Ethed, you are super geil, you know that?

I want to request a wallpaper from you. Me wants a new DiegoxMia (or GodotxMia) wallpaper so badly. Use fanart, there are so many bloody fanarts out there so I'll let you choose the art :p But, I want the art to be more hot than cute.
And the wallpaper itself, I want it to be more dark than bright. I have no prefered colours.

The position of the art doesn't matter as I like arranging the icons to fit the wallpapers I use. And the size of the art doesn't matter, I don't have an immense amount of icons on my desktop. But the bigger the better :p
Oh, and the resolution uh... *checks* 1280x1024.

Make it sexy, geddit? :3

Ummm, this is my first try entering into the lioness's den this Minimalistic PW Wallpaper thread.

And I love what just caught my eyes -- Yay! Richard Wellington's wallpaper!! I wish my German is as good as my dad to ever try posting replies in that language though.....

Thanks for making my day (it's not likely to find Rich's wallie anywhere....), and I hope that if there's anything that I've argued with you before are forgiven... sometimes I become too carried away with my own self.....

Either make them myself or use old stuff I've saved. I prefer own stuff at all times, though, since I'm already using somebody else's Phoenix Wright art, but either way I'm editing all of the material heavily before using. :)

And the effects on that one... holy shit is a good expression I believe. It's beautiful, looks almost like some kind of supernova O_O And all the colours, the yellows and golds and blues and purples... I love them. And I love how it's all so textured, with all the scratches and sparks- subtle but interesting, perfect for a wallpaper.

Oh, I really really like this one. The mix of warm colours and the underwater (I'm assuming it is underwater? With the bubbles and fish and stuff... yeah, it is I think XD) theme is especially cool. I also LOVE that picture of Nick, it's one of my favourites =D The peaceful look is also something that makes me think of water- very serene. And I love how he's almost the lightsource, it's very him, and is also really, really pretty.

More importantly-

BujsdgjGAH *cries* That's so SAD. I wanna go hug 'em. And the art in the pictures themselves is stunning. And this has now cemented you as some kind of god of graphics editing, seriously. Just... wow. I absolutely love how you do colour, you know that? Your combos are never boring and they never clash. I love they yellowy green and the yellow and the orangey red. Unusual but really pretty. And he background sort of looks like it's going from fire to leaves, dunno if it was deliberate but oh it looks s good! And the small touch of the little pricks of light is lovely.

Also, using a monochrome image was a great idea- in a way I suppose it's designed to have high contrast, so little is lost if you overlay something (Note to self, try this XD)

In short, I have a new wallpaper. Yay! XD Also, how many layers do you use on average for a WP?

Your reviews kill me.. I'm so far from your praise; most I do is chuck colours and characters in a box, pretend it's a samba rattle (SHAKEY SHAKEY SHAKEY) and present the result. I didn't have any personal guidance when I started and developed a feeling for what looks good and what's utter crap myself, but some of what you do just blows my mind, and some of the harmony in your works I couldn't create in near future. Your recent Makoto signature, for instance, or the one you're using now.

I think it IS sort of a GS spoiler but I thought Mia x Diego would be quite the warning itself :D If you like though, I'll add that. I wanted to let a background suggest 3D on a doujinshi image that has little [agh what's that sticky foil called in English? You know, the Benday dots-ish one popular with mangaka] to begin with, and if you look at Godot's face for instance I think that worked well :D There's also the hint of zomg soul leaving the body in panel 3. Background-foreground interaction is a lot of fun :<

The background of the wallpaper will be anything up to 16 layers for a normal image, up to 500 for simple vectors xD That's more shapes than anything of course. Simple foregrounds go up to five layers.

Now you're just being silly =| XD Seriously, you do stuff amazingly well and don't you forget it. Going by what you like is just fine- it's a good way to go in fact, because you're so familiar with it. And as someone who until two months ago thought a good icon was a sprite on a blinding background with a badly applied brush... your praise means a lot to me. <3

Oh, you mean screentones? Oooh, you're right, it is like that effect! I didn't really think of it like that but that's so nifty!

And wow, you use a lot of layers XD;; of course making your own vectors is way more difficult than simply using textures generally. I'm not great with them myself.

Ah yes, screentones is the one - the artist of the doujinshi already used them in his work, but there's not a lot - which I freely abused XD

Vectors are a lot more technical than artsy and it takes patience.. I don't like them a ton myself but mainly since I'm lazy. :<

And I actually do think sprites on blinding backgrounds with brushes can make awesome icons! :D

Oh yeah, the wallpaper... XD

This is amazingly gorgeous as well. In your short absence, did you practice a lot? Cause you seem to have improved a large amount. Haha, star, rockstar, YAY I GOT A PUN I never get puns. I really love that flame there. Coloured flames make me gleeful. Plus, you can't have Klavier without purple, can you? But I think my favourite bit of the whole damn thing is the bit it comes from. I don't know why, but it looks smooth and it glows and all the sparks look like fireflies (white ones...). And I love how you put the little abstract patterns in the sky, it just looks really lovely (and is making me think of the Northen lights for some reason.). I also love that you've made the stars *small* as I hate large star brushes. The only thing I'd say is that the reddish part at the bottom seems a little tiny bit big and the abrupt start into patterns and stars is a little odd, but that's personal opinion and it's not really my place.

TL;DR- <3!

It's been a while since a last posted... and your wallpapers are getting better and better :).
I ABSOLUTELY love the last Diego/Mia wallpaper. The colours and the pics of Sienna are JUST perfect. And yes, the idea of the background suggesting 3D it's great. The only thing I can critize is that the last pannel (the one with a bit of Mia's head) looks a bit odd... but that's just my opinion :). Anyway is a stunning wallpaper, like Ayries said. Man, it's a shame that I can't use it because of my parents... (you know, "hey, who are these guys?", "why is she crying?", "what are they saying?" and all that stuff xD).

And I also love that Klavier wallpaper :edgy:.
