And your Alita/Matt picture reminded me of my own doodles I've drawn featuring those two. I had no idea ~~until spending time at the kink meme~~ that so many people were fond of that pairing? Once it was pointed out to me, it totally made sense though. xD

Oh, not THAT many people are into it, trust me.~~HAHA Those meme requests were MINE!~~ Of course...there are ways of spreading it around. Thus I'm kind of the biggest supplier of fanart for the two. I also clam the title of the first person to do non-meme fanart and non-meme fanfiction for these two. EDIT: ~~]BECAUSE YOU DID IT ON THE MEME! IT WAS YOU. HOLY SHIT. Can I worship you? Please?~~Quite special feeling, actually.

BUT YES PURPLE PRINCESS AND YELLOW BUTTERFLY. I wish they existed. I'd watch their show. Everyday. FOREVER. I'm axually going to see if I can do a decent pixel of the two. Those flowers are going to be a pain, though. :grey:

AHAHAHahaha!! xD You don't understand how much it makes my day to think that all of those (well, not that there have been THAT many, but you know what I mean) Alita/Matt requests were you. xD Also, that is wildly awesome- you should feel fabulous that you were the original A/M-er without the aid of the kink meme. <3 Like I said, once brought to my attention the pairing made so much sense. Plus it helps that they're both visually pleasing characters, you know? They just look nice together.

[OH. OH GOD. You've actually SEEN my Alita/Matt piece? o_o I felt slightly... ~scandalous~ drawing it, but it was terribly fun. And your awesome artwork of those two only makes me want to draw more. WAY TO GO.]

I... i-if you even draw them again, let alone made pixel art of the Purple Princess and Yellow Butterfly I think I might die happy. The flowers would probably be somewhat difficult, but I'm sure you could pull it off wonderfully.

Hmm, it's such a hard call with things like this sometimes. I think the best thing would be to keep drawing in both styles, if that's what comes both naturally and comfortably for you. =) The last thing you want to do is worry about drawing in a specific 'style' when you're trying to illustrate a piece. If you continue to draw in a method that comes naturally to you, and aren't worrying about "oh! I better draw the eyes this way because that's how my new style says I should" you'll notice yourself improving even as you doodle. ~ <3

That being said, simply based on my personal visual taste I'm really digging the style on the left in your compairson picture. I think it has a ton of character and charm to it. The Nick and Maya one in the same style is also insanely cute. :D

But this is something that's ultimately up to you to decide! ~ <3

I agree with Leeser- I often explore different methods to my normal drawing for variation, but also some pictures should be done in a different style of art to what you normally do. Dont do it for a sake of doing it. Just be open to it when it comes and take your time. Noone will judge you badly if you take your time :)
