My fanart goes here, yup. You can also request something from me and if I'm ok with the character/pairing/idea you suggest(and if I'm not busy)I'll draw it for you. They'll probably be messy sketches, and Ace Attorney requests only.

As you can see my style is annoyingly inconsistantansdbjhkdfvzjkvzdjndz.

If you're interested, there's also more of my stuff on my Devianart.

I also draw a looooot of Klavier x Ema which you can find scattered through my Tumblr because I'm too lazy to post it all here.

Well, I suppose it's more that I wish my style were more realistic. Somehow whenever I work on a pic it always ends up BAM generic anime shiny desu even when I try hard to make it not so. I really admire artists who find a good balance between cartoon and realism.

Heh- I wouldn't panic over it :) It's just how you do the attitudes of your characters. All of them are pleasant, bubbly, and generally happy characters, or loveable. If that's what you want to draw then that's cool. Cute is very popular. I don't have a clue what you'd want to change it to. What... do you want to be more like?

Are you thinking more like Rueme's gallery on DA?

@Arkillian: Aw thanks! I guess it does fit with the characters I draw, still I'd like to find a style I'm happy with. Although I do like Rueme, I was thinking more along the lines of Celestialvalkyrie. Unique, recognisable style with less of an anime influence and semi realistic facial features. Oh geez, here I am ranting to you, sorry. Thanks a lot for your kind words. :)

All I know is I need a hell of a lot of improvement, ahaha!

Nar- it's fine. I understand totally. I get it myself. I'm trying to do shoujo right now and it's REALLY not easy O.o If you want more realism then why not draw straight from a photo of an asian and try to get it as close to 1:1 as you can? That'll give you a feel for what size everything is in realistic proportions so when you want to make it more realistic, you can. Also, choosing to draw characters with uglier personality traits like anger, and hatred can lead to some interesting realisations about how expressions work. They don't have to be ugly to be angry, but angry certainly isn't cute. Your style may automatically adjust itself for the different mood to something that may interest you. It's something work trying :)

Naw, I started off with realism and I'm confident with it(more or less). I just can't seem to find a style I like to stick with that combines the two, so I automatically slip back into drawing kawaidesudesu. In other words I get frustrated trying to do something different so I go back to what I'm used to. Awfullll personality trait I know. Thank you so much for the lovely advice though. I admit I do need work on expressions! I'm just a lazy twat who finds change difficult. xD

As long as you enjoy what you're drawing then it's all that counts :) How about you write a comic and see if that forces something out? I've always had my writing to bring out scenarios in my art. I did my comic PsuedoDragonto get my hand an eye coordination back up after I recovered from having skier's thumb in my drawing hand for nearly a year. It started off crap, but it got pretty interesting near the end. You could do a Klavier x Ema story and see what happens. perhaps do a story leading up to or past one of your current pictures. It may not force realism out of you, but if you want to try more emotions, it's the easiest way I've found :)

Sorry if you don't want to here this though. I know it can be awkward getting critique when you haven't asked for it. It's my default mode T.T I'm too helpfull ^^;

Already done it, ahaha. I've been planning a long time one too though. You're absolutely right btw, comics are a great way to practice expressions. Very nice comic you have there btw.

Oh no not at all, please don't worry about it. I appreciate your trying to help me and it was very kind of you. :)

Heh- it's not my best comic, but the story got interesting for a while XD My Turnabout Attorney one would probably interest you more. It's a Phoenix Wright fan comic teaser that I sold a while back.

Well, I'm interested now that I know that you're going to do a comic! Fan art is fun, but I'm a bigger fan of comics myself <3 I look forward to seeing it when it happens :) PG? M rated? Or is it naughty XD Lol.

I'm glad I wasn't taken badly then :) I always worry if my help will offend anyone :(

I really like your art especially the way you color. :butzthumbs:

About your problem with your style, have you tried changing it little by little? For example changing one area where you mostly don't care much and progressively building your way up?
sorry if I fail to be much help, I'm currently having the same problem with some parts of my original style...

It's not a bad idea Soreveil. Sometimes a style change is too much of a shock all of a sudden. Perhaps little changes may help more.

@ Arkillian Ahhhh awesome comic! The art and dialog are great and the story is really interesting. I love how nicely it flows, getting the panels to flow together is one of the hardest parts of comic writing, imo. Very impressive!

Aw you're so nice! If you're still interested when it's done I'd be honoured if you read it. Well the long term comic I'm planning will be more plot oriented(if I can manage it). However right now I'm working on a comic fill for the kink meme. M rated. xD A challenge to test my nekkid people drawing skills.

Don't worry about it! You're very kind to help, if people take it the wrong way it's their problem.

@soreveil- Small changes happen naturally, I've decided to take it as it comes. Thanks though! :'D It's a bit annoying to me when I don't see immediate progress.

Do you mind showing me some of your art? I'd love to see it!

Hnnnng everyone is so nice here, wish I'd joined sooner.

Thank you :) The flow could be alot better in that comic in the first half, but the second half I actually scripted. Scripts make a HUGE difference to flow. MY current one wasn't scripted either cause the story wasn't coming out fast enough. It has a script now, but there's flow errors in it T.T I'd script your comic out if I were you. The more panels, the slower the story moves, the bigger the panels, the more important. That's a good rule of thumb :) I have alot of tips, but if you want them you'd need to ask specific questions. There's alot of stuff I've picked up on comicing- alot of print only knowledge though.

Mmmm... M rated. Definitely keen then ^^

Oh really? I actually thought it was pretty smooth all the way through, but I'm definitely no expert. Anyway thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to follow your advice. :) Thanks for being so lovely, if I have any questions while I work on the comic you'll be the first person I go to!

Ema x Klavier x chocolate is the best trio ever ^^

The non smooth parts were mostly the first part up to Phoenix being unconscious on the floor. IT's more that it wasn't fluid. It worked- you could tell it wasn't great writing till after that though. It's fine though- I was VERY sick when I did those first 5 pages. I drew all of that without a script and I didn't write it well enough to get away with it. My current comic was written after it was drawn which is better way than writing as I draw cause the creative process happened as a whole rather than as a segment. It's best to write a script first of course though so you can draw the panels to suit the writing. I had big issues with my comic doing the text cause I had to cover stuff to fit it >.> IT's something to be wary of. I can link and example of a script format that works for me if you want :) I have a process which works pretty solid for me.

@Arkillian- Agreed. ;'D

Ah I see I see. I'm a complete newb at comic writing, so hearing about the process you use is extremely helpful, thank you so much! I'd absolutely LOVE a link to that example. I'm always worrying about things like layout and pacing, and I always find myself going back and fixing things in a way that I'm never satisfied with the end result, ahaha. How long would you say it takes you to make a page from start to finish?

D'awww your art IS super cute. I really like your color usage and the way you use pattern in a lot of the work here is nice as well.

I definitely feel your pain when it comes to wanting art that's less cute. Though mine is less "shiny kawaii desu" and more "Saturday morning children's cartoon" ;) You just have to slowly work through it! Good luck on your future endeavors~ Let's see some more sexy Klavier ;)
