Question? A lot of your sprites don't seem to be....anything original. They just look like the standard animations. Like the endless guitar solo...it's nothing really new or is there something I'm missing? |

I'd say that unoriginal stuff is fine for practicing spriting skills and just having fun. Clean edits are already something people need to get done well before going to making their own stuff. It's at least how I pursued drawing when I decided I really want to improve with it; I studied basic stuff and practiced it before trying to execute the basic stuff with my own ideas and concepts. |

One of the reasons I was using stock poses was so I can learn how to animate sprites effectively. The things I learned definitely came in handy for my "boot to the head" sprite. But the main reason I did the animations I have done was because Court Records didn't have their gifs and animations the way I wanted them. If you look, you'll see that pretty much all of my animations are unique to court records. They may use the same poses, but I mix them together and loop them differently, so I have the animations that I want, the way I want them. You also may have noticed, but I'm not posting those kinds of stock animations anymore. I do sometimes still make them, but I no longer deem it necessary to post them here. I'm saving posting for more original works now. |

I've actually gone on a spriting hiatus, but I totally forgot to change my page to reflect that. >__< I have been "active" but that activity pretty much boils down to lurking in a few choice threads every few days.  I haven't tried making any evidence pieces, but I think I'll give it a try anywhoo. I don't know if it'll be any good though. I'll shoot you a PM when I'm "finished". |
