This forum is for fanfiction.

Please post only your own work. If it contains spoilers, make sure you label as such in the topic. ONLY Phoenix Wright fanfiction is allowed here.

DO NOT post adult fanfiction here. Post a properly labeled link to it.

If you respond to fic posted here, do so in a KIND and CONSTRUCTIVE manner.

If you would like to submit any of your work to Court Records, please make a note in your post.

If it helps, you can use the guidelines below to label your fic:

Title:
Author:
Rating:
Genre:
Status: (completed or not)
Pairing: (if applicable)
Summary:

Can I ask a probably dumb but genuine question?
What does this mean:

"If you would like to submit any of your work to Court Records, please make a note in your post."

Hmmm.. well if you want to request something or fill out a request there is always this

There's a lot of adult content there but, you can request and it has non-adult stuff as well.

Are we allowed to post topics asking for a beta reader? Or should I just post my fic and mention that I'm looking for / in need of someone to beta?

Author:  General Luigi [ Thu Sep 04, 2008 11:34 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Posting Guidelines

You should post your story. If you need beta readers, please say so there and people will (hopefully) volunteer for the task.

REMINDER: This forum does not allow for you to directly post adult-rated material, especially of a sexual nature. If you're describing genitals or penetration or anything that would be rated NC-17 or above, you'll have to host your fic elsewhere and link to it, being sure to label it as such. That's pretty much the only rule this section has outside of don't steal from other people.

Thank you~

Question!: can a remake of Phoenix wright Fan Fictions can be posted here? I did a remix called Amy Rose Ace Attorney it has the Phoenix wright T & T Plot on it?

Post subject:  Re: Posting Guidelines - do not post adult material here

I'd think that would be fine, so long as it doesn't steal from another fanfic writer. It's a parody.

Stupid question: What kind of rating system should be used and how are the different ratings called? I first thought you were talking about PEGI, but then I noticed that PEGI doesn't have those letters in front of the numbers.

I just looked up this and it contains explanations of the rating system commonly used for Fanfiction.net. I think it has a good rule of thumb. Honestly, I think it's best to put a "rating" but also explain. If there are adult/sexual scenes and gruesome violence in your fanfic (though these should just be links, anyhow) you need to mention that. Other things like strong language and strong sexual innuendo (something stronger than April May's language, I'd say) should be noted, too.

Does that help at all? :edgy:

Yes, that's really informative, but Croik mentioned something like "NC-17" and I have no clue what that means and what kind of rating system that is. I want to properly rate my stuff, so more info on that for a German gal would be nice.

Er...Embarrasing question but... What if the ''erm'' 'hanky-panky' was in it, but the scene takes right after (Smokes, talking whatever) Does that still need to be hosted someplace else? Anything during that time will NOT be explained in detail...

Umm...I have a question. What if my story takes place in two different worlds, but Phoenix and characters are in it but also other characters from another series. Can I post it?

Sorry, I'll see if this helps at all.
NC-17 technically means No Children under 17. Treat it like an M rating (which stands for Mature), if that helps. :payne:

I think the rule of thumb is that if you are actually writing the sexual intercourse taking place, then it must be linked to (ie hosted someplace else). However, if it's the "morning after" as I'll put it, then I don't think you need to link it, but be sure it's rated T for sexual references/innuendo. I think the characters can still talk about it, but anything specific needs to be linked (ie "That was a great time last night, eh?" doesn't need to be linked. Lol, can't believe I wrote that XD). From your question, I'd think you could post it.

You mean AU's? (Alternate Universes) As far as I know, yes, you can post it. As long as it has to do with Phoenix Wright, you can post it here. You can even post OC stories here (of course, as long as it relates to the PW storyline)

That help at all, folks?

Question! I have many fics hosted on Fanfiction.net, can I just post the links to those or should I copy+paste? ('cause linking would be much easier for me.)

Posting links is just fine, it also saves space and means the reader doesn't need to search the whole topic if there are multiple chapters.

Like they do with mine, tee hee.

I think the answer to my question has been implied in some of the responses to this thread, but I want to make 100% sure: Are we allowed to post PW crossovers on here? Like, if it mainly takes place in the PW universe but has a few characters from a different series thrown in, are we still allowed to publish it?

Well, I feel like an idiot for it but I posted A not quite fanfiction topic before I noticed this. So I'll ask now, Is the fanfiction idea thread okay? I figure it'll be useful for the authors, and eventually become a valuable resource.

Please tell me if I need to delete it.

I'm about 95% sure that you can post them since I've seen crossover fics before and no mods have ever posted saying they're not allowed.

Hope this at least makes you feel more confident posting :S

If it's not allowed then I assume a mod will post saying you're not and lock it. If it's allowed you'll just be left alone to post.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Missile :D I kinda had a feeling it was allowed, and I recently found an old crossover thread that wasn't locked or anything. Unfortunately for me, I'm not sure if my crazy little crossover fic will happen in the near future :sadshoe: Darn writer's block... Well, thanks again for your response!
