Just to say- I'd be happy to give further feedback but since this picture's a little outdated, I was wondering if you could point me to more recent ones? I can't seem to find any
One thing I will point out though- try to think of the characters in terms of masses as opposed to just lines and colour. Case in point- Mia's scarf. If you look, particularly at the back of her neck, it looks like it's stuck to the side of her neck, as opposed to wrapped around it
The hair is really lovely, particularly Mia's, but the colouring on the rest is rather scribblish in comparison. Still, nice picture overall, I like! :3

With your first picture I think Pearl was done really well. I do agree with the point that Jacks made about Mia scarf but other than that I think you really portrayed them very well.
With the second picture I found the shading was very acurate. I agree with your statement about Mia's neck and I also think that the hair is a little high. Other than that, I think you're a very talented artist and I urge you to draw more!

What you can do is do the most of it in flash, export it to photoshop and do it from there. I often find myself modifying text stuff and random other things in illustrator at the same time as I use photoshop for that reason ^^ I use to do it more often when learning illustrator for my comics, but I've figured that program out finally. If it speeds up the process, do it :) Otherwise, I suggest you look up tutorials on stuff. Why is the bamboo too sensitive? I've never heard that as a complaint before. What's it doing?
