It has some basic mistakes in it, but it's still quite good one.
At least I like the style how it looks like....

Just more training needed, but so far so good.

All I can really say is to keep up the practice and you're sure to improve in time.
In spriteing* I all ways find it a good idea to 'study' the various sprites from the series you're working with. Have a look at the style they're done in, the sort of shading, etc. Just look for the characteristics that make that sprite really look like it belongs in that game, what makes it - I guess the word is - blend with the others.
For some first work though I'm pretty impressed. Keep it up!
* I've sprited with other games series before with good results.
I've never tried PW as they look a little complex to me, but I plan on trying soon.
