Today, I was informed that I have been accepted in bother the practical, as well as the theoretical Japanese course and can thus start my Japanology studies normaly now, starting next week! Let's celebrate this with two new poses for previously designed sprites:
First, I made a thinking Lilie Heatherd:
The only other of Regina Berry's animations that fits her. I slightly altered the pattern of her blinking, so it looks a little more... eh... "pondering".
There are still pixels that I have to erase. It's hard to find the spots in question, since they appear semi-transparent in my graphic program. Combined with the bright colors, this makes them easy to miss.
And, now, something based on a quote from chapter 14 of my fanfic (which I will upload here tomorrow):

I also put more contrast on her head this time, in order to make her hair and face look less gray. I might change the basis Misty Fey sprite to have a simmilar color sheme to this later as well.

Diva Maya doing the Sailor Moon Pose!
Dunno, I just needed Maya to pose. Just... pose. So I looked up a picture of Sailor Moon doing her treadmark pose and... this is the result.
The hand is a little crippled and the arm is too thin, but I think it's nice for such a heavily altered pose... Maybe I'll one day be able to make poses from scratch.

As if Maya wasn't cute enough already, a wink-and-pose in an idol getup is just...just... "MA~YO-CHAN, SUKI-DA-YO!" <3That really is impressive for, as you said, such a heavily altered pose. You've even cleaned up those loose white pixels so nicely since posting it in the fic. I think it looks quite official. ^^
...It's also pretty amusing, by the way, to imagine the Pink Princess striking that pose as she stands victorious over the Evil Magistrate or something.

Yeah, the white pixels were the main reason I didn't put it into this thread right away. I decided to wait until I cleaned them up. ^^
I'm so glad you like it. That gives me the feeling that I did something right.
I always kinda imagined the Pink Princess as a Magical Girl, so I guess that's why I choose a Sailor Moon Pose for Maya, who's a Samurai-franchise die-hard fan. XD
I should really draw Pink Princess fanart sometime. XD
Oh, and because I felt like it, I made those:

I edited Kay, in order to archive a Maya, how she could have appeared in AAI, had Capcom been so generous as to integrate her...

Spriting is just waaaaay too much fun, so, here yet another one:
AAI Maya, Dialouge-size:
Hm... could it be that I'm making WAAAAY too many Mayas?
This one was huge fun to make. I just took Kay
and played around with all my tools, until I had Maya. Their facial features were simmilar enough for this to work well, I just had to adjust the chin a little (mostly because it was obscured by Kay's Scarf).
I was listening to the "Rozen Maiden" ending and opening the whole time... Now I feel like making Sprites of Shinku. XD But I probably won't. Her baroque-dress would be a pain to draw.
Hm... but Maya would make a cute Rozen Maiden as well, wouldn't she? XP Or maybe Pearl.
Speaking of Pearl, I might make such a Sprite of her as well. I mean, there are enough young Kay Sprites which I could use as a base.
Probably not Phoenix though. I suck at drawing his hair and male anatomy in general. If I tried to edit some of Edgeworth's Sprites to get him, it would end up in a disaster for sure.

Anyway, here's something that could just be my most difficult Sprite edit yet:
AAI Pearly!
Once again, I used Kay (young version) as a base... Although "base" might be a little bit stretching it in this case. I kept virtually NOTHING. I had to change the shape of the face, the eye-placement, the mouth (why does young Kay have such a braindead smile?
), the hair (of course 
) and even the whole body. (Yes, Kay's pose was so un-pearl-ish, that I had no choice but redraw it from scratch.) Compare the Sprites. I pretty much only kept the neck and fractions of the face. That's not much, my friends.
And still she ended up looking too old. Pearl is extremly Chibi... Kay's proportions are more realistic. This was doomed to not work from the very beginning. -.-;
Her pretzel almost KILLED me. I had to redraw it about 10 times, until it finally looked the way I wanted it to.
In the end, I'm still happy with how it turned out. It just bugs me that she looks more like a Pearl-Cosplayer than the actual Pearl.

Let's see: in-game Pearl is supposed to be 8/9, but looks more like 6.
I think your Pearl looks like a very believable 10/11-or-so-year-old version of her -- or maybe, more accurately, a 12/13-year-old version of her, considering that Pearl is so chibi-ishly behind a few years in development...
Anyway, I'm terrible at estimating ages, and I really don't care how old she is; I just know she's adorable.
And I love how you changed so much from the base -- she hardly even looks like a Kay edit, which is a great thing! She definitely looks like her own character.

Just one thing I can say to the GK styled sprites the need a bit more
...overall they look gorgeous the poses and proportions but the faces and skin tones are still to "kayish" maybe you can fix that if you have time and spirit 
But I can say you are one of the most talented spriters around here I really admire your great works

Finally, a little "Preview" of a sort for my Fanfiction:
I'm not gonna say who he is yet, but he's the second of the two OCs in the story, the first being Lilie.
I intentionally designed him to look plain and uninteressting. Also somewhat gullible.
The base for this one was Machi Tobaye, but I used Ema's eye, since Machi's eyes were too... striking.
Also: Wow, my first Non-retarded looking male! Maybe I can finally finish that young Apollo Sprite I've been working on...

Well, Young Kay is ten, so that would make my Pearl Sprite about 1-2 years too old. ^^;
Also, you're right. That girl doesn't really look her age (or her mental age, for the matter).

For DarkCoffeeDrinker's fangame. I tried to stick rather close to what I actually look like. The only thing that's somewhat different is the fact, that my hair's color is actually pretty much on the limit between black and brown. I made it more obviously brown, so I don't look too much like Maya.
I actually own all of that stuff on that sprite and use/wear them on regular basis. The rose and the headphones are basically my treadmarks and I wear them daily. (It used to be a ribbon and earbuds, but i switched.) Oh, that hairstyle too. That dress is one of my favorites, mostly because it excellently hides my unwanted kilos...
That thing on my wrist is an ticket-ribbon from a convention last year (I like the design, so I'm not gonna take it off) and that pink case contains my laptop, my sketchpad and my japanese dictonary.
The base was, obviously, Maya. She's just the AA character who looks the most like me, hair, age, statur and all... I tried to change the face shape a bit, too make it less like her, though.
This took me three hours... I didn't think the dress would make this such a pain to draw. X-X Uhh... but there's no backing off now, I guess. I'll have to do at least 4 poses more! And bench sprites, of course...

Since I never saw Chun Li anywhere before, I used this pic as a reference. I hope it's like you wanted it to look like. ^^

Apropos Maggey, something cheap and simple for my fanfic:
This took me barely 10 minutes, because my Grafic Programm has a convenient "Color Change" feature, which makes Recolours the easiest thing in the world. I just took the... whatever that thing on a Maid's head is called from Maya and gave it to Maggey.
