And I need some Ideas. Including HOW the murder occurs, and some names. I'm also trying to make this a "Sequel" to the frachiese (Obviously non-cannon), and I'm trying to make all my characters descendents of the main characters. Here's what I have so far:
Attorny: Johnathan Wright. son (She kept her name), never lost a case, (Learned from the best). Unlike Phoenix, He's more interested in the Verdict, not the truth. Until this case (See Defendent). Left his wife and Allison when Ali was just seven. Only see's Allison once a month.
Deffendent: Allison Wright. Johnathan's daughter. IS GUILTY!! Is also convinced that her daddy will bail her out, "Cause it's his job." Motive: Apollo let her boyfriend be convicted
Detecive: Dawn Terr Gumshoe (She generaly goes by "Daw"). Daughter (Yea, he got lucky)
Prossecuter: Name Unknown. Johnathan's ex-wife and Allison's Mother. Obviously wants Allison to be innocent, but will do her job. Holds grudge over Johnathan for leaving him.
Victim: Apollo Justice
First Scene:
Spoiler: Scene 1
[Apollo is sitting in his chair rummaging through notes, Allison walks in with an angry look]
Allison:You said you would get him acquitted!!
Apollo:I’m sorry Allison, but I put the truth ahead of what I think should happen.
Allison:He was my boyfriend and he was innocent!
Apollo:He was a thief, and a murderer, and even if he was innocent for this particular crime, which he wasn’t that’s not enough for me to let a guilty man go free!
Allison:But your job was to defend him!
Apollo:My job is to find the truth!
Allison:Well you did a damn horrible job at it!
Apollo:Look, Even if you don’t want to admit it, your boyfriend was guilty!
Allison:You’ve never lost a case in your life!
Apollo:I’ve never knowingly defended a guilty man in my life!
Allison:I should have known you wouldn’t properly defend him! “Go to my dad,” I told him, “He’ll make sure you get out of this.” But instead he went and asked you! The one man who could possibly get him found guilty!
Apollo:He got what was coming to him!
Allison:… … [As she starts to cool down] You know… I use to think you were a good attorney! One who would do anything for an innocent verdict. Daddy’s told me several times about how you got that one “Watoky” or whatever off the hook!
Apollo:First of all, his name was “Wocky,” and-
Allison:But I guess I was wrong, you’re nothing but a fake! You don’t give a damn about your verdict do you?
Apollo:Like I said I-
Allison:You’re no longer worthy to be an attorney. [Pulling out a gun (in the direction of the Audience)] In fact, I don’t think you’ve the right to live any longer.
Apollo:What do you-?
Allison:Good-bye… “Uncle Apollo” [Turns around and shoots him in the heart]
Spoiler: SCENE 2
[Dawn is examining Apollo’s body. Another detective is with Allison, who looks as if she is about to cry. Johnathan Enters Stage Left, panicking at the sight of Apollo’s body]
John: What happened here?
Dawn: He was shot in the heart. The bullet broke the vase in front of him, causing the… [Realizing that she doesn’t know who he is] Excuse me, uhh who are you?
John: Johnathan Wright, Attorney at Law, I came over as soon as I herd.
Dawn: So, you’re going to figure out who did this Wright?
John: No, I help DEFEND whoever’s been accused.
Dawn: Oh, good, well we’ve already got a suspect, and judging on the evidence, she’s the only one who could’ve done it.
John: Well you obviously don’t know my family. Who’s your-
Dawn: Wait a second, are you THE Johnathan Wright? Grandson of Phoenix Wright?
John: Uhh yeah. Now again, who’s your-
Dawn: My daddy’s said some pretty good things about your Grandpa.
John: I’m sure he has, now then who’s-
Dawn: Your Grandpa was a great lawyer. Rarely lost a-
John: Who’s the damn suspect?
Dawn: Oh, sorry. She’s over there, her name’s Allison.
John: [Finally realizing Allison’s in the room] Oh no… not Allison…
Dawn: You know her?
John: She’s my Daughter.
Dawn: Ooh… I’m sorry.
John: Well, can I talk to her? Ask her what happened?
Dawn: Sorry, you know the rules. You can’t talk to her without her officially asking for you to be her lawyer.
John: Oh come on. Who are you anyway? Where’s Skye? She normally runs the investigations of my cases.
Dawn: Detective Skye’s on vacation. She doesn’t live on noodles like me. Anyways, I’m Daw Terr Gumshoe. [Reaching for a handshake] Best detective since-
Allison: [Interrupting] Johnath- I mean, Dad… Where’ve you been? Why weren’t you here sooner? Will you be my lawyer?
John: Of course I will Ali. [Kisses her forehead] Of course I will.
Spoiler: Sxene 3
[Johnathan and Allison sit on opposite sides of a piece of glass. Allison is writing on a piece of paper, when finished, she slides it over to Johnathan]
Allison: There you go. Now you’re my attorney.
John: Ok, then. Before I ask about the case, can I ask a few personal questions?
Allison: Fine.
John: How’s your mom?
Allison: She’s fine; she still lives with me, unlike a certain somebody.
John: I thought we talked about that.
Allison: Oh right, I think you said, “Your mom ditched me, and took you with her.” Come on, do you really expect me to believe that? I was ten when you left us, I could read the little note that said “I can’t raise a family and earn money at the same time. I choose the money.” Believe me John, seven years isn’t enough time for me to forget that note. You left us, end of story.
John: I am your Father and-
Allison: Since when? Even when you were in my life you were never around. Always off on your, “next big case.” I don’t even know why I called you “Daddy” in the first place.
John: Then why’d you want me as an attorney?
Allison: Because I know that you’ll get me out of this. I don’t know a lawyer who’s more dedicated to his work than you are. Especially since you’re more dedicated to your work than your own family.
John: I’m really sorry Ali I just-
Allison: Oh yeah, “Sorry” as if. You’ve tried “Sorry” Every month for the last seven years.
John: Can we change the subject?
Allison: Fine.
John: How’s school?
Allison: Alright, I have a boyfriend now… well, had a boyfriend, until Uncle Apollo decided to find him guilty of murder.
John: Be careful, with talk like that, I might think you were guilty.
Allison: Well, that’s why I was charged in the first place. Well that and the fact that I was in the room when the police arrived.
John: Why were you there?
Allison: I was spending the weekend with Uncle Apollo. I was in the guest room asleep when I herd a gunshot from his office. I went to see what happened.
John: Did anyone see you?
Allison: Unfortunately no. Nor did I see who shot him. When I got to his office, he was on the floor basically as you saw him.
John: “Basically”?
Allison: The blood was still flowing from his blood wound. Other than that, he was the same.
John: I see. [He closes his eyes, starting to think]
Allison: [After a few seconds] I didn’t believe it you know.
John: Excuse me?
Allison: The note, I didn’t believe it. At least not at first. I couldn’t. I was ten, I didn’t understand. I thought it was my fault you left. I guess part of me still thinks that.
John: You know that’s not true.
Allison: Yeah, but I still think that.
[A guard enters]
Guard: Allison Wright? I need to take you in for questioning.
John: I’ll see you later Allison.
Allison: Okay bye.

