Hello, everyone! First of all, Croik, I'd like to say thank you for putting up such an amazing site :edgy:
Anyway, I tried my hand at spriting, and this is what I came up with:
Image
This is Josh Cadaverini, of course, and he is a prosecutor.
Body is hobo-Phoenix's, Head and hair is Apollo.
His hair still needs a little work, and I might recolour his hoodie.
So ya, Constructive Critisism plz :will:
Also if somebody could help me or give me tips on animating gifs, it would be greatly appreciated!!

~Updates!
~Thicker highlights in hair

Very good sprite for a first try (or even full stop), but I'd say maybe make his body a bit less wide, as his head is too small for his body.

Aww, Yay for your first sprite! :will:
My only suggestion would be maybe lighten the colour of the scar where it overlaps the highlights on his cheek so it looks more like a part of the face, instead of on top of it
Good luck in the future :keiko:

Yea, he's right. It's actually a great edit, but the head is too small for the body. This mainly because the head came from lawyer's bench while the body was face-forward normal sprite. Sprites from an attorney's bench generally aren't good to mix with normal sprites due to the difference in size would make have you editing to resize it to make them seem like they match together. I hope this helps with future edits if not this one. :yogi:

Ya, I've made the body a bit thinner, but imageshack is being annoying it won't upload, so I'll keep making edits until it works. :will:

Thanks for all the comments :butzthumbs:

I like your OC, but that should be a Casual wearing sprite, , im pointing at this beucase if he is gonna be a prosecutor, you might need a Formal Suit for him, he is actualli a Hobo-body so, it would fit a Godot Base . Hope i helped a bit , good luck, and good sprites , keep up the good job. :hobohodo:

im gonna be honest...its not that good...don't get me wrong its your first so its not bad but right now the hair is blocky, so is the scar, the head is too small for the body and the neck seems off...that all that was really edited on the sprite in the first place.

so first off my usual beginner advice...you dont have to but its a recommended starting place...start with pw sprites over aj
( aj sprites are bigger and more detailed making it harder to edit )

as for the sprite itself i recommend going and looking at other sprites to see how they blend colors and where each pixel is placed to figure out how to do it...hair is always one of the biggest challenges on a sprite

and finally if you wand a body with a certain head always be ready to edit a bit since usually the proportions wont mach

continue to work at it im sure youll get better :godot:
