FALLING

Narrator's POV

"Vera! I...." was all Apollo could get out, before
he fell 5 stories. "Apollo!!!!!!!" Vera screamed,
she jolted up, she was in her room.
Her familiar but dark room,
ever since that trial, she had been living with Apollo,
And the Wright's. She sighed, it was all a nightmare.
She had been having dreams like that for about a week now.
She reached over and picked her sketchpad off of her
bedside table, she had drawn the ending of every dream,
Apollo being shot, Apollo drowning, Apollo being stabbed
and him losing his own trial. Now she had to add one more,
Falling to his death. She finished it, just as she put it
on her table, she heard a knock on her door. "Who is it?"
She asked, no answer. She looked around for her nightgown. she
pulled it on and opened the door, Apollo, in his
red PJs. She giggled. His hair was flat, He was tired.
"Apollo....." he looked like he hadn't slept at all.
He looked around sleepily
Vera spoke up "Are you ok?"
He stepped into her room and just
plopped onto her bed. She looked around nervously "Um....
Polly?" He muttered something. As she stepped closer he
pulled her onto the bed. He pulled her into a bear hug,
she was surprisingly felt comfortable, and she fell into a peace-
ful sleep.

Next Morning....
"Ow...." He looked up to see Vera Misham, sleeping on top of him.
"AH!" He screamed, rolling over, he tumbled off the bed,
Trucy heard his shout and burst into Vera's room.
"Polly! What's wrong??!?!?"
He blushed "Nothing, just.... Nothing....."
She looked at Vera "Hey, Vera!" She looked up sleepily
"What?" "Breakfast is ready," Vera shook the sleep away,
and opened up her drawer. She was pulling off her nightgown
To get dressed,
when she caught Apollo's reflection. "Apollo! How did you
get in here?!?!?" She covered herself as best as she could, with her night gown He was gaping like a goldfish. "Vera.... I...." "GET OUT!"
she shouted shoving him out
and slamming the door behind him.
He had this strange feeling, That he did something
he didn't want to do,
And he would regret it for the rest of his life.

Apollo's POV

It must have been that..... What I did last night......
I smiled weakly, I had a peaceful sleep, I know I should feel guilty.....
But that was just a way to show her how I feel....... I sighed.
"Polly!" In rushed Trucy. I sighed, this time longer. "What happened?"
I shrugged. "Vera's just angry." She frowned, "Polly, You made her angry.
What happened?" She started to poke me, I just pushed her aside. "None of your buisness. If you'll excuse me, I have a trial to prepare for." I then
walked off.
Yeah I was kinda harsh. But it was for her own good, being influenced by me, does not help her at all. Especially when I slept with her friend.
My mind wandered from the trial, to her. I smiled, whenever I thought of her, It motivated me, I stood tall, and walked off to the detention center.

Trucy's POV

Something was up, I was in daddy's stuff, I found this green nine shaped
thing, I took it into my room, it had a strange Aura to it, Then daddy came in. I slipped it into the closest thing, Vera's Sketch pad.
"Hey Trucy, What are you doing?" I tried not to seem suspicious. "I was....."
Then I spotted Mr. Hat, "I was working on a routine with Mr. Hat!"
He nodded, "Ok, Have fun!" He closed the door. I sighed, then I proceeded to take it out of her book, Whatever it was, I was going to put it back.
To bad I didn't see it leave a mark on her pad.

Vera's POV

I finally finished breakfast, after the encounter with Polly,
I started to wish I hadn't yelled at him like that. I sighed,
I washed my dish, put it out to dry, and went upstairs. I looked into my room, My sketchpad was missing, Oh no! what if Polly sees my drawings of him!
He'll think I'm a freak! I dashed, from door to door, then I spotted it, it was on Trucy's bed, I sighed. As I came out with it, I bumped into Apollo.
"Oh! Polly!" He smiled. "How are you doing Vera?" "Fine." Then I decided to kinda push it early. "Polly....." "Hm?" I looked up. "Do you.... are you alright?" He smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine." But then, The world around me went dark, Polly and I were alone, I heard chains rattling. And I was met with a strange sight, Polly, Chains and locks over him. 'Wh-WHAT IS THIS?!?!?'
Then they disappeared. We were back in reality. "Well, See you later!"
He gave me a quick hug, and went off. I would have to ask Trucy about
what she did to my book.

Apollo's POV

I won, it turned out it was my Client's brother-in-law that killed
his sister. I walked out of the courthouse, only to bump into Vera.
"V-V-Vera!" She frowned, "Is there something you want to tell me?"
I shook my head. "N-n-NO!" I pushed past her, and dashed home.

