Only one foot on the welcome mat and I'm already posting sprites?! Absurd! Asbrud! Brusad! Drbsua!

I originally started spriting around '05 or so, but I haven't sprited since around this time last year, but I guess that doesn't give me an excuse. And before you guys think I'm stroking my ego, I'm "experienced" in spriting, not "talented". There's a difference i think :yuusaku:

Anyways, before jumping right into complete edits and all of that, I started of easy with something I've wanted to see for a while.

Ever notice how some characters have rather annoying arm-positioning? Ever wanted to use a certain GS character for a base but you want them in a more "casual" pose? Well, that's what I'm going for here.

Spoiler: Come on you guys, be more casual!
Image
You guys are so uptight! Let your arms loosen by your sides! You guys are criminals, after all!
This was actually rather simple, except for Stickler. That stupid book never left his stupid hand which made it harder to edit.

Image
I also did one for Nick. I like it, but his actual pose seems more Phoenix-ish.

Image
Manfred was rather easy. I added his taser/tazer/laser/thing pose too. Franziska was a lot more complicated than I thought, especially her prosecution style. Lotta was also annoying to do, and I still think they're off.
Maggey also has some pretty good Maggey Byrde sprites, so go check out hers if mine are not satisfactory.

Image

These two were a handful. I had to "surgically reconstruct" Grey's chin, and Jean's arms were very hard to recreate. I had to splice arm positions from Sal Manella and Acro because they were the only ones with beefy uncovered arms. I still have a couple of nit-picky parts to deal with on Jean.

Spoiler: Turney Grey, Farce attorney!
Image
Whoop whoop!

Spoiler: Co-counsel sprites
Turner Grey
Image
Of course I made co-counsel Turner Grey sprites. I swear, I'm obsessed with this dude. Actually, these were a request (who knows why they'd want these!)

All of my works, no matter how silly or terrible or smelly(?), are free to use by anyone without permission. Just don't say its your own, that's kind of mean.

I don't know if there's any difference between the two, but your sprites are really good. :D And is it okay if I use your casual sprite as a base?

Why thank you! I would be honored if you use it as a base. I think I'll just go ahead and make all of my current and future sprites free for the public to use. Why not?

well good, but that's not that annoying (have you ever seen Jean & Dr. Grey) lol. I'd like to see more of your work.

Yes, true. I'm just starting off with the easier ones to pull off. I'll be doing the more difficult ones (Mia, Grey, Plum) later on.

Thank you for the input. I'm glad to see my work is likable.

Got some more done! It's in the main post as well, but I'll put it here too.

Spoiler: Maggey, von Karma(s), Lotta
Image
Maggey was rather easy. I just used her saluting poses and spliced it up. Manfred was rather easy, too. I added his taser/tazer/laser/thing pose too. Franziska was a lot more complicated than I though, especially her prosecution style. Lotta was also annoying to do, and I still think they're off.

Thanks, I thought they were okay myself, but I wasn't sure. I'm rather critical of my work sometimes.

Spoiler: Jean Armstrong and Turner Grey

True, these are rather easy. I'd like to hear what you have to say. What do you have in mind for something tougher?

I have to agree with Zinle here...not bad but these are simple edits so...yea :yogi:

I see what you mean by simple, I really just wanted to give myself a refresher rather than diving right into something difficult and having it be laughable.

I'll see what I can do.

that's good to hear...Ive seen far too many people try and work on something far above there skill level so do take things at your own pace but challenge yourself a bit and I think you'll do just fine :godot:

Post subject:  Re: Ace Fresca's «Pixel Soirée»

Alright, so I tried a little something.

It started out as changing Phoenix's suit a little.
Then it turned into having him wear Grey's suit.
Then it turned into.. well, Grey.

Image
I was really scared about the hair, but it seems to be fine.

Why thank you! And, actually, I think I could actually make something out of making a full sheet of Mr. Grey. As in, what would it look like if a defense attorney had a breakdown?

Spoiler: GS4 spoilers ):
Not as in Kristoph, I mean as if the actual defense attorney of the case was the killer and had the breakdown. He was just a killer who happened to be an attorney, but not really as in he killed Zak because he was an attorney and- well, you get the point.

I did a couple more poses for Mr. Grey, Farce Attorney.
Spoiler:
Image One reading pose, and two poses from his actual sheet. I need to actually do the glasses-falling-down though. :payne:

good work! :grey:
but the "button ups" or whatever it's called, change side when objecting.

Good observation! That was just me being lazy. I'll fix it later, along with all the other nit-picks I still need to fix. :sadshoe:

Post subject:  Re: Ace Fresca's «Pixel Soirée»

Oh my, an update! Gee, I must really have nothing else to do!

... :sadshoe:

Spoiler: MORE MALPRACTICE
Image
Fixed the little "whoopsie" about the button-up, and a couple more "sweat" sprites. I'll probably make a breakdown sprite, since Mr. Grey is pretty insane and would probably breakdown if he was losing a case.

Grey attorney sprites are incredible! Excellent work. You should do some animated expressions of grey. I think you'd be able to pull it off. Just a suggestion.

I'd prefer not to delve into animation, seeing all the problems that some people have with. I can't shrug off the feeling I'd be one of them.

I could, however make each individual sprite for an animation. That would give me something to do.

Thanks for your input! It was kind of getting lonely in this topic.

I will put mine down if you want.

Yup. Just keep it up too.
I mean...Lot of people have made samekinda works in the past too.
If someone would start deleting their work 'cause of that, that would lead others copying that too.
Why? Because humans creatures are all idiots. That's reason enough. :)

And if this would happen,
we'd propably lose near 50% of the works we have here allready.

Oh so true.
I don't know why, but the words "Godot moment" come to mind when I read this.

I only have a minor update. I'm kind of losing faith in Grey (although who ever had faith in him?)
Spoiler:
Image
I never realized how much Kristoph Gavin and Turney Grey are alike, until I put their sheets side by side. If Grey had more chance to develop, he'd probably have similar poses.

... That does kinda make sense. He wears glasses, check. He's insane, check. And he wears a suit, check. Maybe Grey's the secret third Gavin brother? Just without the drill hair, for that matter.

Aha, I could see him as the third Gavin brother.

I went ahead and made a mock illustration of what would happen if Grey and Kristoph ever met.
Spoiler: THE ADVENTURES OF GAVIN AND TURNER

I also, of course, have an actual update! These were made for a request. I'm quite proud of them.
Spoiler: Turner Grey, Co-council ordinaire!

Yes, ordinaire. He doesn't really deserve the "Extra" part. ):

Not halfbad, pal! The anatomy on Grey's face is off at times (compare with the actual co-counsil/attorney sprites), but besides that, they look funny and welldone. Keep going, I like them so far :)

I re-organized my Turner Grey sheet and added a couple more poses. Try to find them; it's like a silly scavenger hunt!
er, maybe not. to be honest all scavenger hunts are silly :yuusaku:
