I would've used some sprites at least as a reference so it looks more proffesioanal.
But that's just me.

I referenced a photo of my own hand. The other sprites didn't have the right hand position.

Kristoph's arm bends a very weird way, and seems two-dimensional at certain places.

Oh, btw...how is Flash coming along? *nudge nudge*

The hand actually looks quite good, just try adding shading to the center of the palm. You might also want to thicken up the wrist.

His arm looks strange because of that shadow- it's straight when the arm is bent. His arm is also kind of long in comparison to his hand.

Good job thinking of a unique point. =3

His head and his arms seem kind awkward to me. I think they need more visual depth and better proportions.
But I like the design and the style you gave him. The color theme of his sprites seem to be pretty dark in comparision to AA sprites which have brighter and more intense colors. Is that intentional?

It's not meant to be crazy blinding bright, And comparing it it's actually pretty similar to the games :godot:

And I see what you mean about the flatness. Though he's meant to look a little odd and quirky, so I quite like that the proportions and style don't look exactly right.

Oh me, oh my. Crit time.

First off, Cigami. He's alright, yeah. Maybe you could do more to differentiate his face from Apollo's, perhaps different eyes or something? It's kind of jarring if your prosecutor looks fairly similar to the defense attorney he's facing off against. His neck in the looking-at-the-wand sprites looks very off, almost like a snake. Try and fix this by repositioning the head, or changing the neckshape.

Scarr Brothers are good, but I think that you should edit the eyes on the side glaring sprites so that they look more visible.

One massive problem I see in your work that bothers me is eyebrows. On a lot of your sprites, the eyebrows are somewhat dodgy. Particularly the Apollo sprites. It seems like your trying to create extra poses out of a single sprite, but I think that doing custom expressions instead of pixel editing would be far more rewarding.

Your free drawn sprites aren't fantastic either, but that's down to a matter of art ability. Try and work on this. Look at PW style sprites and look at how the faces are drawn and shaded. Look at the anatomy, go for several lines and make the shirts and clothing look more natural instead of ballooning around the wearer. You should try working on your anatomy and proportions to make them look more realistic. These free drawn sprites are not as good as they could be, and they could look FAR better if you apply yourself.

Your Kristoph sprites are pretty good, definately one of the better ones I've seen on the site. But the eye on the zoom in sprite looks kind of unnatural. Maybe it should be bigger and slightly clearer, with the frames more apparent?

The Phoenix sprites are rather similar to Tajiri Ami's, but it's pretty much the base for all forward Nick sprites nowadays. Perhaps you might go for a different base just to make things a bit different? Not a massive suggestion, but the sprites are nice enough. The court aide Phoenix sprites are fine but they need better shading on the forehead instead of a big blob of colour.

The adult Maya sprites are good enough, if not lacking in a bit of shading. But the court aide sprites need quite a bit of work. Ema's head on the second line of sprites looks FAR too out of proportion to her body.

Older Edgeworth and Larry are fine. GK sprite of Phoenix is fantastic.

The 'revamp' of Nick's sprites is kind of unneccessary, IMO. And you appear to have cut corners by not attempting to replicate his hand in the extended sprites. :P

The GS5 Phoenix looks fine, but the face looks odd. Try and switch it up by using some of his older court sprites and his GS4 skin tones or something.

I think you have potential but you don't appear to have the drive. Some of your sprites appear rushed and crooked, some a bit sloppy. You should give yourself the opportunity to clean them up and make them shine. That's what'll set you apart from the rest of the sprites out here.

I hope this is of some form of help to you.

Nah, I don't have any problems with it. I do the same thing to Phoenix Wrongers, actually. I totally endorse the whole constructive criticism thing.

I'm happy to have critisism, how else am I going to improve? :godot:

I'm glad to see that a lot of the sprites with more major criticism are pretty old and are probably going to be redone XD.

I don't mind that Cigami looks particularly like Apollo, but it may be changed, along with the dodgy neck which certainly will be.

The Scarrs are very out of date (I made them a while ago) and are being remade at the moment :will:

The Apollo and Phoenix sprites have actually been updated a little since I posted them long ago, they look much better now.

I know my free drawn sprites aren't so good at the moment, but I feel I am improving by a huge amount be each one I do :keiko:

I'm pretty proud of Kristoph. This is the third version of him, as it is with Cigami. I'll have a look that the eyes.

I'm planning on extending GK phoenix when there are more resources, as well as making big GK sprites. I'm glad you like him :godot:

Adult Maya was a very early sprite, I'm remaking it at the moment.

GS5 Phoenix was partially an experiment, though I'll think about making it better at some point.

I hope to improve as much as I can, and I'm glad you shared your criticism so I can do so :garyuu:

I think it's because the head is a tad too small, but it's otherwise fun. Otherwise, it's wonderful. ^_^

Hey, you made my favorite Ace Attourney character from the head of my favorite TWEWY character. XD

The back of his head is too small; he needs more brain room. Compare your head to the one you edited it from and the ear is right on the edge of the head, which is odd.
Great job with the hair. Kariya's hair is fearful.

As Percei had pointed out to me, Kristoph's suit has 4 buttons, not six. The loops from Sho's shoulders look out of place on a suit, as does that bit of piping. Without those details, though, I wouldn't have noticed the Sho base. Good idea!

His arms concern me. If both are bent, what is he doing with them, and why are no hands visible? In his defense aide pose, I always assumed he was grasping the other arm.
His legs are odd, but in-game most of the legs are cut off anyway.

I quite like the sprite, and am only giving you CC because you said you liked it. n_n

I'm not sure Grossberg is the best character to TWEWYise, considering that most TWEWY characters are the size of bendy-straws.
