Oh, also. A thanks goes out there to Ceres. It were his spirtes that inspired me to start spriting.

When he blinks, his eyelids don't close, they sort of get sucked into the middle and I just grossed out when I saw it.

about the eyes, You just need three eye animations.

courtroom scenes, there really isn't a shadow

made him look rather thin

It doesn't look much like an AA sprite

Young Badd!

For this sprite, making the face look Baddish without his stache was a challenge but I think I managed to pull it off pretty well.

Actually I had this sprite done a few days ago. But back then it was just a lazy re-color of my other Badd sprite and minus the bullet holes from the trenchcoat. So i decided to give him a new pose as well.

Apart from the head, I had to make everything from scratch.

You did just as good as Ceres. Maybe even better. 2 thumbs up! :godot:

When doing an AA character always; and I mean it; try to not use more than...hmm...Well I was going to say 40, since most AJ characters have something like that, but let's put it: NO more than 70, OK.
It takes some time to practice with limited colors, but believe me it's worth it.

Nice start, although... When he blinks, his eyelids don't close, they sort of get sucked into the middle and I just grossed out when I saw it. His eyes are staring at me... I'm not an expert at spriting, but it looks more like a GK sprite than a sprite that can be used in the courtroom. If I'm wrong, I'm so terribly sorry and ashamed. That's good... but idk, he looks really thin... and the blinking animation is okay. And usually in courtroom scenes, there really isn't a shadow, I think that's being cast behind the person...

Well now, fantastic start Arvron. The sprite looks pretty anatomically correct and is definantly well constructed, there's two things: 1) It's not exactly in the AA style and that may not be what you're going for so I'm not going to call you out on it too much, but if it is, try being less heavy on the brushes in PS/Gimp/whatever it is you use, work more on a pixel by pixel basis. Focus on the style the game has by looking at the simple antialiasing. 2) When you shrunk him, it came out odd and made him look rather thin, but otherwise that's just me being nitpicky. I see you've got a lot of potential here, and that's quite often hard to find nowadays, but fantastic work so far :)

That's really good! It doesn't look much like an AA sprite, that'd be the only thing, though. And I love the way you have the skulls in the title, I'll be robbing them for the next thread I make. =P XD

Thanks for that, I was unsure when making the animation about how many frames it needed. After going back and removing the unessecary frames I got this. Upon looking at it, it does look more like a pose used in GK. I think I need to make it a less front on angle to correct that.

You definantly have style and construction down but shading seems to be your Achilles' Heel, It seems very blocky and off colored, I'd elaborate more but it's rather late and this is just a passing statement.

Yeah, the lines didn't look at think when I was saving it but I think I fixed that. Anyway, as I don't really like posting new sprites one at a time here's a batch of them. Phew. This one was a challenge. Apart from the head, I had to make everything from scratch. So here's my version of front on Tyrell Badd. For this sprite I chose to adopt the AAI style of shading, Ergo. A more fluid transition from one shade to another. For that's how the Badd sprite looked and without it i'd imagine it would look pretty... not as good. (Avoiding obvious pun.)

I have a request if you have time. Could you make a Diego Armando at the defense bench? I know it's been done 1000 times before but, I want to find the best one. So far, the best one in my opinion is in Ceres's sprite thread. But your thread here is amazing to say the least. So I want to see if you could make one equally as awesome or even better. Good luck because Ceres is really good at making sprites. If you can, thanks!
