When RobotoDomo is offline, Luigi comes out to interact with the world. RobotoDomo is essentially Luigi, though like most people on here, RobotoDomo is masked.

Luigi spends his time in school and home, considering his tender age of, well... let's just say he's in highschool (let's avoid stalkers yeh). Luigi is considered by most to be a weirdo. But of course he thinks differently about that matter. Though literally, he does think differently. He considers himself to be smart, though he never really expresses the thought to other people. Besides, it never reflected in his grades that he was smart. But Luigi never believed that those numbers were the basis of a person's intelligence...

Luigi once tried to express his thoughts and opinions to the world. Presumably, that was the reason why he was declared weird. He never shared any further opinions since then. He tries to please everyone, though now he's sick of it. He now decides to shut himself from the world and try to recollect himself through the internet, and the many people in there.

Generally, Luigi is a happy-go-lucky guy. He smiles a lot, though people don't really know the things that is going on in his head. How bad they made him feel, how much they have humiliated him, how desperate they made him to change. All he wanted was to fit in. But he never could. He was different.

Luigi is a geek (not really) and quite obsessed with Minecraft and Phoenix Wright. No one else knew/liked those fandoms as much as he did. He had no one to share his experiences with, other than the internet.

Basically, RobotoDomo and his other internet names is the same person, but justified. His acts were justified in a sense where he wasn't judged when he uses the world "feels" in the internet. Justified when he didn't have a girlfriend or anything. Justified for liking a game where you are a defense attorney defending clients. Justified when preferring a game that is pixelated over crappy strategy/shooter games that are so generic, when, the only thing that can keep it going on is its graphics. And not judged when he draws random stuff. And definitely, justified for speaking English when others do not/cannot. RobotoDomo; he's Luigi out of his shell. When others are obviously wrong, Luigi is quiet. But RobotoDomo will shove the facts unto the person's face. That's him, and that's internet him.

I apologize for my over dramatic wall of text. My first time expressing myself. ._.

TLDR; Roboto is Luigi, but better and more socially acceptable. :phoenix:

I can completely relate to that. I'm usually quiet about the opinions I have on people and today's society and unlike you, I have never expressed my opinions to other people before, so I really respect you for having a go.

I do believe things will get better in time though and I hope that one day I'll have the courage to express my opinions without worrying about what other people have to say. ^^

Thanks ahaha. I find it hard to find likeable people where I live, especially if they're the personified version of everything that grinds my gears. But yeah, I pretty much believe it'll all get better.

And oh hi Emiko. :larry2:

i feel like there are 3 versions of me: the online me, the offline me interacting with friends/family, the offline me interacting with acquaintances/people i don't know.

i think i'm most outgoing when i'm with friends/family. i act like myself and say whatever i want to say and nobody cares that i'm weird.

with people i don't know... i can be pleasant i guess, but a lot of times i could be horribly socially awkward and aloof. it's baaad. haha

online, i think i can say that i'm pretty much the same. still aloof and socially awkward, though to a somewhat lesser degree. i guess it's probably because of the anonymity of being on the internet that lets me be more relaxed about interacting with people i don't really know. i realized now though, that i'm not very good at "interacting" online either. i mean i have a twitter account and a tumblr, but i mostly just write and post stuff without really interacting with my followers/people i follow. even here. it's funny because i used to be more outgoing online, but it seems as though my social awkward-ness from offline has creeped into my online life as well. maybe because i haven't really been active in communities like this for some time now.

With outgoing you mean that you're able to speak more freely online than offline? That's understandable, but how can social awkwardness transfer from offline to online? You'd probably only have more stuff to vent about.

I'm actually more polite online than offline, because I have more time to articulate my sentences and think about what I want to say. In a direct conversation you have to respond more quickly, which can result in rudeness sometime.
Face your emptiness don't be afraid. The danger is often smaller than your fear.

true, but i guess it depends on where i'm speaking or well, writing. on twitter or tumblr, i feel like i can say whatever i want without thinking much about it because i feel like it's my own space. but in community forums, like this for example, i tend to think long and hard before replying, sometimes to the point of overanalyzing what people say, wondering if what i say might offend someone, that i just give up on replying at all. and i realized that this is how i am offline when i'm with people i don't really know. i sometimes find myself sitting out of conversations for fear of saying the wrong thing.

I'm exactly the same! Both online and offline I act like that. I also think Twitter is easier, but I don't really go on it much now though.

Im pretty much the same both offline and online. Im a bit too serious and Im not really good at communicating or making small talk in both worlds. I can only really have an extensive conversation about things that focus on the world at large...which can be a problem when people try to talk about "normal" things or if they're just trying to have a friendly conversation with me. I guess I need to practice being more open...
