If his mom committed suicide 13 years ago, then this witness would have been 3 years old at the time (assuming he's 16 now, being a high schooler). At the age of 3, he wouldn't have been able to remember the event clearly, if at all. I certainly can't recall anything from before I was 4. Even if he could remember, I don't think a child that young would understand the significance of what he saw, either.
Furthermore, I also wonder what kind of mother gives birth to a child, and then commits suicide soon after. This testimony smells of fish.

High school is meant to be a "What kind of work do you wish to be in" specialization. For some it's around the age of 12-15 you begin high school. Then again we have the Freelance HIgh school where everyone from 16- Death can join in.
Some people mix up high school as the last 6-9 Grade, which is correct in English terms, but however it's not the same as others.