Re: So I'm Writing a play based on PW for my Drama class...
How 'bout this: First of all, I don't like the idea that the defendant is guilty. Not Allison herself, I like that the attorney's daughter was the killer, but make it so that she isn't the initial defendant. The first suspect should be someone else, that way there's more drama in suddenly discovering that the actual attorney's daughter was the culprit all along! Since the attorney's daughter is guilty, the crime scene could be a high school. The first suspect would be some other student, accused of stabbing a classmate during break. Let's say they found a knife under his/her desk with no fingerprints and she goes on trial. Later on the police find a pair of gloves in the classroom, and they're submitted as evidence. Then Jonathan says "Hey, since the knife has no prints, then the killer must have used those gloves." So they examine the prints in the gloves, and it turns out they belong to Allison. Jonathan tries to desperately give her a not guilty verdict, even by accusing other students, but in the end Allison decides to confess. The end.

So, how's that sound?
Sounds cool, though I was thinking during church that the victim could be her "Uncle Apollo", (Don't ask why I thought of this during church)
Also, the whole reason I'm having her be the defendent is becaus I plan on having her treat Johnathan more as an attorney, RATHER than a father. Also I want this case to make John realise the importance of the TRUTH rather than just getting the Innoscent verdict

OK, so I have a "First scene" written out, and need a second (And third, and probably more) opinion, so without further adue, here's "Turnabout Relations"

Whoa... that's really cool. Although I think it would be more effective if Allison and the guilty dude were engaged, you know, something more bonding. And I don't quite understand this line,
Quote:
Apollo:I’ve never knowingly defended an innocent man in my life
did you mean guilty man in this line?
