I got my braces off in December, my teeth have never felt better.

And I'm sure you're all happy to know that I'm brushing more often now. I guess it's just 100 times more enjoyable without braces. :yogi:

Oh my goooood...A topic like this...
hhhh....

There's nothing better than good dentists. That's what I think.
However; I've never had a good luck with 'em...
The one I had back in school was an...old hag...
And there were actually horror stories (and they really were all true) of her.
She drilled at your gums, tongue...basically anything...
It's because of her that the I learned what is the most awful swear word in the world.
It's a dentist saying; "Oopsie...!"

Yeah...I skipped mine EVERY time it was possible...

I scare dentists.
Though after that it's not surprising.
Like I said; there is nothing better than a GOOD dentist,
but...where could I find one? D:

It's better in my time though...When my mother was a child,
we used to have a dentist named Simula. (last name)
There were countless of horror stories of him too (sadly all of them being true too)
The most famous of them is a song that still haunts here.

"Tiedän paikan kamalan, hammaslääkäri Simulan.
Siellä hampaat revitään ja ikenet vain jätetään."

Directly translated it goes something like this:
"I know place horrible, clinic of dentist Simula.
They pull your tooth's out in there and only leave your gums"

...Yes. It was two days ago, actually. x.x I didn't really realize how much I had missed being able to drink water with ice in it though. I can put up with the soreness for that.

... What's a root canal? D:

Anyways, I think I have to go back to the dentist eventually to fix a couple of my cavities. I think I have like 5... which is a lot. Maybe I should use more mouthwash or something.

My other canine's finally starting to grow in. But I just realized that it's growing too close to my other tooth.

I-I think this is bad...

W-what was it like? :sadshoe: Did it hurt? I'm such a wuss at the dentist, and I've been having tooth ache for the past week, and been putting off visiting because I know I need a root canal.

And Dawn, it's sort of like where they remove the nerve of the tooth completely, so it can't hurt anymore in the future. It sounds owwy!

I'd have to say in my opinion, it felt a lot more weird than painful. The worst was the painkiller shot, but of course shots just are made of fail in general. It probably still has the reputation since that should hurt. The soreness for a week or so afterward is more of an annoyance than a problem.

I can put up with weird feeling! It's better than pain. Sigh :sadshoe: Nice £150 dental bill for that too.

Anybody who doesn't appreciate the gentle touch of a latex glove against your gums and the scraping of a metal pick along your teeth as you lay into a reclined chair operates within a world I want no part of.

I just had a cavity filled. I don't know why they keep asking me whether or not I want to use anesthesia. I have to get 2 or 3 fillings every 6 months. He should know by now that I don't need it.

Also, he butchered my new filling... I think a piece of it came off...

No anesthesia? I've had several fillings, all with anesthesia, so I don't know what it feels like without...but I can't imagine that being very pleasant at all?!