Vera's POV

I sighed, He was hiding something. I just know it.
I truged back to the agency, Trucy was watching a DVD,
I smiled. I haven't seen the Steel Samurai in forever.
He was just finishing off the Evil Magistrate.
"I will save the princess!" "Ha ha ha! Try and take her!"
They fought, soon the princess was safe, and the Evil Magistrate went

running. Then of course, Even I stuck around for this, He takes off his

helmet. And kisses the Princess. I sighed, Yes I have fantasies like that.
"I love you." I sighed yet again. Here was the next line, "I love you too."
I just wish...... I shrugged, I still had to talk to her, She stood up
and turned off the DVD. She turned around, "Hello Vera!" I went over to her,
"What did you do to my book?" She looked at me quizzically. "Your book?"
She seemed to be trying to remember whatever it was. "Maybe it had something

to do with that......." "Huh?" "Oh, it was this thing of Daddy's, It was

green, and was shaped like a nine." I frowned, Opening up the book, My jaw

dropped. "Is this it?" I said, showing her the page. She gasped, "Yes! That's

exactly what it looks like! Except.... That one is completely green and not

just a outline..." I turned around, "Where are you going?" I looked back at

her,
"Somewhere I haven't been in a long time, Drew Studio."

Apollo's POV

I sighed, I tossed my vest onto my bed, and plopped onto my couch, it's

amazing how I can afford my apartment, even though I don't get paid.
I turned on my television, It was small, but watchable. "Tonight on the news,
Ace Attorney Apollo Justice nails another case. A perfect Not Guilty verdict,
But is there some secret to his success? Yes, The love of his life, Trucy

Wright." I clenched my fist, and switched channels. "-ove of his life,
Ema Skye." I mashed the buttons, "-f his life, Klavier Gavin." I sighed,
I shook my head. "-is life, Vera Misham." I stopped. "Recent simulations have

shown, that Apollo would not freak out, Even if another client was poisoned

like that. He almost passed out." I frowned, They were right of course, but I

wouldn't tell her that. Even Klavier noticed this, After that trial, I

remember what he asked me, "You seem out of it, Does it have something to do

with that girl Herr Forehead?" I shook my head, "I'm ok."
Though in my mind I replied. "Yeah." He shrugged "Ok, See you next time."
and walked off. I switched off the TV, Yeah I was in love.....
But She probably would freak out, and say I'm a freak....
I got up, threw on my Hoodie, and went on my way.

Vera's POV

I only went to Drew studio, to see if I could find out about this Aura,
I slipped the paper into the scanner, It said it was blank, I slammed
my fist down on the table, Then I rolled my chair over to the computer,
I searched for "Magic Chains and locks." It came up with, "Magatama"
I clicked the link, I read through the whole article. It allowed the user to

read the person's mind, and see the "Chains" and "Locks" on their hearts.
And you would show evidence, showing What they are hiding.
I understood, Polly was must of had a really important secret for him to have

that many locks. I sighed, Now that I know what it is, What do I do?
I then decided to color it in, My own purple Magatama. I then put on my

jacket, and went out the door.

Apollo's POV

I was lost. I looked around me, Rain pouring down, I saw......
A Strawberry?!?!?!? But that was the only cover I could see. So I dashed
over and lept into it. I just barely managed to squeeze in, It was quiet.
There I could think, I flipped off my hood. This rain wasn't going to let up

anytime soon. I jumped at the sound of another thunder clap. I sighed,
This is stupid. I'm stuck in a strawberry, No contact, and I was just about

to buy Vera some flowers. Maybe even some candy if I had any money left, But

it closed Just as I got there. So I ended up trying to get home, I admit it,
I was lost. What do you expect? I don't have a GPS or a map. I sighed,
I would have to stay here for a tonight.

Vera's POV

It was late, and it was pouring, I rushed into the park, Climbed into the
strawberry and gasped at what I saw, Apollo was sleeping there, He was

clutching a card. I pulled it out of his hand. It read, "Dear Vera.
You have no idea how many times I've tried to say this, I love you,
If it wasn't obvious by the hints I dropped, then read this card all the way
through. Ever since that case..... I knew I loved you, I'm sorry for all that
I have done wrong, Please forgive me....." I smiled, I looked at Polly,
He looked so peaceful, So I put the card in my sketchpad, Put it on the

ground, and cuddled up with Polly. I put his arms around me, I felt them

tighten, I looked up into his smiling face. His chain and locks reappeared,
He was silent, "Polly...." "Hm?" I smiled, "I love you." His face went as red

as his vest, But his locks broke, and the chains dissappeared.
"I-I-I love you too......." I smiled my 20 watt smile, Then I leaned in.
And we Kissed,
