Wow, Germany just totally OBLITERATED Argentina!!! :O

Yes, I am extremely happy that Argentina are out. I'm hoping Spain now go out so that Germany has an easy win. :hotti:

Yeah, Germany are the favourites now. Spain has been playing pretty crappily up till now. But seriously, how could a team ENGLAND look better in their terrible match?

Messi is about as effective as Ronaldo was right now >=|

lulz, true that. What were they doing with him, making him play that deep?
I feel so sorry for Maradona, he's such an awesome guy. I like him better when he's happy. GROUP HUGS~!

I still hold that Spain will not be so easy to beat. And saying that Germany would have an easy final against Holland (let's face it, it's going to be Holland vs. X,) is very presumptuos.

Mmm, you may be right about that. They did defeat Brazil after all (although Brazil must've been having some kinda off-day or something in that match >_>)

Germany just seem so much more organized and skilled than any of their opponents so far.

There are a lot of German members on this forum. Being Irish, I couldn't really post in this thread because I had absolutely no reason to watch it apart from leisure. Which I did, sometimes.

What's funny is that one of my classmates is French (which I think I mentioned before.) Totally going to hound him when we get back.

I guess it's all about Justice in the end. The WC of 1974 comes to my mind, one team played frickin' well (the Netherlands) and one team looked average, nothing special. (ze Germans) Everyone was gutted that the Dutch didn't win it, but in the end the only thing they remember was that Germany won the final in 1974. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Dutch do the same as the Germans did back then.

Of course not counting Spain out, they might give the Germans a go.

Schlaaaaaaaaand!!!!!!

That was just... wow... I thought we would defeat Argentina like we did in 2006, IF we win.
But that 4:0 was unforseeable. It's sad that Müller will be missing in the next match though.... that Argentina-guy didn't get a yellow card even though he used his hand too.
But I guess we will be fine without him for one match, even if our opponent is Spain.

A slew of missed penalties, and... Spain scores, after an agonizingly long wait. Goodbye, Paraguay.

From hereon, things get interesting.

No reason to watch it? I've been watching it so I could see France get kicked out.

And my French teacher actually comes from France. We had her the day after the match between us and France, and couldn't get through the class because other teachers and students kept coming in and insulting her during it. Later, she went and apologized in front of the whole school for being French. XD

Just shit.

Who the hell told Maradona that the same team that beat Mexico would stand a chance against Germany?

Seriously, the whole game (if we had any) had to go through Messi, and the germans knew that they had to block him, so they blocked him, and he couldn't do shit.
Germany fucking deserved it, I admit it. Just not 4-0, but they deserved it. They ran over us. So yeah.

2006 wants a word with Italy. It feels forgotten.
They've agreed to a double date with France and 1998.

They all have some reconciling to do.

Before you ask, It's still 1966 in England. I don't even know what an internet is.

Holland-Uruguay was an amazing match. When Uruguay scored their 2nd goal, I was standing up. Everything could happen. Indeed, an amazing match.

According to Octopus Paul, Spain will beat Germany, and he predicted every single Germany win (and loss, against Serbia), so... Holland-Spain! That will be a pretty interesting match, too. Whoever wins that match would be earning their first World Cup, right?

But who would've thought that the Netherlands would've come this far! Germany and Spain were a given though. Honestly, being my stupid self, I wanted Italy to win... It would've been cool for the defending champions to win again! I was way off!
