Believe it or not, by making that admission, you've made yourself that much more ready. The object of my interest replied in the affirmative. A short while later, still during the second to last song, I asked her more specifically if I could dance with her, as opposed to dancing as a part of her group of friends. Again she replied in the affirmative. I'm on a roll, I thought to myself.
So, the second to last song comes to an end. Her girlfriends leave the dance floor, I was on a roll, and so I ask her if she wants to dance to the final song as well. She says yes, and we move more towards the center of the floor (we had been near one of the edges before). We then danced in an open position for the entire song.
I loved it... I hope she loved it. She was smiling the whole dance. As we stepped off the dance floor I thanked her, we exchanged our names, and that was that...
But I want to follow up with her. Tomorrow, in school, I want to find her and talk with her when I can. If everything goes well, I'm going to propose a Friday or weekend date on Wednesday. If that goes well, then I can turn what was going to be me and two people (a couple) I'm friends with going to a hockey game into one heck of a double date, possibly.
My only concern is that I'm being too optimistic, and thus getting ahead of myself. It was only two dances, and we had never spoken before, despite my interest... she might not be so interested as I. But shucks, I'd be lying if I said I didn't love this giddyness I'm feeling! Boys, I'm going in!

Right and wrong are entirely subjective, so why should it matter whether or not the female has given her consent?
