I've liked idea of casting American actors and actresses in Ace Attorney roles ever since I saw the actual Ace Attorney movie.

Also, how about Willem Dafoe as Redd White, Ben Kingsley as Querqus Alba, and Ellen Page as Vera Misham?

Updated through 1-2, cast as follows:

You know, it'd be nice if they ever did an American Phoenix Wright movie with professional Hollywood actors and actresses. But guess what? There's no chance in hell of that ever happening. I really, really love the Winston Payne! I never would have thought of Dakota Fanning as Ema, but I think it's a good choice. Hayek as Vasquez is great also.

For me, I always imagined Jennifer Aniston as Lana. Something about her long hair always reminds me of Lana.
Jayma Mays as Ema. I'm not much of a fan of Glee, but when I did catch an episode, she really struck me as being a good Ema.
Either Matthew Morrison or Jake Gyllenhaal as Phoenix Wright.
For some reason, I always imagined Brian Blessed being Udgey. That would be pretty hilarious now I think about it.

I can admit, now that you've mentioned them both, one of my fancasts—Ian Mckellen is Alba And Ellen Page will show up too! There's someone she looks even more like just around the corner... Dafoe is great, though, just might have to use that... I was seriously considering Colin Firth for Redd at this point, lol. Note: some of mine are models, not actors, because I couldn't find satisfactory actors and/or the models look too much like them to pass up. And expect a couple instances of race bending! :D Yay for diversity!

That could become really freaking cool. Unlike Ace Attorney though, I feel that Metal Gear is marketable. The series has a wide fan-base and there's plenty of great action scenes. Hideo Kojima is said to have close involvement with it as well, so I don't think it will be absolutely terrible. I think Ace Attorney is more suited for an anime. The producers of the video game series even said that they would do it with the the right circumstances.
