It was done as a joke, I don't really think Maya would look like that if she was older XD
Yeah, it took me a long time to figure out how to do the hair. It was seriously a PIXEL BY PIXEL process, which is very time consuming... And yeah she does look kinda young (She's supposed to be 19, BTW). I think the face is what does it...

Yes, but I haven't figured out if I want to use AA's backgrounds or make my own. I've tried drawing backgrounds, but they always come out looking really off so I'm going to recruit some people to help me make backgrounds for the game (To make it look better and yet still fit my art style. I might try it again to see if it would work and what people think.)

I like the style you did for your fangame, it looks simple, but looks like there was time and effort put into it. It also looks rather cartoon-y. I dunno if that was intentional, but it's still pretty good.

I wouldn't brush your sprites at all, because problems with them can arise and they look less like PW like sprites, especially if you were to animate them.
A lot of your sprites are in need of shading, because they look very 'flat' without any type of shading. Basically they just look like a drawing. With your rose thinking sprite the elbow it was to fat or just non existent. It needs shape to it. The hair doesn't need too much attention since it's over done. ;3 Though you're on your way applying some of these tips though.

I don't shade my sprites because I honestly do not know how to shade at all. Every time I shade I either over do it or don't do something right, so I never shade because I hate how it turns out. But thanks for the tips though :)
I'm not one of the 'serious' spriters here; I only do these out of boredom and fun.

I figured Alita would do anything to hide her identity to avoid getting caught by the cops (If she broke out of jail).
Oh, I just animated Pearl. I just used someone else's sprite sheet and animated it. But yes, I'm glad that they didn't make a Plucy either. She almost looks like Iris here :)
