Yes... yes, they are, yes, they did.

Shame. Germany really didn't seem on form, though. Lack of Muller? The Spanish defence was pretty good.

Nah, well.

It's sad considering how well Germany played against Argentina. But this time, Spain was better. Way better. Neuer was really good though.

So it will be Holland - Spain. At least we won't get a national trauma if we lose to Spain. That would have happened, had we played against Germany...

I hope not, Uruguay rules as much as Germany does. The incredible tag-team of Luis "REAL Hand of God" Suarez and Diego "The Dreamcrusher" Forlan are going to have their say whether the Germans like it or not.

He punched the ball off the line to stop Ghana scoring in the last minute of extra time, securing their place in the semi-finals.

This time I believe in the octopus and I say Spain will win
However, I wonder how Netherland will play
the only way to beat Spain WOULD be to foul and risk a lot, that is what Germany did NOT.
Also, the Spanish team is a genious, they played all along the World Cup only as much as they must, they never gave it all, what they can. and the lose against Switzerland was intended, I betcha, so that the other nations underhestimate them

1-1! Could still go either way, I guess.

Also, I kinda hate Luis Suarez for his "REAL hand of God" (my best friend's Ghanain). Penalties bite.

OH YEAH, I saw that. And Ghana missed the penalty kick. Now that miss was just luck.

It's still not better than Maradona's, since it isn't a handgoal, and it wasn't one of the goals that made the team win that World Cup (Hand of God was the first goal of Argentina-England in the 1986 semi-finals, which ended 2-1. If it weren't for the Hand of God, we could have lost that match, and who knows who would have won that Cup.)

When I started writing this post, Germany was winning 1-0 with an offside goal, but Uruguay just scored. Promises to be an interesting match.

How did you work out it was offside? He was a yard onside, the defence didn't react.

Anyway. Did you know, Lionel Messi has replicated both the Hand of God and "Goal of the century"

Hand of God v.2
Goal of the Century v.2

Creepy.

Looked offside to me. I'll check again when the match ends and they show it from more angles.

Awesome Uruguayan goal, and the Germans are starting to hate Octopus Paul even more.
EDIT: Oh what the hell 2-2. Is it going to be 1 for Germany>1 for Uruguay>1 for Uruguay>1 for Germany for the rest of the match?

Huh, yeah. Poor Paulie, he's paying the price of being right.

And this IS an epic match. 4-4 with Germany winning in penalties? I rather have Uruguay win, but I'm saying Germany for the sake of Paul.

Holy shit Forlan. If that kick hadn't hit the posts, this match could have ended differenty. All in all, amazing match. Probably one of this World Cup's best. If that was the 3rd Place match, I can't wait for the Finals!

Also, second consecutive time where Germany wins the 3rd Place match with 3 goals. 2006 was Germany 3 - Portugal 1.
And Paul enjoys another victory of his own. That octopus is amazing.

CP: Germany 3 - Uruguay 2.

You know how I mentioned the incredible tag team before? Glad to see they showed their prowess at the very end.

...Suarez wins the foul, Forlan pulls off the amazing free kick.

Shame it didn't go in. Still love you two.

Anywho, I really don't know who to back. Spain for playing bea~utifully against Germany, or the Netherlands for owning Uruguay? Hm...

There's no doubt in my mind. I have been talking about Spain winning for a while now, and there is no way Holland can beat them. I thought they played poorly against Uruguay- they were too aggressive. Spain have the skill to take the trophy, no doubt in my mind.

Jeez! Eight of Holland's team has been booked! And everyone says Spain plays dirty!

Edit: It's 2 mins to go, and Spain is leading 1-0, in an epic moment of freaking FIIIINALLY. Even so, this match was pretty crap.

Congratulations, Spainanians.

Anyone else felt sorry for Sneijder at the end of his match? It was HIS shot that got deflected and went for a goal kick, thus leading to the (magnificent) goal a few seconds later. And this may sound stupid but all the while he's seemed had this Shonen-Boy aura about him; he was definitely the least rough of the Netherlands bunch and it was sad to see him cry. :(

...Oranje were still absolutely awful throughout. Go back to Total Football you stiff tards.
