The time is right after PW: AA. Edgeworth is contemplating what it means to be a prosecutor and as such he has left for a single year in order to try and understand what being a prosecutor is. His time away is far from relaxing however.

While is Europe Edgeworth discovers that crime is rampant, law has lost it's effectiveness and the guilty can weasel it's way out of almost any situation. Corrupt and powerful Defense attorneys are rampant and amongst it Edgeworth must come to deal with his past, present and future as he battles to make sure that the guilty are brought to justice.

He gains the help of Ema and a few other people who give Edgeworth the help he needs to overcome his adversaries in this new thrilling game.

So what is this? Well essentially this is a flash game I'm making in honor of everyones favorite snappy dressed prosecutor. Rather then the traditional role of defense attorney. In this game your objective is not ONLY to solve mysteries but to try and get the criminals arrested of the crimes they committed.

However, thus far I only have this...

So I would like to ask anyone's help for this. Any sprites, locations, characters, ANYTHING you can offer I will gladly take.

Would there be any chance in the first case you have Manfred mentoring you? That would be freaking awesome having him in the Co-Council side of the desk!

No I planned the first case to take place with Edgeworth and Ema.

As to the case itself and who the guilty party is, I only have a rough idea thus far.

One could be accused of an intentional side-collision car crash and killing the victim.

Humble beginnings...

And in my opinion, you really can't mention Edgeworth without mentioning von Karma, but if you're not including him as a flashback or tutorial... well, that's your choice. And I'm sure everyone hopes to see a little Franziska, too. There was some chemistry in JFA that people want to see capitalized on.

Oh Karma is defiantly there. He doesn't actually show up in person though. The game is more about Edgeworth as he tries to grasp what it means to be a prosecutor.

Hey guys. I've been thinking about the cases and this is what I've come up with.

EDIT:: After some complaints I've decided to change the titles of the cases to have "Comeback" in there. Why?

1) I felt that it was a good comparison to turnabout without it being similar.

2) This is about Edgeworths comeback after his problems in PW: AA

3) It overall has a nice ring to it...

Image

Edgeworth is still getting use to Prosecuting in Europe, what's weird is that while it's obvious (to Edgeworth at least) that the guilty is one of their witnesses. Ema isn't so sure. Can Edgeworth find the true person behind this Murder?

And to make it worse the Defense is Jalen Payne, brother of the "famous" prosecutor Winston Payne... so you KNOW how difficult it'll be. Edgeworth

Image

A month before the first case in the game, Edgeworth has come to Europe to get away from prosecuting. But it seems to find him anyway. After being brought to the Police station by a rather incompotent Inspector Clueso (guess where I got his name from) he finds a woman claiming to be innocent and that the defense attourney for the true guilty party framed her.

After meeting up with Ema, Edgeworth must decide if he will find the guilty and see them justice. Or has he simply lost the will to Prosecute?

Image

Edgeworth accompanies Ema to Greece. She says she wants to learn about detective work in Greece but thus far she only seems to want to sight see. It's here that they encounter the scene of a murder. A movie was being produced, telling the tale of an ancient Spartan battle (a little homage to 300), however one of the actors was murdered on set, a spear was driven into his back and the main actor is the most likely candidate.

Edgeworth's suspicion gets the best of him and he and Ema must uncover the strange murder surrounding the Spartan warriors. Tonight they prosecute in hell and raise objections in the shade.

Image

Edgeworths first case (GS3, Case 4) was somewhat of a failure for him since the defendant had died before he could be charged. Edgeworths next case after that involved him investigating a murder. To make things more interesting his mentor Manfred Von Karma and his daughter Franseska had come to help him. But now that Edgeworth looks back on it he wonders if the client he found Guilty truely deserved the punish he recived from both the Judge, and from Von Karma.

Image

Edgeworths final case before returning (in JFA), he must come to grips about his past and what it means to be a prosecutor. He is faced with a secret about Von Karma, the defense of Europe and a crime ring so powerful even the police fear them. One prosecutor must do the impossible and bring down a corrupt but powerful member of Parlament. Now begins Miles Edgeworth's case to save himself, Ema and several other people from the face of evil.

To make them different from traditional PW cases. This is Ace PROSECUTOR Miles Edgeworth.

Not Ace Attournet Phoenix Wright.

Not really. You just need to get use to it.

I myself was wondering for a while what "Turnabout" meant until it all came into that whole "Rise from the Ashes" Phoenix bit. And even then it makes mroe sense to call it "Comeback" *shrug*.

Backabout sounds more like a retreat, unfortunately.

Turnabouts and reversals are a major thematic in the original PW games - "Gyakuten Saiban" literally means "Turnabout Law." Every case is set up so that it appears to go in one direction, then completely flips itself over. I realize you want to differentiate this project, but at the same time you can't turn your back on what makes PW what it is. You see what I did there?

Think about it some more before you make any rash decisions, and find a dictionary. The English language has thousands of words - backabout isn't one of them.

Hey, you can use my Defense attorney (see avatar) as one of your guys. It's Durrer Von Karma, which is basicly what Manfred would be if he was a Defense attorney. I'm not good at spriting though, but it's a blueprint you can use!

Are you going to be flying solo on this project, or are you considering having writing/Flash help?

I will neither confirm nor deny the use of 300 quotes but I will say that I have a rough idea what the ending will be...

(oh, and the actor you use as a witness who gets tried with the murder. His name is Leo Needias).

Greece is well known for its' beaches. Maybe for the first part of "Comeback Sparta" we could see Ema in a swimsuit?

You asked for his last name, so I gave it to you.
But if you're asking why I added the whole, "What are you talking about?" thing, it was because I misspelled Hertz like Hurtz.
