NEW 7/25/08

I was bored last night... And I think I need to darken the shading on his jacket.

Gregory Edgeworth. It's in court records, but I added more to them. I'm rather proud of how they turned out, though... Greg seems a little slimmer than is healthy to me... Here's the link. Sprite sheet has been updated.

I don't know when I'll add to it though. :lana: Probably never?

Some additional emotions for Lisa Basil. It was for a video I'll probably never finish either. She's my favorite character that you talk to but never appears in court. I just like robots or anything close to it.
Image Image Image

To make this more compact:
Spoiler: fancharacters
Sunny DeLight (Amasugi Panya)-daughter of Ron and Desiree DeLight. They're a cute couple! Mareka is quite pretty and Yuusaku is... also... quite... pretty? O_o? I just had fun imagining what their daughter would look like...

Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Image Image
Image Image

here's her sheet
Personality: Panya is a spunky little girl and almost a big of a Kamen mask fan as her dear father. She wants to be a phantom thief when she grows up and is always trying to steal from people, much to Greg II's chagrin. However, her attempts are always foiled by her "phantom thief honor code" (she basically yells at the top of her lungs "I'M GOING TO STEAL FROM YOU NOW! DO YOU MIND?!"). In spite of this, she can be sneaky and manipulative when she wants to (*points to the puppy dog faced sprite*). She's also very athletic, so it's hard to catch her once she starts running. She has a tendency of picking up weird trinkets she finds, often resulting in her unwittingly stealing evidence from a crime scene. Regardless, she really is a good kid and truly apologetic when she finds out she's done something wrong that is not phantom thief related (and she has not succeeded in stealing from a living person yet).
Additional quirk: She rarely every calls anyone by their real name. She gives nicknames to everyone, which coincidentally are their original japanese names. (For example, Phoenix becomes "Mr. Naruhodou", Edgeworth becomes "Mr. Mitsurugi" and Greg II is "Shin" to her.)

Gregory Edgeworth the Second - Son of Miles Edgeworth, named after his deceased grandpa.
Image Image
Gregory is a quiet, well-mannered boy who really likes reading court records. A lot. Likes them even more than the novels that other kids his age reads. He and Panya go to the same school and are good friends. Being the more mature of the two, Gregory is often trying to talk Panya out of her hairbrained attempts at phantom thievery... but will cover for her every time things go awry (since no harm was done except for eardrums). Because of his upper class upbringing (Hey, Edgeworth MUST be rich! With his clothes... and frills... and tea collection), Greg can be a borderline snob sometimes, and doesn't like to participate in any activity that might ruin his clothes (his daddy gave him that cravat after all!). When he gets too annoying though, Panya would always put him back in his place. He aspires to become a detective in the future, must like Uncle Dick (only without the instant noodles) and can fit more things in his school bag than conceivably possible.
(Knowing me, I'll probably never add to this.)

Gregory II's mommy! Aurora Borealis (*PLANK'D!*) Marries Edgeworth later and her last name changes. (*SHOT!*) Boy, those asterisks are getting increasingly hostile lately...
Image
Her personality summary is in my fanart section, in the description under her image. But I definitely won't add to this.

Calando Cadaverini (I'll finish him one of these days)
Image Image
He's the kind of guy who smiles when angry... Reminds me of a certain GS4 character that I won't mention because that'd be spoilery, so you people shouldn't mention it either. (Hair feels a bit off... what do you people think?)
Image Image Image (and a rock and roll headbang version just because... It's too fast though... Timing was always my weak point.)
He's about to use that something he was hiding behind his back! Now what would a Mafia heir have ready at all times I wonder. 99.8% of it is made from scratch. The shape of the head in the first frame was Max Galactica's.
He's the son of Viola Cadaverini (no clue who the dad is, but I doubt it's Tigre). He gives off that same sort of creepy vibe as his mother, but is something of a playboy. He'll hit on any female that is good looking. Even if she's taken. ESPECIALLY if she's taken. Unfortunately for him, his idea of hitting on girls is obliquely voicing his wish that their boyfriends would die. Not directly by him of course, but from some unforeseeable tragedy like a car accident... or cancer... or cyanide in his drink...

Various sprites of done for other people. My own chronic laziness has prevented me from doing the rest of the requests and don't look forward to any more at this time. Sorry about that.

My only real suggestion is to maybe fix his glasses in his one-hand desk slap pose and the objection point one. It looks odd for him to have his glasses slipped down that far without him being shocked. It invokes Turner Grey for me too much. Sal

And if it obscures the eyes too much...well, why not go for the opaque glasses effect? Like how all good glasses-wearing anime characters have when they're either being serious, or put on the spot? Will Powers

I second that, Look at animes such as Hellsing for reference if your not clear on the style you want to envoke, remeber the objection pose is vital for TURNABOUT COURT Marshall

Wow, that's actually pretty nice. I love the little details like the glasses going askew when he's surprised.

He looks a bit downs-y in the first frontal sprite though. It might be just the glasses, I dunno.

1. Because the 3/4th view ones don't look the same. The in-game frontal sprites look older, so I felt I had to make it match...

2. I suppose I could have cut out the hair, but I was a little worried that, again, it didn't match the hair in the 3/4th view ones... When I first made the 3/4th view ones, I tried to make them match, but I couldn't manage it.

Post subject:  Re: Android 21 3/7's sprite

Another suggestion I have is for his point, maybe try to use the head from Edgeworth's point on the stand, rather than from his desk slap animation.

The more I see the slam and point animation, the more I realize that the head feels a bit awkward, staying in place like that despite the total change in body posture. While the difference between the head in his desk slam, and the one in his witness stand point is minor save size, it might work a bit better to make it look a little less awkward. Just a suggestion to try out (especially since the larger head size might make it too difficult anyways).

I thought about it, but I'm rather hesitant. I used Miles Edgeworth's sprites, and while they are father and son, I don't want them to mimic each other so much, so I've been trying to find ways to make variations.

I see where you're getting at, but since you're using Miles as the base anyways, especially for the head, it could make for a better fit for the pose than the same head used in the deskslap pose.

Yaaaay! I made something new! And cute! And (hopefully) irresistable!

Now that almost all of my school projects are done, it's back to Gregory Edgeworth for me... I'm going to list all your suggestions here. Please tell me if I've forgotten any or if you want to add to it...
1. Fix the glasses on some of them because he looks too much like Dr. Grey
2. Fix the hair. Try using Wellington or Bell Boy or Joe Darke (though I'm not too sure that Joe Darke would work out so well...)
3. Fix the head in the defense attorney objection point. (RevFirst, I think I FINALLY understand what you were talking about.)
