I love Kay and Shih-na in your Tron picture! The colors are so cool! And I love Edgeworth's face and how mysterious it looks! Thank you for being an inspiration to me! I hope to be as good as you someday! :)

HAH! Maybe we can breathe some life back into the FS RP again :) I use to really love that :)

Yeah- Kraus really has a tender spot for Zeth. Too bad it's non-con.

Thank you ^^ He was the hardest to translate because of the cravat. I'd have to practise to get a style that is more fitting for the TRON universe and still fits their original outfits >.> I'm glad I could inspire someone :D If you need any help on that road, feel free to ask :)

Killy, you are so amazing. @o@

You should get a tablet like mine. I have a Wacom Intuos4 Extra Large Tablet. It's so huge and the beat part is, you can lift up this screen and put your picture underneath it and trace it on the computer. Then, you can color it on the computer.

I already have one- a WACOM Intuos 2 (9 x 12). No offence, but just having a tablet doesn't improve art. I find tablets are unnatural to work with. I think it's a combination of needing to learn a new hand eye coordination, eye strain, and the fact that the tablet has no disconcerting texture to it... oh, and most programs don't mix colours in the way I learnt to... then you don't even get a physical copy of it at the end of the day. Printing digital art sucks too cause the screen NEVER calibrates the same as the printer no matter what you do. All of these and a few more are the reason I don't do much digital art. I just don't enjoy it. If I did do it, I'd do the linearts traditionally still. I've got some digital art, but frankly, they may scan crap but I prefer to make art like this :) You guys don't get to see the originals but I assure you, they are SO much nicer than the scans. The original of this has alot of golden tones, but the scanner picked up on all the red, and not the other colours. I tried adjusting it but it only dulled the colours off.

Basically, I don't do digital because it's easier, cheaper, or superiour. Digital is just another method of art which I do use- Narcolepsy, my latest comic for instance is done in screentone applied via my tablet, and sometimes I do a picture where I want clean edges and a slightly sterile texture to it. Otherwise, I tend to prefer traditional.

Sorry if I seem crabby about this- I'm not. I just don't like the traditional versus digital art. That and OC versus fandom, anime versus realism. Hate all of those arguments cause I hear them SO much. I wish people would just appreciate art and not bicker over small things :/

Sorry for the double post- I've been very slow lately. I'm on a new diet and it's sucking all my energy away from me. No meat, fruit, nuts, coco, etc... I'm hoping to find a way around me lack of energy soon T.T

Anyways, posting another picture. Doubt people will care, but it's Robert Hammond. He doesn't get much love... I know if he wore a cravat he totally would. Anyways, it's for a character count down thing. I think I'll do Viola next. Everyone is avoiding taking the noir characters. Seriously- am I the only one who plays AA who is into this stuff?

Wow! I love it! I never imagined him with a cigarette. It's cool though and I love how you added the Old Man in there. I have a hard time with drawing men because they have a different kind of body structure than girls. :grey:

I hope you regain some energy soon! I know that I hate the feeling of being drained and light-headed when I walk. You'll be fine! :keylady:

Donno- He was born in the 1960s, so I assume since he smokes since I high percentage of people from that time frame or earlier did- there wasn't the education on smoking that they have now. I guess one could say he wouldn't be allowed to smoke indoors, but hey- it's more noir this way :) The old man is Yanni Yogi for the record. The senile old man with the parrot? XD He's a funny old man. I liked his character :) Men aren't too hard to draw... I guess though cause I primarily draw men though that it's easier for me... I find their straight lined looks easier to draw :) Females are getting easier for me, but I still need more practise. It's the subtle differences that are hard.

This lack of energy thing is weird cause I dont' know if it's nutrition, a pain thing, or a medical thing. I'm going to 4 specialists right now, and they all tell different stories. It's VERY frustrating. My Podometrist wants me to get blood tests done to make sure I have the right vitamins in me etc... Homeopath reckons her pills cures all, chiropractor says drink more water.... I should probably do all the above and become a paranoid freak T.T

Well... That makes sense! I remember Yogi... I loved his noodle shop until he revealed himself! :yogi: You are good at drawing women like your OC Sarah Cottontail! But I see what you mean, I draw girls a lot more than guys! (I never draw men)

Don't stress out! But don't become paranoid. Drawing is an absolute way for me to express my feelings and is the perfect thing to do when you are tired. :pearl: You'll get better.

