You can either link to a picture in your user control panel, or use one from the gallery.
But since it looks like you want Eldoon(?) you could ask a user here who takes avatar requests, like blinq. (only one I can think of off the top of my head) She made my avatar...
I'm a bit newb too, but I know this much and hope I helped.
