This is my first ever fanfic.....it is Maya/Edgey. Enjoy.

"Miles!” Her voice rang with pure joy, a sound that, to him, was like the soft tinkling of bells. He glanced over his broad shoulder, and a small grin spread across his face. He quickly realized the emotion in his appearance, and attempted to cover it up by returning to the solemn expression he always wore. She grinned and extended her finger in front of his nose. “I saw that!” She was still grinning as she paused but then her facial gradually changed to one of concern. “You don’t always have to try so hard.” He felt his face grow warm. Her eyes lit, and she grinned once more. “WHAT IS THIS?!? The inhuman prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth, who would do anything for a guilty verdict, has just showed some sign of feeling! Somebody, call the paparazzi!” He scowled, and mumbled “You don’t need to rub it in, Maya.” She threw her head back and laughed, another pure sound to the young man at Maya’s side. He let himself smile once more. Though the snow started to slowly drift past them, and began to quietly pile on their heads, he felt genuinely warm, as though a spring breeze had swept over him. Her head jerked up suddenly and Miles looked down in surprise. “What is it?” he inquired politely, awaiting a response. Her eyes grew dark and clouded and she slowly slumped to the ground. “Maya?” He called her name, panic slightly cutting through his tense voice. “Maya?” He kneeled down beside her, and wiped his hand over her forehead. “You’re burning up!” He quickly shrugged off his jacket and draped it over her unconscious body. He bent down to her ear and whispered “I’m going to get help. I’ll be right back.” Even though he knew she couldn’t hear him. He turned on his heel, and started shouting “SOMEBODY!!! HELP PLEA-“ Something tiny and weak wrapped around his left ankle, he spun and saw Maya with her hand on his leg. He kneeled down once more ”Maya-“ He was quickly cut off by a voice that was not hers. “Edgeworth. Don’t forget. One year ago today.” He gasped in shock as he realized the voice was coming from Maya, yet it wasn’t Maya’s sweet little voice at all. His mind grasped what he had just been told, and the memory started to unravel before his eyes.
*“HOLD IT!!!!” Edgeworth looked up in shock as he heard a girl’s voice, young but confident, ring through the court. He had been lost in his dreary thoughts of prison that he was sure would be his sentence, and memories of his two friends, the only friends he ever had, that he had betrayed. And now one of those friends was defending him in an impossible murder trial, another stating a testimony to help get him home safe. They were protecting him, and he could do nothing but hurt them. As if this wasn’t enough on his mind, he also suffered frequent nightmares of the DL-6 incident…… his father….the elevator….the single gunshot…..and the scream that would haunt him for the rest of his life. He was covered in sin, or so he thought, as the objection interrupted the Judge’s verdict. “HOLD IT!!!!” He looked to his right, a young girl in the strangest garments had just risen her voice to be heard. “Lotta Hart! Your testimony stinks! It's unclear whether you were actually looking at the lake! It's highly doubtful that you actually saw Mr. Edgeworth! Tell us the truth! This is a matter of life or death!” The southern accented witness who had taken the stand blinked in astonishment. Edgeworth looked at the young girl in shock, thinking ‘Is she serious? Doesn’t she know she’s in contempt of court?!?’ The girl huffed and screamed again,” Lotta! Did you really clearly see Mr. Edgeworth that night!? Did you see him fire that pistol!?” He slowly tuned out what was happening and was lost once again in his thoughts. ‘She….yelled…in court...for me?’ His lip quivered. “She cares? Even though I almost put her behind bars?” He sadly reminisced the Fey murder trial, in which the girl had been a suspect. Detective Gumshoe then turned and questioned, “Mr. Edgeworth? Are you….crying?” He stood quickly and ran from the courtroom, the tears staining his face. They were handcuffing her and putting her in the back seat of a police car. He stood there, wondering why she was in this position. He exhaled slowly as he thought out loud “Oh……contempt of court…right.” He dashed to the in the driver’s seat of the car and tapped on the tinted glass. The police officer rolled down the window and ogled him in shock. “Mr. Edgeworth? What in the-“ Edgeworth stopped him quickly, “Her bail….how much?” The officer gawked “F-fifty dollars…but-“ “Fine.” He pulled out a black leather wallet and pulled a fifty out as if it were fifty cents. “Will that cover it?” The officer gawked once more and stated “Well, yes, but she’ll still need to be questioned.” Edgeworth glared at him, and demanded through gritted teeth, “Make. It. Quick.” The officer gulped in fear “Y-yessir!” *
The memory cut through him, leaving him wounded and bleeding, as he remembered in shock the trial in which he had narrowly escaped the life penalty. Another memory cut through him, an echo of Nick’s voice this time. “Yeah….she was my mentor. Mia Fey.” He gasped in realization and glanced down at Maya. She had been trained as a spirit medium, the daughter, in fact, of the medium in cahoots with the police during the DL-6 incident. Her sister, Mia, had been a well-known defense attorney whose life had come to a dark close the year before. He slowly stuttered “M-Mia? Mia Fey?” Mia, who was being channeled through Maya’s body, then spoke. “Long time no see, Edgeworth. You’ve changed, I see. Perhaps too much. Ah, well. I suppose it’s all for the greater good. Straight to the point, then?” He gulped, sweat dripping down his face, but nodded slowly. “Brave man. I respect that. Anyway, all I came to say is be careful. I know what you have planned…..” He inhaled rapidly and shoved his hand into his right pocket. “And I know it’s what she wants.” Mia stated, pointing to Maya’s body. “All I’m saying is, that with all the dark emotions swirling around in both of your heads, I’m not sure if there’s enough room for love. If anything happens to her…..I’ll…..I’ll-“ She quickly glared at him “Well…just be careful, okay? Consider yourself warned. “ She then smiled sweetly. “Goodbye, Miles.” He stuttered in shock “W-wait! Mia!” And then she was gone. Maya’s eyelids fluttered, and she slowly formed the word on her lips “Miles?” He spun his head in her direction as quickly as he could. “Maya! Thank god!” She smiled weakly “Did I scare you? I’m sorry.” He gulped, his hand still in his pocket. “Maya…..I know that I’m covered in sins, my soul is pure black. And I know that I am technically your sworn enemy….even so…..eve-….s…..” He was ready to change the subject at that moment, but the words of her older sister rang in his ears and somehow, he found strength. “Maya. With your help, I believe I can change. Please stay with me.” He pulled a small black velvet box out of his pocket. Maya quickly realized what was going on, and blushed in surprise. “W-will…..will….will you…..” The burst of energy quickly evaporated. Knowing there were many beautiful things she could say at this moment, she sorted through all of them, searching for the one most fit. She finally decided on something simple, yet concise. “Yes.” Her eyes brimmed with tears, and she wrapped her arms around his chest, pulling him into an embrace. He held her close, also overcome with joy and surprise, his face finally showing some emotion. She glanced down over his arm, and gasped with joy. “Miles! Look! It’s a four leaf clover!” He looked at where she stared and sure enough, a bright green four leaf clover popped its head through the thick blanket of snow. Her eyes gleamed “What are you going to wish for?” He smiled at her, and then leaned his head on hers. “Nothing. My wish has already come true.”

I don't think people will be inclined to read this because it is a wall of text.

The general rule is to separate lines of dialogue into their own paragraphs. Each thought/idea would also get its own paragraph as well. When you change to a new character's thoughts you change to a new paragraph.

I agreee with Lunaria42 about the huge block of text, it makes it a bit of an effort to read.

In terms of storyline, I loved it. It was such a sweet story and very good for your first!
Hope to see more of your work (seperated neatly into paragraphs) in future!
