Used screenshot of the game to make it but I had to make the talking sprites myself.
I'm liking how it's turned out so far.

First sprite can take much-much time. 5 hours are nothing! Nick looks good. Nice sprites!
I think it'll be better if you make the lines more clear. :D
Also: If you want to find bases for animations, you have to look for videos that feature case 2, 3, 4... which give you great spoilers.

It's hard to find any videos related to GS5 on Youtube since Bolt's video got removed and nobody wants to put up any spoilers until English release.
I'll try looking around for some references since I don't mind spoilers too much. So far I've used the trailers and Google.

Looks really good! The shape and the figure and the whole look of him looks great! But just a few things bother me.
The blinking animation has Phoenix closing his eyes up. When I started spriting, I made the same mistake. The eyelids should be closing down with barely a twidge of the lower eyelids.
The outline looks a bit...off and at times, non-existant. On Phoenix's left lapel (where his badge is), his suit blends with the...lapel, is that what it's called? I think you need stronger defined outlines.
Also, the mouth looks a bit weird. Aside from the off-putting look of the shape of the mouth (when talking) let's address how sprites usually talk. It appears you're following this format: :), :|), :D. But you should actually be following more like, :), :D, :o. It's difficult to explain, perhaps one more talented might give that a shot. Also, it appears that his chin isn't moving? It should.
Other than that, they look great! Good work!

The talking animations did bother me quite a bit since they looked really pixelated.
The tip for the mouth is great and I might re-attempt the talking animation once I've gathered more resources.
I've re-outlined Phoenix with darker lines and updated the sheet above in the first post.

Talking sprites added and I've tested the sprites out with an online GIF maker.
Decided I'd try the talking sprites again since it would be good for experience.
It looks a bit pixelated but it works fine as a whole.
