If I knew how to make websites and stuff I would totally make my own and make it all spiffy, but alas.

I misread a request so the end result is two wallpapers, since I wasn't simply going to throw out the one I was almost done with.
I like making individual character wallpapers so in the future I may simply do one for each character.
This project will be ongoing, of course, so don't expect me to make them all in a week. XP
But when I officially announce that wallpapers will be made, anyone will then be able to request a wallpaper of whatever character they want.

What's your favorite song, album, singer, and/or genre?
Song: Oh, my gosh, I dunno. At the moment, maybe This Is Your Life by The Killers, but it's hard to figure out because it changes so rapidly.
Album: Day and Age by The Killers (currently)
Singer: The Killers (can you tell my obsession right now? The artists do come and go, but I've always liked them, so I'll just go with it)
Genre: Alternative, but I also like some dance songs because they make me smile. For instance, when I'm listening to my iPod at school and a silly song comes on (like Still Alive or, ummm, Lucky by Lucky Twice) it makes me laugh to know that they're all listening to rap or something and they might think I'm listening to a certain type but I'm actually listening to a certain genre? I don't know, it just amuses me.
Other than that, right now, because it's Christmas, I'm listening to four different Mannheim Steamroller albums on a loop in the nighttime when I do my homework. =D They have the best Christmas songs and they use toy pianos. If you can't tell, I really like Christmas.
And don't even get me started on my Christmas socks! =D
In case you don't want to read that all, let me summarize: I love Christmas. Only, uh, 16 days! ^^ Plus, I only have around 9 days until break. Wheee.

The calendar idea is cool, but my life is kinda hectic right now so I'm not really able to commit to any long projects. :S
In addition, I enjoy making somewhat minimalistic wallpapers and I'm not sure if that translates well to wallpapers.. eh, I suppose it's a possibility that people will enjoy them.

What's your favorite song, album, singer, and/or genre?
1. I have several: "Oki Kuma's Adventure" by Machinae Supremacy, "Okami: Celestial Winds of the East" a remix of "Reset" by McVaffe from OCRemix, there's also another OCRemix I love that is a remix of several themes from Shadow of the Colossus.
2. Album: None really, there's always a bunch of songs I will dislike on almost every album.
3. Singer: Eh, I don't really have one. I admire Utada Hikaru because she just seems like a cool role model (though I can't stand those KH songs sometimes because fans who sing horribly tend to belt that song like there's no tomorrow) and I can really relate to her.
4. Genre: I like all genres except country, hardcore rap, and emo music. Country does not appeal to me with the exception of that Kid Rock "All Summer Long" song because of the beat and maybe one or two others. The type of rap that I hate is the type that talks about doing drugs and shooting people and having sex with "hoes" or "bitches." By "emo music" I'm talking about songs that talk about how life is ending and that it's not worth it to live and depressiondepressiondepression.
Otherwise, I like everything. I'm not an "elite" music-type of person so my playlist is comprised of silly songs, random 90s songs (my childhood.. incl. Darkwing Duck theme song or Carmen Sandiego theme song), classical, rock, jazz, video game remixes (wtfpwn)...
It's a huge mix of crazy. Really. <3
In summary, I'm not picky when it comes to music. I am a sucker for catchy songs with a nice beat (I like songs that make you wanna dance). Epicness is preferred when it comes to certain songs (epic = song makes me think of amazing stories of heroes and such.. inspirational in that kind of way).

I have nothing to request right now, but maybe in the future I will want something. However, I do have a question (or two) for you, if you would please answer it (them) for me. First, what program(s) do you use for your graphic editing? Second, are there any tutorials you can recommend that can help improve someone's graphic editing capabilities?

Thanks for the luck. I'm only worried about one particular final (psychology of language, professor's challenging), and I have to edit my 30-page paper for Monday, but that's about it for the major stressors. :]
I can't wait to go home and enjoy my winter break and RELAX for once.

Good for you for having a broad taste in music! I try to be as open-minded as possible to most genres. Some genres just grow on you. I used to hate certain forms of rock until I was given some songs that somewhat fit in that category, and now I'm a fan.

1. I use Photoshop, as well as a few vector-drawing programs (miscellaneous ones).
2. I'm going to give a brief lecture because I find my advice helps new graphic artists the best. My advice is a result from noticing that too many artists rely on tutorials and their unique style(s) never shines through, etc.
WARNING: BIG POST AHEAD! o__o;
Although tutorials can be ok for picking out certain techniques (maybe you need basic assistance on how to use the pen tool, for example), simply following all of them step-by-step will not help you in the long run. Tutorials hinder you because those who tend to use tutorials and follow them step-by-step will end up having a somewhat restrained style.
So, my advice is to use only a few tutorials to work on basic filter effects or whatnot. After that (a relatively short period of time), EXPLORE. See what you can do without following a step-by-step tutorial and you will find that you can probably create something you're most comfortable with and call it your own.
In the beginning, I used a few tutorials just to familiarize myself with filter effects and the program's capabilities. Then, I actually EXPERIMENTED ( gasp! :] ) with colors and techniques. I personally think a few people have a predisposition to graphic design than others (since graphic design is more than putting pretty effects in the background and simply sticking an image on top of it; it's about concepts, overall composition of the piece, technique, etc.), so some will just have to work harder to get to a respectable level.
Nowadays, I have had a few years of experience with graphic design so I have a variety of styles I can use successfully. I still have a crapload of things to learn and to try, so I am in no way suggesting I'm top of the line (I'm definitely fighting to get there!). I tend to be able to look at almost any signature and I can (almost always) recreate the effect or explain a method on how to do something similar. This excludes a few filter effects because I don't actually use them that much except for editing purposes towards the end.
RESOURCES I SUGGEST FOR YOU:
I will give you a few filter tutorials just to get you started, but I trust that you won't simply be churning out work that simply imitates these results because no one learns "properly" (effectively) that way. Good luck with learning and improving. If you need to ask me questions or you want to know how to recreate something you've seen elsewhere, just ask.
(I can't/don't have the time to write tutorials for my work because that would take.. yeah... in addition, I'd rather not people simply imitate what I do.)

I wish to say, just quickly, that I like all music too. As long as it doesn't swear (or at least, not excessively, so I can mute it), and it has lots of awesome instrumental bits with good, multi-part, melody-filled epicness, it's good. I have folk songs, and some country, soundtracks (to musicals, mostly), alternative, rock, pop, and pretty much everything. Just so that you know I don't discriminate either
In fact, my favorite songs have already moved on, so I'm going on a pretty much all-out Mannheim Steamroller/Death Cab for Cutie/Keane/whatever comes up on the Genius playlist binge. Wheee. *bobs head to website's music*
