I've been to Italy before, it was kinda old (except Milan). And of course, great pasta! :phoenix:

And lots of Italians happen to speak English too. :maya:

So far, my favourite place that I travelled would have to be either Zurich in Switzerland or Tokyo.

Yes.

I have a feeling we're going to lose horribly, but I suppose we're so good at losing by now we should call it a national sport.

It snowed just a tiny bit down here compared to the rest of the country. To think that we always end up with all the other forms of precipitation.. *rolls eyes*, it's just typical.

The snow where I live has been pretty bad over the last week. I don't mind the snow for a day or two but it's just not melting here. It makes driving places pretty scary and scraping ice off my windows is getting pretty annoying :edgeworth:

Apart from the less than desirable weather, I suppose Britain isn't too bad overall. Nice scenery up here and that.

Me and my friend will infiltrate England in a couple of weeks :godot: We'll be flying from Sandefjord to Stansted Airport, and take a quick look around London before we catch the train to Newcastle upon Tyne. We'll be spending a week in the apartment of a norwbritish friend of mine - for the reasonable prize of FREE. I'm looking forward to it! Gonna see the british pubs (we lack decent pubs in Norway. Or there are too few, anyway), see Manchester play against Newcastle, and perhaps do some sightseeing around Northumberland. Looking forward to it, I love Britain!

Just discovered a nice TV show from BBC, actually. Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, absolutely brilliant humour! We norwegians have always loved your television shows, brits! :D

I love being British :godot:
There's only two things that annoy me about this country...
The length of time it takes to get games over here (I had GS4 specially imported from the states the day it came out so that I didn't heve to wait any longer for it... big mistake in my opinion).
And the lack of availability of good manga/anime outside of London. It's so hard to get stuff over here these days :sadshoe:

No kidding. I've always wondered why the crazy Americans (who I have to deal with on a daily basis) would call a game which barely involves the use of the feet "football" while renaming the already appropriately named "football" to "soccer." It's Orwellian, doublethink and all that. (Although 1984 took place in London, so bad example.)

Edited for the truth.

I get annoyed being called British, and always tick the 'other' box under nationality. I have no Scottish or Welsh heritage (or that other one), and whilst I have no problem with them, I don't really feel I should have to declare equal national alliegence to them as to my own country. I wouldn't mind so much, but Scotland get free University education, free hospital car parking and far better health service in terms of access to medicines.

I am not British, I am English, in the same way that Ukrainians are not Russian and Fish is not Chips.
National Pride has gone down the sink, but at least I still have a job.

We are part of Great britain as a country, not "England". We used to be different countries long ago, we aren't anymore. Tough.

It's called 'Great' Britain for a reason guys. We are the home of Gregg's the bakers. Sadly my town is prefixed with the same word yet it's perhaps one of the most inappropriate words for it!

I've never actually been to Starbucks but when one of my friends said a coffee and a muffin came up to about £8 I was horrified.