Oh- you're thinking of Eldoon in Apollo Justice :)

Spoiler: Ace Attorney spoiler on who Yanni is
Yanni Yogi was a ballif that was accused of murdering Gregory Edgeworth in AA1, but got made innocent by an insanity plea. Yanni was a bumm living by Gordy Lake who had mysterious information in a safe. He was a tough nut to crack (I love how you have to question his parrot in court XD *dies*

Thank you :) I've been practising women alot. I've had some good advice on drawing them lately, and practicing them more has helped. In fact my latest comic Narcolepsy has a woman lead character which is unusual for me. IT gives me good practice though :)

Actually, I was thinking of when Yogi would ask Phoenix if he would own the "Wet Noodle Shop." And then when he became serious and "remembered who he was." More like confessed But that aside... I was wondering, (maybe this should be posted in the critique thread) But I have a hard time with drawing shoulders. Like the length, I always make them too wide or too small? Do you have any advice? It's been driving me crazy! :meekins:

Jam it into the crit thread with some links to your art :) I have no problem giving advice, but it crowds up this thread with off topic stuff, lol. I'll get onto it with a redline crit or something if you post it there though :)

Sorry Arkillian I've been busy because of school all those extra online classes are not helping me staying active. :coffee:
And lately I've been only drawing Byrne Kay and Badd fanart, curse you turnabout reminiscence and your family fluffs. *cough cough*

You a Larry fan though? :)

I have a new picture in the works, and you'd know I have that collab comic coming up too. Still going. Wish there was more support though :<

Life has been so busy for most people that I know this year. I see but he's so far in the background I love Larry haha. :larry2:
But probably not as big of a Mask*DeMasque and Yatagarasu(*cough*not including Yew*cough*) fan. > - >

That is surprising :think-pw: but give it time, there's a lot of AA fans who would be happy to hear it once the info has been passed on.

Heh- you like the obscure characters XD

I'm picking that alot of AA fans have just gone into hiding cause CR was down so long and CAPCOM are holding back the games. I wish they wouldn't fool around the western market so much. They're going to lose the fanbase the way they're going :/

I suspect though that I'll get the required number of artists with a Phoenix Wright theme. I hope to get comics longer than 4 pages too. I need to put the minimum out there cause they are getting a free comic out of it, and I have to pay to print it all. I want something to sell, and frankly, 4 pages is a no brainer to most Phoenix Wright fans. I might see if I can ask for artists via the clubs too. It... just feels weird selling a doujin that has artists in it that I don't know, that's all :/

Oh my god, this is such cute art.
I always love thinking about what the friendship was like, when they were back in elementary school.
Kind of makes me sad, too since they pretty mush lost their "friendish touch".

Oh hey! More life! Oh man, I feel so popular with 2 comments- WHY YOU SO SLOW CR? :larry:

Heh- that first picture is Miles being all helpless 'I don't get eet why u score high?' XD Larry's ears bleeding blood. They must TRUELY be abusing that song with their voices :damon: :phoenix: IT was such a fun picture to make :) I always imagine both of them to be tone deaf XD

Why do you think they lost their friend touch? They're still friends to me. They're grown ups sure- Larry screws up, Phoenix is random, and Miles is moody. I couldn't say that any of that would've changed. They're still friends. They're just older and more responsible now. It's why Phoenix always defends Larry for free, and Phoenix tries to save Miles, Larry may not be much of a help but he's always a laugh for his friends, Miles may talk bad of both, but only cause he cares. He doesn't give either of them the death expression without a good reason.

Robert Hammond is a REALLY interesting character to me. I really wish he got fleshed out more. It;s exciting to think of what dark dealings Grossbergs law firm did, and all the art of Robert always has him in the shadows. It makes me wonder why more people aren't curious about him. Actually, I made an appreciation thread for him on CR, and there seemed to be alot of interest in him. I guess we're all in the closet fans ^^

Awe- thank you hon :) I'm still learning alot about colour, and alot of this stuff doesn't reflect the original image very well- it's far too red coloured. IT's good to hear though that my efforts are going noticed finally though :) It's been a weak point in my art for a long time now. I knew I wouldn't progress far with selling my art if I didn't do it. Colour choice is still hard, but it's getting easier :)

Thank you for your comment :) It's good to see some life here in the thread ^^ I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one lurking here anymore >.> I'll see if I can post some new art here soon though :edgy:

Five Solid Gold Rings

Image

I was going to hold off posting this until I was meant to post it but heck, CR art thread isn't that busy so screw it. This is for a group event on Deviantart where we draw a Christmas themed picture with Miles and Phoenix on it. I got the 5th of December so I themed mine '5 gold rings'. I of course have been listening to too much old school hip hop lately so this came out. I based it losely of this picture

Damn, Miles works that bling XD Done in copic.

