Foolishly foolish fools!!

Spoiler:
de Killer says it was not his work... But how do you know he's telling the truth? Perhaps the only red herring here... is that picture of a red herring in Greeny's post!!

...Anyway, like I said way back when, I really really really don't(/didn't?) want Shelley to be the killer. If he really isn't the killer, then I will be very very very happy, but I'm going to be skeptical for now...

(Ha ha! Baron von... Whoziwutsi is open for accusations again!)

As far as I can see, this presents two possibilities:

  • Shelly de Killer is lying, which I doubt, considering how readily he admitted to Corrida's murder.
  • Someone planted the card there. Something bothers me about that, though. The card was found in a different location than where Vitlova was shot. If the killer was trying to frame de Killer, it would make more sense to place the card next to Vitlova's body.

Spoiler:
*gasp* Did the ambassador do it... himself?! I'm sure he could've gotten access to a card of Shelly's, maybe if he had met Edgeworth earlier and asked about it... then stolen the card and planted it at the scene after learning about his methods?

It's not the same for a game though. They don't have to wait to view it, if they don't want to be spoiled, then don't check the posts, it's different because they don't have to wait for a localization.

Unless that wasn't the first murder to occur at the bar. Maybe De Killer killed someone there a while ago, left the card, then it was over looked by/ hidden from the detectives, and then found now. (probably wrong but oh well)

Maybe Qwerven could be partially right. Maybe there WAS a murder there and the card was left, but people have absentmindedly been moving it around since the murder, and it finally ended up in the bathroom. You're probably dealing with drunks who find the card, so they don't really think too much of it.

Well, if you gave something to a drunkard after drunkard after drunkard for a while, you'd think sooner or later the card would get bent, or scratched, or ripped, or spilled on, or vomited on, or lost, or something.

Whoa, BP, you got 1900th post in this topic, and I got 1900th reply. Anyway, you kind of have a point, but thats assuming only drunks handled it. For all we know it could have accidentally gotten hidden away, then the night before the murder, someone found it, but left it in the bathroom. Possibly leaving it in fairly good condition.

Let's just go with Ockham's Razor and say someone planted it >_>

Also, if de Killer is just a red herring... then about every panel since the card was found is useless.
Highly unlikely. (Unless this hypothetical other murder is somehow connected to the case)

Yeah, I was just thinking that too xD
"If de Killer really is unrelated, would Greeny really have spent all this time on nothing?"
The only problem is, this whole de Killer thing was fully developed. Greeny did what he had to do to get de Killer involved, without anything extra. It's not like Tsuki could find the card, and on the way out run into de Killer and have him tell her this stuff.

true true, de killer was too well set up to be a throw away :think-think-think: :eh?: does this mean de killer was lying about having nothing to do with it? ...or he really had nothing to do with it and someone framed the assasin to cover up the tracks so it looked like they had nothing to do with it...i'm guessing it's the russian ambassador :violin:

But it's all been tightly underwraps. I think I remember that when they were presenting the DeKiller card they told all observers to exit the courthouse (or am I just making it up?)

The only people who should know about DeKiller are the members of the "Super Duper DeKiller Catching Squad"

Spoiler: 2-4
After all, the only reason anyone in 2-4 knew about the card was due to the fact that Adrian TOOK it from the scene. Otherwise, they would have noticed it was from DeKiller and no one would have known. Also, if even Joseph Black didn't know about the card's meaning, probably a lot of the police wouldn't know about it either. I suspect only few, but important, people would know anything about the card.

The DeKiller red herring wasn't completely pointless. Now we know that the culprit must have inside details on DeKiller. Which, quite notably, narrows the list of suspects.

Theory time!
Spoiler:
Victor did it. Y'see, Natasha was obviously something bad for the country; perhaps another assasin. She was hired to kill Francis, but she knew she couldn't show she was in the country and intended to frame his death on DeKiller. But Victor recognized her at some point, and killed her. Then the card ended up in the bathroom by accident. That's my theory anyway.
