I rly look forward to it.. but I'm also a bit scared : maybe I won't be good enough?! So I gave myself this test => I'm gonna draw some Phoenix Wright characters in order to improve myself. =)
FIRST CHARACTER: MIA FEY!

God! I hate the scanner at my dad's. =p It turned out kinda sketchy and grey. I'm sorry! I'll prolly re-upload it.
I actually don't rly like this drawing, lol. The face is owkay(I made the eyes this time more PW-ish...), but the body, errr .. Lol. =D

The only thing I can notice is that her hair isn't as it is in the games. I really like it this way, however..

yeah, the hair, haha. I did it without reference.. So i kinda messed that up. :p but thanks! =D
I'll hurry up and make the next one.. Hmmm phoenix or maya?:p

Hehe. No worries, I also have original characters ^^ .. But doing this is rly good exercise and it's not like it's completely the same. It's Mia but in my own style.

The only silly little thing I'd recommend is to make sure to darken the nose just a pinch more the next time you draw another character portrait- it could just be my monitor (it's been known to make things look much lighter than on other screens XD) but I almost can't see Mia's in this. Again, that's just something crazy minor though. It would be lovely to see more work from you, including your original characters! <3

Thx, yeah, I actually don't like heavy shading.. I like it more when it's subtle, and nothing is too forced.
And sure! I think it took me about an hour. but most of the time I draw with a headphone on my head and I forget time. (love that feeling.)
