You're gonna buy one, right?
My mother who owns a hospital in Oxford (very big) has a degree in endoscopy and general surgery, and asked if I wanted to see some surgeries over summer, I said yes.
...Then after a few they brought in an emergency patient with tension pnemuthorax (sp?) and when they reached it...

I had to leave the OR.
Then I got Trauma Team a few years later (2010), I refused to do the operation with it in, gave the game to my mother, and she beat the level without flinching.

It's not all that scarring, but it was... interesting...I guess:

I was on a bus and this random boy comes up to me and asks:

"How do men have sex? I mean, why would you want to stick that thing there?"

I died laughing. XD

That hornet looks kinda cute though~

Spoiler: rant
I don't know why so many people seem to be totally afraid of even normal hornets. They aren't that poisonous as everyone thinks and actually, they are a lot less poisonous compared to little normal bees. I get why people with allergies make a fuss when they catch a glimpse of a bee or a similar thing... which I don't get is why people who don't have anything to fear, go totally nuts, scream "omg it's a bee/wasp/hornet!!! Someone kill it!! Fast!!" and start to try killing the animal with pointless brutality instead of just opening a window and letting the thing escape.

I'm a lot less concerned with the poison possibility and more concerned with OW GOD FUCK THEY'RE STINGING ME. Then again, when I was eight or nine, I was attacked by a swarm of yellow jackets who actually chased me all over the yard and then INTO MY OWN HOUSE (and I'm sure that is Youtube gold now, but when you're a kid it is absolutely terrifying). Fortunately, I was only stung three times, but they were all on my face. I was on Benadryl for two weeks just to be on the safe side.

I mean, I get what you're saying, "don't panic simply because you don't understand the nature of the insect." But if I see another swarm flying my way, I sure as hell ain't gonna stick around just to see if they'll be courteous enough to fly around me.

Huh. And in your eye. While it calls all its other acid shitting friends that are apparently too quick to outrun.

Sounds like a B-movie horror flick waiting to happen, actually.

Some people just happen to be afraid of anything that's small and buzzy. Well at least I am. It's terrifying knowing they might sting you at anytime. The fact that some might die from stinging you doesn't help since they'll still sting you anyway. And that "they're more afraid of you than you are of them" idea is bullshit.

Plus, sometimes when you open a window, more bees/wasps/hornets might find their way in.

OH MY GOD. That is really scary :larry:
I am so scared of bees and yellow jackets, I flip out whenever I see one near me (I try my best to calmly, yet quickly walk away from them if it gets to close to me), I can't even begin to imagine what a swarm of them around me could possibly be like... *shudders* I get nervous around any kind of insect. I mean not all of them can sting like bees, wasps, or fire ants, but they still just creep me out. I've been like that for as long as I can remember. The only type of bugs I can tolerate being near me are black ants.

What do wasps contribute to nature? Most animals contribute something that has some purpose to the planet but what is it wasps do?

Bee stung me right in the neck once when I was a kid ran crying into the house. Gave the childminder a right fright as the bee was just sitting placidly on my hand.

I suppose it WAS dying after all...

I'm only scared of big insects like bees and wasps and hornets because there's a possibility i might be allergic to them. Iv'e never been stung thank god, but my mum has and her whole arm got swollen up, or so she says, i wasn't even born then.
So I don't take a risk with them. I'm REALLY scared of them.

Once I was having a bath when i was around 5 and 3 hornets came flying in the window, i'd never seen hornets before and thought they were evil giant space wasps coming to kill us all.
