I'm not sure where this belongs, so if it's in the wrong forum I'm sorry.

Anyway, I noticed a lot of you are really talented at making Phoenix Wright custom sprites; so I was wondering if one of you could make a spriting tutorial (related to Phoenix Wright, preferrably).

Just a suggestion. :yogi:

Yeah, I've been trying to find a tutorial as well, because as you can see in my icon, I'm not too great at the sprite editing thing. :larry:

Hmm..a sprite tutorial, eh? Well, you know, I'm probaly not an expert on sprites, but doing a tutorial sounds like a good idea. There's only two things about that. One would be that for each sprite, different editing is required. Secondly, Different people use different methods. I, for example, use Paint, with the occasional Adobe Photoshop (an old version >_>) for diagonal trus and recolouring. So depending on what programs you have, the methodscould be quite different.

I might be able to make a tutorial for mostly Paint and a little Adobe, using a sprite I made recently. Although, I'm not sure if I'm good or not ^^'. I'll probably be full of useful tips and such :3

And Auron, Your's is pretty good! I've seen some pretty bad ones before, but yours looks quite nice! ^_^

I wouldn't mind a tutorial either. I'm sure there are more effective techniques out there than what I'm doing. How fast would you have got my sig image done? It took me a bit over an hour.

That probably would have taken me also an hour XD I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I would have been picking it apart, even though nothing would be wrong with it. :3 Hour is always a good amount of time.
I'll probably see what I can do in terms of a tutorial XD I think I have the perfect sprite for it too...

It's probably not going to be the best, because my explaining might be mixed up. And while I'm using one sprite, I'm trying to make it for spriting in general. And I'm using a sprite I already made. It's like those cooking shows, where they have the premade food, already cooked! So if something seems inconsistant, just tell me XD

(I'm working right now on it too ^^)

All depends on a number of factors. Like

What programs are you using or gonna be using? Are you drawing them from scratch? Are you editing an existing sprite?

Yeah, spriting is a very subjective process. Good luck to whoever can pull it off.

That's what I was saying >_> It all depends really. Maybe it shouldn't called a tutorial as such, but more like Tips and Tricks!
Like, "if you were going to do that, then do this..." sort of thing. Maybe It should be per request? Because trying to cover everything is hard T-T And missing stuff is easy

Excellent idea! Not a tutorial, but a FAQ! I like where this is going, Mast3r Riku. :hobohodo: I'd help in any way possible.

Well, A good start would be some suggestions on techniqes. I'm thinking about some different way of Recolouring (I use Adobe, so It would be that way!)

Suggestion: If you are a complete newbie making custom sprites, start by editing an existing sprite.
