Alot of people know about it, and i was just wondering everyone views,
personly i think that they are a bunch of horrible people, i mean, your pretty low when you steal from a kid thats bleeding in a coner, right?
i also think that its really stupid that its started all over some kid that brought out a gun on the ploice, yeah your gunna get shot if you do that, and normal ploice dont even hold guns, so they had to call out people that did, doesnt that show that that kid desevered to get shoot?

so yeah, what do you guys think?

I'm horrified think we should be out there with weapons fighting them.
A man was shot and killed in the riots apparently...now the playing field is equal given it all started with the police shooting someone.
Yet the riots will continue, then again I doubt these 'protesters' care about the man anymore for the majority. The actual 'cause' I'm betting a large portion of the rioting crew are just using it as a reason to justify theft.

What really bugs me is how many innocents are being harmed and their livelihoods are being destroyed by this.
Hell I'd bring in real bullets forget rubber bullets to curb the looters.

Personally I'm annoyed this topic was made XP Kinda wish this would all just go away.

It's a much nicer picture XD

In better news

Was one little punk tried to start a Glasgow riot on Facebook the otherday. Police just stomped down the guy and said "No..." shutting it down nice and early.
Though it's worrying to think people this far north are considering it.

Just wish it would all stop.

Seriously, We all know they're not rioting for 'revenge' against this man that was shot, they're looking for trouble and to loot some shops. It's that simple.

And my dad works in London so guys stop it D:< I don't want anything to happen to him.

Isn't one of the biggest arguments for why the UK is better than the US is the fact that we're violent and they're not?

It's disgusting. I'm all for giving the police more power. There's something humiliating about seeing the police force stood around, not allowed to take more action against these yobs. I've seen them interviewed on the news, and they can't even make up a decent reason for why they are doing this. They have no reason. If any of them say they are rioting because of certain political policy, it's complete rubbish. Like any of these uneducated idiots care about politics. I doubt many of them even know who the PM is. It's just a pathetic excuse for a teenage rebellion, and it's horrible to watch.

They are starting to be sentenced now, and I don't think I'm going to agree with any of the outcomes. They will get sentenced for theft/destroying property or something like that, yet I think it's important not to ignore the situation. It's not as simple as that. They have joined in with riots, messing up England's cities and putting innocent people at risk, just for the sake of it.

Rant over, sorry! At least it looks quieter tonight, I think.

For the fun of it. Seriously.

Any rioters that say they're protesting about Mark Duggan's death is a complete bullshitter.

The rioters (who are STILL being called protesters by the media FFS!) are just a bunch of violent opportunistic thugs who have nothing better to do than terrorise their own fucking cities.

Anywho, have some pics:

Heh even if they did complain about his death at least 4 innocents (I've heard of) have died in the riots killed by rioters so the tally is far from even.

Over in Las Vegas there's been around ten fatal police shootings this year (come on just taze them or shoot 'em in the legs!!) and the year before that two or three policemen died in car accidents from their own reckless driving. My dad even had to talk down policemen that were going to do something that was going to deprive him of his constitutional rights. We probably have more beef with the behavior of our police than London does but we do nothing and something of this magnitude would probably NEVER happen, even in "sin city".

I feel really bad for the innocents that are getting caught up in the London riots. I heard a century-old family business burned to the ground.

At first I thought the rioters were protesting the Olympics being in London next year and then I wondered why anyone would even want to protest that.

This whole ordeal is rather depressing though. What started out as a seemingly noble cause turned into an angry mob. I don't know what it's like in Britain, but some people are in talks saying that this might cause some riots in other parts of the world, which would suck. :(

See, another reason I hate this! It makes us look bad to other countries. I bet it must look like we leave in such a warzone full of angry youth. It's not normally like this, we are nice, peaceful brits, bar some that are just complete idiots :( I think everyone needs to settle down and talk about this over some tea and crumpets, yes?

Really? Mocking a country where riots have killed people ruined lives and stuff?
Just get out man.

The news says rioters are developing a new term for these riots called "Aggressive Shopping" which hints at the true motives behind most of the riots ugh.

Showed some smug looking white boy in a hood and shades talking about how the riots really brought all the gangs together talking like it was a good thing and admitting he'd looted and not sounding the least bit shameful. I hope they arrested him immediately afterwards.

It's totally crazy. They can't even justify why they're rioting...
And apparently all these people who are starting these riots and making life in London hell are from the ages 13-17 or something?
There was this weird interview the other day with 2 girls who were about 14-15 years old. The reporter asked them what they were rioting about...their response?

"Well, we just wanna let the rich people know that we can do anything we want!"
The reporter: "And you're drinking?"
"Yeah! We're drinking wine and just letting the rich people know what we can do!"

(of course I'm paraphrasing...but that about sums it up...)

My papers go on about a 9 year old boy caught in the looting.
I'm willing to assume the parents are partially responsible in this case for crime so young, possibly looting themselves.

Did the riots ever start out at Peaceful Protest? I heard they were supposed to be.

What a douche. So much disrespect for our culture.

I can't believe these people that are looting complain about how hard life is for them, if they do this, then we need money for repairs. But what do we do instead? Give the very same people benefit money.

It's gotten to the point children, old people and even PREGNANT people TEENAGERS are being caught. What fucking irresponsibility, getting pregnant, probably by mistake, and then endagering the babies life by rioting. Fucking loon.

My mum thinks all the rioters should be exported to Iraq, but I don't think they'd last very long. I do get a bit scared of walking around now, especially at night. =(

Anyone notice all the riots happen when it's the Conservatives in power?

I don't think it's fair to blame the government for these riots, at all really. It's obvious these riots had nothing to do with political motive, and didn't really have a valid reason.

My Favourite quote of the day (from Hazel Blears MP for Salford, the former Communities minister):

'The question we need to be asking, is, why weren't these children in school?'

[For anyone who doesn't know how the UK/Western school system works: middle of August = middle of the summer holidays]
And they say the rioters are stupid....

I was appalled at the disgusting behaviour of the looting scum. (Just to be clear). (I work in Central London, so I had the displeasure of seeing some of the damage)

Also, Maximum respect to those who protected their communities from further damage (In particular the Ealing man, and the three Birmingham lads, who lost their lives doing so). RIP.

Good thing those girls weren't named otherwise think some people may have issues with em.

Conservatives are such an easy target these days. It's clear that these rioters are only doing it for their own selfish needs yet they're trying to delude themselves into thinking they actually have a great cause by blaming it on their government. Somebody needs to slap some sense into them. :/

Yeah the girls in the video try to blame it on them....well one of them does...the other girl just goes "Yeah whatever, the government, I dunno who it is".

To me this kinda indicates the government is just a convenient all-purpose scapegoat for any of the countries problems. :yuusaku:

LOL. Never did like her.

Also, Yvette Cooper saying that a likely reason for the riots is the tuition fee rise, is just funny. Because clearly all these rioters look like prospective uni students. She's also about 9 months too late. No doubt there are some students in with them, but I'd say the large majority left school at 16.

The conservatives are a bunch of useless tossers but the rioters blaming them for all this would be pathetic. They should just be honest and say it's because they're a bunch of retards who wanted to beat up some innocent people and get free TV's.

I think it's very sad... I don't live there but London has always been seen as a calm, cultured place here in North America and for this to happen just makes one feel very hopeless about the state of the world.
