(Note: this is the first time I have ever written a fanfiction. However, I don't want you to baby me like those other first timers want because I respect honest opinion if they do suck.)

Spoiler: Chap. 1
October 7, 2016
I initially remembered this day for two main reasons. One, it was my birthday today (which my mom always said that it should be considered a holiday) & two, my parents were to take my out to see my favorite magic act, the Gramaryes. Ever since I saw their stunts on national TV, I wanted to see them live. Now, today of all days would be my chance. All I had to wait for was...
"Daddy! Hurry up! We'll be late!"
My dad's "caterpillar", as I used to call it, made him talk in a language I described as gibberish. Sometimes, I had to second guess what he was saying before answering. However, I did distinguish two distinct words that can help me at answering his response.
"Dad, your coat and hair will always have paint splatters on them. Let's just go and pick up mommy now."
I knew I have won this little argument when Dad came out with his hair still uncombed and coat still speckled. With 4 mutters I can only assume meant "Are you ready?", I nodded my head and closed the door behind me, ready to see the Gramaryes face-to-face.
I'm sorry if it seems too short for now, but I hope I can promise a worthwhile read.
