I'm sure. Sorry, it's just something I say on reaction.

But yeah, I've seen lord knows how many people saying they wanna learn Japanese for that reason. Or replace "games" with "anime".

Hmm... let's see...
Portuguese (my mother tongue)
Spanish (my second language, I've been speaking it for as long as I can remember)
English (I studied the language for 7 years + videogames and the internet)
German (I studied german for 1,5 years + I studied and lived in Germany for 1 year - full immersion yay)
French (I studied it for 3 years but unfortunately I forgot most of it)
Japanese (yay animes - I can understand spoken Japanese fairly well. I also know my hiragana but unfortunately I have a lot to learn if I want to start playing videogames in japanese but hopefully I will start having japanese classes in two months)

I could speak some Tagalog and read and write most of it. I don't usually do though, I only learned the language so that I understand what my parents yell at me.

I also learned some French from my sister. I know a few phrases, but I don't speak it much either.

I speak portuguese (I'm from Brazil), english, spanish and a bit of japanese.
Aside from Japanese, all of these are required at my school. Japanese...I'm trying to learn by myself.

"Falam Português?"
"Speak English?"
"¿Hablas Español?"
Uh... I forgot the Japanese one... XD

I took French for two years...I never became good at speaking it but I can read a little.

I sometimes speak a little Italian, but just grazie, grazie mille, and musica. (Since music is my drug.) I wish I knew the language though because I think it's very sexy/romantic.

My mom forgotten how to speak Tagalog so her teaching me was pointless.

I wanted to learn Spanish because of my Mexican friends...but again, I always have the worst of luck when it comes to languages.

And there are somedays where I just want to break out into random Japanese but I don't want to sound weird...besides, I only know words. (And not just the usual, kawaii and baka.)

And now thanks to this lovely German rap song and Klavier Gavin...I wish I could learn German.

I'm one of those folks barely fluent in their native tongue, despite speaking it every day. I took Spanish for like 10 years but pretty much learned nothing as they never really encouraged conversational use. Took Italian for like a semester and did well only because it's very similar to Spanish.

For shits and giggles, I've decided to take up Japanese. We'll see how it goes. It's only been a little over a month, but it hasn't scared me off yet (yeah, I know, probably not long enough to be scared off).

I'm fluent in English, took 3 years of Spanish in high school yet I can't remember anything of it. I'm taking my second semester of Japanese and I can say I've learned far more Japanese in this short of amount time than Spanish.

I can speak fluent German (being my mothertongue and all, heh), then I've had English for over 4 years in high school and I can little French, Spanish and Vietnamese (i've had a boyfriend who was born and raised in Vietnam and English was too hard for him back then so I learned the basics but that didn't help much since we only lasted 6 months xD )

I grew up bilingual because of my mother, so I'm fluent in English and German.

I also went for the French Branch in my High School and learned that for 3 years - I doing pretty well, but now that I barely use it anymore, I sort of let it slide. I kinda forget the easiest words now...

I've also been teaching myself Japanese for, eh, let's say 10-11 years now. I'm somewhat okay, I can't form sentences myself unless I have heard them before, I can read some kana... but without Furigana above, I generally don't know the "big" words. I'm actually better at understanding Spoken Japanese, rather than Written.
Pretty helpful when I play Dating Sim games.
Also, I generally end up importing the majority of my J-RPGs. Mostly because I prefer the Japanese voices, but also because I find it a good way to learn even more. Never took a proper lesson...

My native language is finnish.
Besides that I know like few sentences of swedish....didn't pay much attention during the class lol.
Anything else than those? Hmm...Not really to be honest.
I just like to use some random words I've learned, like danke for example.
So yeah; I know some words but...I can't really speak anything besides my native language and english.

I can speak fluent English (my mother tongue) and I've been learning French for the last 5 years of my life.

Also, I know bits of Japanese, as I'm trying to teach myself to speak it. Unfortunately, I'm finding it quite difficult...

Sadly, English is my only language.

I wanna learn Tagalog so I can talk with my family back in the Philippines much easier, but my dad says it's a really difficult language for him to teach.

I kind of also wanna learn Japanese. 'Don't know what I'll do with it, but it might do something for me in the future.

English isn't my first language, I'm bilingual. I'm trying to self-teach myself to learn a third language for personal reasons-I only know basic stuff so far-but my mother also wants me to learn her language as well.

Funny thing happened when I was searching for a romance anime. I stumbled upon a Japanese learning video and now I know how to say "I love you" in Japanese ._.

I find this a bit ironic from my point of view. And now I can't stop practicing.

Well now you mean "I love you" the way it is used in all sorts of romantic series or "I love you" the way people translate what the Japanese actually say, which is "Sukidesu" which actually means "I like you"? There's a huge difference, most romance manga you see, they say Suki meaning they have a strong like for someone. When the Japanese say Love, as in really Love, they say "Aishiteru" which does mean "I love you" which is generally only said to somebody who you really love a ton, like somebody you want to marry.

Yeah, yeah, I'm a total nitpicker at things, especially towards language. :redd:

I learned the easy one, the version of the saying for the one you want to be with forever. I kept on mubbling it last night. There was also two forms of "I like you" but I'm still working on those.

This post is kind of old but I can try teaching you Tagalog if you're still interested. I might as well do something productive with my free time.

On topic, I know Bisaya, Tagalog, and English. I also understand some Spanish and Japanese words(commonly spoken ones in anime) here and there.
