Yes, one of these days I must also try to use textures... solarsparkle's sig is cute, I love how that texture gives it a kind of "grainy" effect that makes it look like an old photo.
So your parents aren't American? Well, I suppose that explains why you know basic Chinese :). And it's good I haven't forgotten how to express myself in English this summer xD.

Elriel: Yup, my parents were born in Burma (now Myanmar) but are of Chinese background, Mom can speak over 7 various dialects, of course, including Cantonese and Mandarin.. and Burmese. They moved from Burma to Hong Kong, where my grandmother/grandfather live, then they came here and soon became U.S. citizens. I was born here. Never learned how to speak any Chinese dialect fluently, but I can understand most basic conversational Cantonese, and very very little Mandarin.

(Seriously, during sixth grade I had this huge obsession. I sang the songs every day at recess...because I still had recess, of course
along with my friend, Emily, who also had a huge obsession. We tried out for the school play by singing "For Good" together. We had every song memorized. I nagged my mom until she let me see it. I've heard reports, yes. It is my opinion that it never ends. People never grow up. I try to avoid getting involved in any of it. Yeeeahhhh. Unfortunately, my brother still participates- his major goal in life is to be popular. An actual conversation:
Me: Why are you wearing that shirt? And your military tag? Is there a point? (note, the military tag is just assigned to those in middle school.)
Him: I'm building up my image.
Me:...Ryan, we're going out to dinner. Nobody you're going to know will be there. Who are you building up your image for? And what image do you want anyways?
Him: ... SHUT UP! YOU'RE NOT POPULAR, OKAY? YOU DON'T KNOW HOW IT IS! I NEED MORE FRIENDS!
Me: ...have fun with that, then.
He reminds me of Ronnie sometimes.

I just loved the set design and the effects as well. A+ for props and the basic set on the sides of the stage! (the stairs with the vines all twisted about them and such)
That's okay if you're not the most active person -- anything helps and is appreciated :]
On another note, I'm feeling lousy (not necessarily my mood, but just physically since I'm still getting over this god forsaken cold), and kind of bored. I plan on working on a few more requests, scanning some things, and just relaxing before I have to do some hardcore packing next week for school.