"Crunk Ain't Dead"? More like "C-R Ain't Dead", amirite? :redd:

Anyway, nice picture! It's somewhat refreshing seeing Miles in informal clothing.

Thank you ^^ It's hard to realise how many people like my art- specially here on CR. The only people that seem to comment seem to comment on anime styled art. I don't mind that but it's hard to tell how interested people are in mine XD It's always great to hear when a fan does post even if it's not often <3

Phoenix's hobo outfit is so white boy gangsta XD It cracks me up when I see it cause his attitude suits it so well XD Miles dressed up like it how ever is very ZOMG XD I laugh my head off at this picture every time I see it XD

Artistic licence. Miles would wash out if he had silver hair in this. he washes out with silver hair in most of my art actually. I usually try for brown though... It turned out more yellow in the scan than the original is.

It's a bit of a bummer that the ace attorney fanart thread is dead, but I can't help that T.T

For those still following this thread, I'm still around and drawing. Nothing Ace Attorney yet- I have a comic to come though!

Spoiler: I can has Tiger and Bunny?

A Tiger and Bunny fanart- my first! Done in copics :) The powersuits were horrible to draw T.T

Spoiler: David Tennant as the Doctor
Image

A pencil portrait I did for a tutorial where I learned as much as the person I drew this to teach XD He is SO HARD to draw XD

Spoiler: Once upon a Nightmare

A Redraw of a 10 year old picture http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/ ... sdrako.jpg This is of a few of my OCs from a Medieval fantasy story of mine:- "Bryan (left) has just come back from a possible future where the Drakobitus, a spirit of pure evil had taken over the world and forced his father to kill him and himself. After living his whole life running from his nightmare, the Drakobitus, he's now faced with a younger version who hasn't committed any true crimes yet. This picture is a 3 tiered picture. The present with Bryan facing off the Drakobitus with his Father in his arms. The second tier is his father Blaze protecting him from Drakobitus. The far background is Alex (Blaze) and Edward (Drakobitus) as teenagers."

Yeah- comment a hi if you're still here. I'm not worried if you don't like the art. I'd like to know that this thread is active :)

Shesh, it is really hard to praise you more than I did before.

Your newest art is as outstanding as always.

Ok, let´s see...

Picture one:
I really like the background and the mood in the picture.
Can´t tell why, but it totally fits the suits.
Seems to me like some kind of darker future-vision, Idk.

Picture two:
Classic and epicly awesome pencil-use (if I am correct)
Great work, nothing to add here...

Picture three:
Awesome, can´t think of more to say here. O_o

XD The background was kind of thrown together actually. Random buildings and stuff cause the picture I referenced was too complex for an A5 picture like this. I've found though that certain copics mix REALLY well with other copics. I buy copics in families now, and one of my favourites is the sky colour, BV23,25, 29 I think the colours were off the top of my head. Greyish Laverder, slate and I forget the BV25's name. Those are 3 I REALLY like that you can see, but what you can't see are the BV00, BV000,BV000 on there also for the skin. Those compliment EXCELLENTLY. The warm and cold greys help alot to give shades too. I take my hat off to the grape family of colours though... V91,V93,V95 or something like that. It's a warm version of the greyish lavender family . It's what I used on the buildings with the gold colour. They're all so complimentary with eachother ^^ It's always a win when I use them together. Again though, the original is so much better, but I'll sound like a broken record player if I keep saying that >.<

Yup! Specifically Cretacolor on stella card. It's funny how difficult this was for me to do. For so long he looked nothing like Tennant. The sketch looked so unlike him infact, that it fired a passion in me to fix it as much as I could despite it only being a picture for a crit. Even developing it didn't help. The problem was his face was on an unusual angle where he lost his famous gaunt shape, but wasn't looking straight ahead. It made him unusually round. I was tempted to flatten him off and get his personality back but doing the renders and tweaking his SERIOUSLY complex expression helped. Seriously- this guy is easy to toon. Hard to do realism. he's so expressive >.<

*blushes*

Thanks :) There's not alot of support left here. Alot of the fans have moved on with CAPCOM not releasing the games in english, and Court records being down for so long during the process. it was all really bad timing to be frank, so this once fast moving forum is now SO SLOW T.T IT's great to see eve n one person supporting me. I'm sure there's more, but thank you ^^ It means alot to me *huggles*
