Here is another one from my childhood, I was quite a cheeky one back then.
At my elementary school we had a sand pit for the small kids to play in (4 to 6 years or 1st and 2nd grade in the Dutch system). When I was 9 (5th Dutch grade) I had an urge to play in the sand pit and went for it. I got covered in sand and dirty in the process (which is why we weren't allowed to play in it)
Needlessly to say I got caught and had to stay after class with my teacher to talk about it. After the lecture:
Teacher: Alright Sjibbey, don't do it again ok? Then we'll leave it at that. Is that OK with you?
Me: That's fine. *We'll put sand on it.
*literal translation of a dutch saying: 'zand erover doen' which means: to bury the hatchet.
Fortunately my teacher appreciated the play on words and laughed about it. I guess I just had a way with words back then.
Face your emptiness don't be afraid. The danger is often smaller than your fear.
