Do AA shippings have names? Because I was gonna name them all and put it on here. Just a crazy :payne:

People have come up with various ship names in AA, as they often do in other fandoms.

I see NaruMitsu or Feeniris pop up quite a bit. Pairings themselves don't bother me for the most part but I consider the practice of constructing portmanteau ships to be the devil so I tend to not participate.

I do remember, once upon a time, before amalgamated couples' names became rampant, that literal ship names were popular (as in, H.M.S. insert-something-cute-to-represent-pairing.). Of course, this was mostly for amusement.

I remember in the Yugioh fandom there were "Xshipping" names for certain pairings (lighthouseshipping, spiritshipping, etc) but I don't think there's any names like that for AA...

AA pairings tend to be represented by the "default" way, which is "Character/Character" or "CharacterXCharacter" (or A/B and AxB if you're in a hurry).

There are a few exceptions though, such as FeenRis and KlaviEma.

And I once called Edgeworth/Franziska EdgeFran.

Yeah, me too, though I rarely - if never - talk about pairings.

I remember someone categorizing Phoenix/Maya as NaruMayo before on a Fanfic I read once.

Just in case for those who don't know, Naruhodou Ryuuichi and Ayasato Mayoi are Phoenix's and Maya's Japanese names respectively.
