Daughter in mother
And mother in daughter;
Lies from the honest,
And truth from the liar -

Who fell through the air
To be born from the water,
And rose from the dust
To be lost to the fire.

Tell me, oh, tell me
The name of the mother
Who moved for the daughter
Who hated her own.

And tell me, oh, tell me
The name of the daughter
Who moved for the mother
Who waited alone.

(Please spoiler cut any answers.)

Spoiler: Hint
How many families in Ace Attorney are this dysfunctional?

Actually, strike that. Never mind.

Your hint is Trials and Tribulations.

And I've rephrased the first verse to make the meaning a little clearer. Marginally.

Thank you very much! Even with that, though, I'm not very good at riddles. :sadshoe:

I have answers to give (almost certainly incorrect), and if you ask me to explain my reasoning, I'll probably end up embarrassing myself. Regardless:

The mother is
Spoiler:
Misty Fey.

The daughter is
Spoiler:
Mia Fey.

Remember, I'm almost CERTAIN my answers are totally wrong, but what can I say? There are still some lines I don't quite grasp the meaning behind.

Correct on the first, wrong on the second. The key thing is...:

Spoiler: Hint 2
There's more than one mother, and more than one daughter. That's what makes all the paradoxes work.

Spoiler:
I know, but I initially chose to assume that the two were mother and daughter to each other (a fatal assumption, I see).

With this information, the answer is clear (I think):

The daughter is
Spoiler:
Dahlia Hawthorne.

Second verse makes more sense now, doesn't it?

But I think it'll be clearer if I edit the second verse.

IMO
Spoiler:
Quote:
Daughter in mother
And mother in daughter;
Lies from the honest,
And truth from the liar -

Well, I guess it's talking about chanelizing... Chanelizing Misty Fey...
Quote:
Who fell through the air
To be born from the water,
And rose from the dust
To be lost to the fire.

I guess it's talking about the bridge and when Dahlia fell to the river
Quote:
Tell me, oh, tell me
The name of the mother
Who moved for the daughter
Who hated her own.
... uhh... Morgan Fey?
Quote:
And tell me, oh, tell me
The name of the daughter
Who moved for the mother
Who waited alone.
Maya! I guess...

So...
Spoiler:
Answers: Misty, Dahlia, Morgan & Maya
