Oh well, I've never been stung by a bee, wasp or hornet but before you say: "that explains why you aren't afraid but after being stung, you won't be that brave anymore!", there were several occasions where I could have been stung by one or dozen of these:

In our summer residence, there's always a swarm of hornets living in one of our roller shutter boxes, to be precise: they are living in the shutter box of our living room. A lot of times or better said every day, a hornet came into the living room through our open balcony door but never tried to sting anyone of us. Instead she ended up bumping against the ceiling and eventually, after an hour or so, flew out of the balcony door again. Now, that's not too frightening, I know. However, once our roller shutter box got damaged, being in the living room wasn't really fun anymore. We tried to get rid of them many times but they just seem to love that shutter box. It always was kind of cool when you were sitting in the living room, lights turned off and the only thing you could hear was the noise the hornets made. It sounded like the box was going to explode any minute with dozen and dozen hornets flying through the room.

There was also a swarm of wasps living in our cellar but they didn't do anything interesting. Though some of them just loved to fly in my hair more than on one occasion...

...we also have edible dormice living in our attic but that's a different story.

it was all of our faults. we were so dumb to think that a dead peice of wasps nest was nothing. wrong. there was a wasp nest underground, and they followed us fall the way back to the car. Evil creatures.

Wanna know something REALLY scary? DoMaya's affected me. I've become a little DoMaya. On lesser sites, of course, such as The Bell Tree (signed up today for teh lulz and teh tr077z, as I have seen it said, and one post and I was praised by people and had the most mature post on there. FAIL.).
And even worse, my iPod is starting to mess up on my AA tracks!

Well, you know what they say. The more you're around someons, the more you tend to imitate them subconsiously due to visual-audio mental engineering, whether it be from reading something to hearing that person speak.

You know, my initial reaction was "wtf, that's even weirder than tequila worm pops," but now I'm like, "Well, if it keeps the population under control, and they're pretty content with their own system, more power to them." Hell, even the hornet sake is starting to sound good, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like the taste of regular sake.

Yesterday, it all happened so quickly as well. A group of them ganged up on me but I managed to save everything apart from my blackberry. Some witnesses called the police and I'm fine now.

I got lots of spare phones that my family have given me, and my mum offered me her phone to use the Internet if I need to. Orange are sending me a new sim and they blocked the sim and phone.

Don't think they'll find it, but the police were really helpful. They gave me some hot chocolate too.

I second that. You were very lucky that the people who witnessed what happened, actually ended up calling the police, that's not as common as you might think it is. So yeah, glad you're fine!

-----------------

Okay, that might be not weird or awkward but maybe a little scary...or at least outrageous or something like that:

http://www.queerty.com/if-you-buy-anti- ... -20091024/

A very specific part of that article however, got most of my attention:
Quote:
Putting money directly into the hands of parties who campaign against gay rights is hard to defend on any level, even if you're also giving money to groups fighting for gay rights. You cannot have it both ways.

You cannot buy Stephenie Meyer's Twilight — which, because she is Mormon, some 10 percent of her profits will end up going to the Church's anti-gay crusade — and then also donate the same amount to the Courage Campaign. You are still funding hatred.

so, anyone knows how many copies of Mrs. Meyer's Twilight were sold worldwide? I'm really curious how much money that Church's anti-gay campaign gained from that.
