I love how the red suited guy looks like he’s a vampire out of Castlevania. Bloodsuckers and lawyers go so well together….

Edgeworth in Castlevania. How awesom isn't that.

I remember the last real attorney I talked to, he was a genuine ass. However, my grandmother-in-law also knows this really cool attorney that actually walks around in lounge pants and a sweater (not unlike a certain familiar character...)

I know a law student who is in her last year, is pretty awesome and is in love with these games. I also know through "protoman" a lawyer who actually uses Phoenix-Wright-Tactics IN REAL COURT. Minor court, mind you, but when he yells objection or presents evidence he does it in proper Wrightian Modus Operandi.

Fan-tastic

It'd be so great to watch that :)

For sure. I would almost pay to watch that.. until I remember that real court isn't nearly as exciting as AA court~

Of course they never will be.

I have an aunt who's a lawyer, and I let her play Ace Attorney on my DS for a little while, but she got angry at the game since Larry was testifying against himself which apparently isn't allowed. I had to take the game away from her.

See, the thing here is that you are expecting people with a major generational gap to comprehend something that is essentially very specific with a target age group. Yes there are exceptions to target demographics, but more or less they are what they are. The other thing to keep in mind - would your Aunt or Mother typically play video games at all? My mother wont, it could be a Wario Ware or a Metal Gear Solid or anything in between and she'll still cast it the same level of disdain. So... Some real lawyers might maybe kinda sorta be this awesome (given that their line of duty is actually.. rather substantially different in real life than it is reflected in the games). There could just be other reasons why your Aunt or Mother don't like the game, and not just the lawyer factor.

Granted I don't actually know either of these people and for all I know it actually could just be that they are lawyers that they don't like the games...
also... I play AA right before I go to bed... so I often end up falling asleep to it as well.. Which is annoying because when I wake up I have to go through entire testimonies all over again just to figure out WTH is going on~

It wasn't really that she didn't like the game, she just got a little too caught up in the little detail that he shouldn't be doing that. I wasn't saying that "Oh, lawyers obviously don't like the game", it was just meant to be a little more along the lines of "Hey, I have a funny story about real lawyers and Ace Attorney."
