Got your math backwards. A teacher's quality is DIRECTLY proportional to their ability to admit they're wrong, and inversely proportional to the amount of times you have to actually correct them in facts. It's also directly proportional to the amount of help they're willing to give you when you ask them for it for personal projects and non-academic stuff. =)

I knew that! I was merely testing your knowledge of proportions, is all. (Or I might have just got it mixed up...)

Any gemstone form of corundum is called a sapphire, regardless of color--with two exceptions: red (ruby) and pinkish-orange (padparadscha). All other corundum gemstones are sapphires, and they can come in just about any color. A pure sapphire (in other words, one that is completely devoid of impurities) is colorless.

The largest pull back in western animation is in the Powerpuff Girls Movie, transitioning from a close up on Mojo Jojo laughing, out of his lair, all the way through the city of Townsville, back into the suburbs of Townsville, and through the window into the girls' bedroom.

Actually, because of the concept that it was a device "leaps and bounds" over current technology, Strawberry was a later name. The REAL original name for the BlackBerry was LeapFrog. =p

R&B Facts:

Ray Charles's #1 hit "What I Say" was actually made up during a concert right on the spot.

The original Motown headquarters, named "Hitsville", was just a two story house with the recording studio in the basement.

Aretha Franklin's signature song "Respect" was written for and originally recorded by Otis Redding.

Since their beginning, the Four Tops went over 40 years without a single personnel change, and what caused the personnel changes was health problems, not attitudes.

Stevie Wonder joined Motown at age 11

The Temptations won Motown its first grammy award in 1968.

There are three letters in the Russian alphabet (ь, ъ, and ы) that no word in the Russian language begins with.

Several nouns in the Russian language always have plural endings, even when there's only one of them (e. g. часы, брюки). Due to this, as well as how objects are counted in Russian, they cannot be counted if the ones digit is 2, 3, or 4 (unless the tens digit is 1). For example, there is no correct way to say "four clocks" in Russian.

People who take virginity pledges are actually more likely to contract STIs because they are typically less informed about the risks (and thus less likely to take the proper precautions) when and if they break their pledge (which they often do).

Tsar Fyodor I was also known as "Fyodor the Bellringer" after his fondness of ringing the bells in churches.

At the first performance of Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1, the audience loved the march so much that they demanded it be played a second time before Elgar be allowed to move on to the second march (they premiered in the same concert). After that, they demanded it be played a third time before finally allowing the concert to continue.

Fred Flintstone's "Yabba dabba doo" was originally ad libbed by the voice actor, so was Homer Simson's "D'oh!".

Originally, Mario was going to have a gun in Super Mario Bros.

Ema Skye was supposed to be the main character in Ace Attorney Investigations, but they decided to change it to Edgeworth.

Which one are you "whoa"ing to?

Originally Winston Payne was going to be a defense attorney who would represent Phoenix after he was framed by Red White.

Turnabout Sisters was originally the first case of GS1, but the developers wanted Phoenix to interact more with his mentor before she died, so they added another case before it.

Dee Vasquez's character was going to be male, but the developers realized that all the killers were men, so she was made a female to add variety.

My "A" in French III depended on me stabbing fencing with my French teacher, going horseback riding, shooting a bow and arrow, or learning Latin at least once a quarter.

A Fenghuang is a Chinese phoenix. Originally, the males were typically referred to as feng while the females were referred to as huang, but nowadays the fenghuang is usually depicted as female so it can be paired with the Chinese dragon.

The Bennu is an Egyptian deity, rumored to be the predecessor of the phoenix.

I know someone related to Dante Basco.

People rarely ask Nolan North to sign Trauma Team.

German chocolate cake isn't really German; the reason it's called that is because the guy who invented it had the last name German.

Potato chips were originally created when a chef kept on getting his potatoes sent back as the customer complained about them being too thick, too soft, and not salty enough. So just to spite him, the chef sliced them paper thin, fried them to a crisp, and just poured on the salt. To his surprise, the customer loved them, and thus, a snack food staple was born.

Until the 1930s, people used gasoline as a cleaning product. However, it was soon stopped, for obvious reasons.

In the background of the shiverburn galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2, there are strange shadow creatures standing there, watching Mario. The creepiest thing is, in the games files, the background for that level is called ''Hell Valley Sky'', and the shadow creatures are called ''Hell Valley Sky Tree''.
