The only things I can comment on might just be because she's unfinished, but...
-the long part of her hair doesn't really match the top. It's darker and blurrier. (but so pretty @_@)
-The bottom half of her face seems kinda shiny. I'd switch out that highlight color for a slightly darker one.
She's looking great though!

Glace Leau, thanks for the helpful crit! I'll try flattening out Pearly's hair and lightening it up a bit so it. And the shininess of her face I can totally see where you're coming from. I used a really light shade of a peachy flesh tone, but it's a bit close to true colour white. Also, I was surprised to see lots of older Pearls using Dahlia/Iris, Maya, Ema, and Trucy. And Pearls is cute already, so I just aged her more to be a teen. (btw, your sprites are fantastic)
I'm glad you guys like her, tho!

I know what you mean (laugh). I think I might gone in with a finer line and not use, well, black. I do agree the black outline is too dark. And inconsistent. Thanks for the crit! I'll fix it as soon as I can.

SupwithyouSammie, thanks (again)! Yeah, I really wanted to keep the Maya we know and love in the older sprite. And the flowy hair would add to the whole "Welcome to Kurain" kinda feeling. I always imagined the place to be rustic with some type of spring breeze. :D

I did some more to Pearly, and saved it with a transparent background. I have to clean up some of the white, but was wondering how you guys save the sprites with transparencies? Without the crazy pixelation on the edges, of course.
I'll be working on the return of old villains next. Starting with a GS4ish Matt Engarde.

Otherwise though, it's pretty much perfect. Definitely some of the best older Pearl/Maya sprites.
And I don't do much spriting at all, but I generally save anything with transparency as a PNG file, unless it'd be too large. High-quality JPEGs can do pretty much the same while taking up less space, though.

You just have to clean the edges and make sure that your pixels are opaque.
Then use a dark color for the outline or something.
But make sure it still blends

I'll be sure to try it out. And, yes, saving as a .png is so much better than when I save it as .jpeg or .gif... Hopefully Engarde's sprite transparency works out better when I upload it to photobucket. :) Thanks, again!

That could actually be quite true... his breakdown still makes me cackle a little. I never imagined he would chop off his hand, but maybe burn off his fingerprints... he's still the calculative a-hole we know and love. But, if he did chop off his hand, he could probably get a prosthetic one to replace it. That could be a very cool idea to go off from!
I've actually worked on a new expression for GS4!Pearly.
I love that girlie, she's so cute. The expression is, well, shock? She isn't done yet... Gotta add some more to her hair. I need to work on finishing at least one sprite these days.
Edit: Working on spriting an in-court Kristoph for ProsecutorX's fangame. There's some other cool in-court sprites of Kristoph on the forum than mine (Jibber's and Glace's are quite awesome), you should check those out!
