Ah, well I've heard of it. But I wouldn't know anything about it. But that's only a good thing, because I won't be expecting any parallels the fic might have, so it'll be more exciting.

Actually, it would make a good title anyway, even if there was no connection, just as a random reference...

It's a really good chapter! Loved every single bit of it, I enjoyed Phoenix as 'Master' heh heh. Really awesome chapter, it took a while, but it was certainly worth the read.

Out Of Character. The idea was to break a little bit with the established characters' personalities and give them slightly histrionic tendencies, sort of making Phoenix into a non-mutant, verbal-abusing version of Bruce Banner. =p

Definitely one of the hottest Narumayo fics I've read in a while. Your description of their lovemaking was nicely done, descriptive without being too detailed (which is where a lot of lemon fics fail.)

I found Phoenix's reaction to the pregnancy test, and toward Maya's attitude about getting pregnant highly baffling though. Sure, he doesn't mind if they have a kid, but it's obvious that Maya doesn't want one right now. It's odd that instead of respecting that choice, Phoenix is just all "So what? I still love you!"
I just can't see him being that flippant about having a child.

Other than that, it's a great little fic.

Thing is, as far as my experience goes from hearing my female friends talk about it, the pill DOES have very uncomfortable side effects, and while Phoenix respects Maya's decision of not wanting a child, he doesn't want her to go through the strain of having to endure that. Thus why I made him so flippant about it -- I'm sorry if it wasn't properly conveyed in the story, personally I felt it was. =(

Yeah, but the strain of the unwanted pregnancy would be worse than the strain of the pill (and an abortion? Don't even want to think about it :beef:

) It's a far worse problem than just evidence of her secret lover...

But fics are always up for edit to make your intentions more clearly explained :edgy:
