If you're on a medicinal regimen that requires you to take pills every day, you should start using a calendar or putting reminders on your cell phone. Or maybe put the medication close to something you need to deal with on a daily basis? I dunno, there are several ways to create reminders, though I understand why someone can forget to take pills sometimes. Also, having a psychiatric disorder doesn't make you "insane".

I'm not sure if putting them close by helps. I have my pill in front of my monitor, and since I'm usually at my PC around 9 PM, when I take it, I take it. Sometimes I don't take it until a few hours later, but generally I remember. But then, I forgot to start it up again on Saturday, so I started a day late... oops.

The problem is the fact that I have to take a few different pills, both during the morning and during the evening, so... yeah, reminder on the cell phone would probably be good. Thanks for the advice.
Yeah, I know... That's very true. I was in a strange mood and felt that way.

So I ONCE AGAIN had to cut my own bangs short because I don't have the money to even pay for a fucking haircut. Then again, it's not my fault my bangs seem to grow rather fast and past my eyebrows and into my eyes. Quite annoying to have to deal with that stuff, too. Of course, if I go to our hairdresser, she'll reprimand me for cutting my own bangs again... well excuse me for not having the cash to go to a hairdresser every other month...!

- Which color? Pink, White, Silver, Black or Red.
- Well mine is aqua blue...

Shit. Today I told someone something that could possibly have been completely misinterpreted.
Thing is, I only realized this now, several hours later. *sigh* why this happens to me all the time?

Dear everyone I invited to my graduation party,
You guys can fucking rot in Hell for all I care. Especially the ones who clicked 'attending' on the Facebook invite.
Because not a single. ONE. Of you came. Even after I put a 'friendly reminder' status up.
What, do you just not give a fuck anymore?!
But you know what else sickens me? I saw people that I invited putting up cutesy little statuses or updating their profile picture... While I was waiting, hoping someone other than my family would show up.
So yeah, fuck you.

Sincerely, [Not giving my real name]

PS: This obviously doesn't apply to any of you guys here on CR.

Man Alonso that's horrible :(

Not even any close friends you could call or something? If you invited them on facebook you should drop that message back there for them to see.

That sucks, Alonso. People accepting invites then not coming, with zero notification of a change in plans? Not cool.

Hopefully there's a good explanation, and if not, then I hope you find better friends soon.

Well, the one person I can understand; she had a trip to Colorado planned out for months in advance. But even then, she's one of the people that just let the invite alone.

As for finding better friends, I shouldn't have to wait too long; at the end of August I'm heading off to college.
Move-in day can't come soon enough. Even before this, I've been getting sick of my house in the middle of bumblefuck nowhere.

@Pierre: I couldn't bring myself to put anything like what I posted before on Facebook. Tomorrow I plan on posting a simple, passive-aggressive 'Had a great graduation party yesterday with my family' or something.

I can understand (but not excuse don't get me wrong it's horrible for sure) 'Facebook Friends' being callous and not turning up but didn't you have any close friends? Anyone local? :ron:
It's just...man I can't imagine what it'd be like if my best friend or a nearby one didn't show up to something important to me when they'd said they would.

Hope the family graduation party was at least nice.

Yeah, still had a good time, though obviously not as great as it could've been.
Most of my close friends don't use Facebook. I was probably the most social person in my close circle, and that's coming from someone with Asperger's.
About local people, though... I made sure that everyone I invited lived fairly nearby. As in, I know for a fact that none of them would've had to drive more than, say, 20 miles - which is about as far away as some of the parties I went to. (Like I said before, I live in the middle of bumblefuck nowhere - the nearest towns are about ten miles away each.)
Speaking of that, some of them were the same people that invited me to their parties.

I prefer to make invitations face to face or even texting each one of my friends individually rather than sending them Facebook notifications cause I think a personal approach makes them feel how their presence is important to me. Some people just don't take anything that's on social media seriously, you know?
Anyways, that really sucks. I hope someone gives you an explanation, even if late, of why they haven't attended to your event.

Hehe. Makes me think of those passive aggressive whiners that complain but never actually explain things. "Had a great party with just my family... DON'T ASK WHY!!" Not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just saying it hilariously reminds me of those people. They amuse me.

Honestly, I can't deal with passive-aggressive people. It really gets my blood boiling when people are indecisive and passive-aggressive to boot. It reminds me of my early college days when we had to work in groups of 5 and we had to divide several tasks.

We had 5 tasks each week and some tasks were harder than the other. Didn't matter since this differed every week so everything would compensate eventually. So in the first week I had a relatively hard assignment and a girl who immediately pops into my mind when I think 'indecisive and passive-aggressive' had an easy one. No problems so the next week it was the other way around. No objections were made when we divided the tasks for week 2 so we proceeded with everything.
Starting week 3 we put all our work together and this girl obviously only did half work. So I called her out on it and asked if she could offer an explanation for it. She said that she wasn't 'comfortable' with this subject (it was law by the way) and said she would have all the work done if she only had another assignment instead of this one.
Well, you can't be good at everything and that's why I asked why she didn't mention this when we divided the tasks in week 2 instead of when it should be DONE. She said that nobody asked her if she was capable of doing the assignment so when we asked her to do it she simply agreed to it.

I lost my shit internally. I got blamed for not double checking something that is expected from every student in the course instead of the person herself saying: I'm not good with this so I need help or a different assignment. And she did this kind of thing a lot. Not voicing her opinion when needed and not saying, but implying that her mistakes were our fault.

Thinking back on it still makes me angry. And to think I had to work with her for 20 weeks makes me really glad I'll never have to see her again.
Face your emptiness don't be afraid. The danger is often smaller than your fear.

Doesn't matter if someone is comfortable with a subject, you still work with it. Heck, often there is a subject in a game or a book that just enrages me. But I still have to go through with it if I want to proceed in the game or find out what happens afterwards in the book. (Different situation, but the overall idea is the same)

Aaargh fuck you Nintendo for not giving me an Ethernet cable option to plug my fucking 3DS to the internet. Not everybody has access to wireless you asstesticle! Fuck you! I just need that fucking patch for Devil Survivor Overclocked so the fucking game won't fucking freeze multiple times by doing the tiniest of things in-battle or during auctions! Fuck you twice!

I either have to opt for taking some hot spots in a McDonald's or so or wait until a portable wireless gets into the house. Fuck you again, Nintendo. And fuck you double for letting a game with such bugs be released on your console. Harvest Moon DS was released multiple times when fixing bugs. Why can't you do that here, huh!? Fuck you!

....

No portable console to date has been able to plug an Ethernet cable in.

Also Devil Survivor Overclocked wasn't made by Nintendo, lay the blame on Atlus for not testing it properly.

I don't fucking care who, whether it was apparently Overlight or what not. And I have nothing against there being a bug in the game - annoying as it may be - when there's some way to get a patch to get rid of it. What does bug me is when I am incapable of getting to the patch due to some small thing that shouldn't matter (what they can't make a USB connection to the PC with smaller USB plugs on the console's side? No that sort of thing is separate because SCREW YOU, GIVE US MONEY - and in the Nintendo Wi Fi USB Connector case not even available in normal stores anymore) or when there is a known bug and the company does fuck all about it.

I tried the McD part and it worked...! For about 5 minutes and then it stopped. Strangely enough, when I was about a kilometer AWAY from home, the 3DS DID list one of our TPLink boxes as a potential access point... no idea why it can't do that when I'm sitting next to the fucking modem or TPLink box to begin with. But since I don't know the security key by heart, I couldn't try it out.

The fuck.

I actually have a USB to 3DS connector however that wouldn't let you run internet off it anyway.

Have you looked to see if there's a way to download the patch to a laptop or computer? Then you could copy it to the SD card and voila it's on the 3DS.

I don't suppose you'd be able to ask someone for the key, write it down, then take the slip of paper to wherever you can get a connection?

(I know, obvious tip is obvious :ron: )

@Pierre: I doubt there'd be a way to get the patch files on their own. After all, the way the 3DS stores game files on the SD card involves a maze of nonsense file names and folders if you open it up with a computer.

I know I've tried myself, but I figured that was to prevent copying data from 3DS, for something like patch data...which is free anyway perhaps with the right call and an explanation they could help you out *shrug*

The 3DS is a bit finicky when it comes to Internet connections. It'll only connect to routers that have certain encryption settings or something.
It's not nearly as bad as older systems, but still not the greatest... :ron:

Screw the boss from Oracle of Ages' fifth dungeon - Crown Dungeon. What the hell is wrong with giving me even a single boss that's basically "slash it a shit ton of times with your sword", huh? NOPE! This is Oracle of Ages, we must make EVERYTHING a freaking puzzle! Puzzle bosses! No, not "Use this item to defeat the boss" type of puzzles in other Zelda games, nope, we must have "Use this item JUST RIGHT and think while also dodging the fucking blue clouds to figure out how to damage the boss with your sword AFTERWARDS".
Fuck this game!

Ok. So there's this new neighbour, who I only came to know now that is a deaf-mute. Before I knew that, I have tried to talk to this guy two or three times about his fucking noisy dog, all of them ending with him sending me an evil "I-Want-To-Kill-You" eye (and for obvious reasons, not answering me)
Ooooh, I'm so sorry I didn't know Your Majesty is a deaf-mute. Now he started the habit of leaving thrash on his doorstep every day. The fuck, the guy may be a deaf-mute, but he isn't blind, as far as I know. The rules of my apartment complex are clear, no fucking thrash on the goddamn doorstep, yet everyone seems to be complacent with the guy because he is a deaf-mute. I'm sure as hell that if I complain about anything, I'll just get the reputation of the villain, the bad bitch who is intolerant with the poor deaf-mute.

I hate it when handicapped people get the rules bent for them just cause of their handicap. Especially since his handicap of being deaf-mute doesn't somehow incapacitate his ability of walking or carrying things.

Right? I think people should try to treat handicapped people as equally as possible, and this includes expecting them to follow some basic rules. At least, this is what I'd want if I had any disability.

Yes and No. Depending on the handicap, the person simply can't do certain things. But in this case, he's deaft-mute. Which has nothing to do with somehow not being able to carry garbage outside. I mean, okay, when we were renovating, we had a bookshelf out in the house hallway (actually a no-no) but once the painting and moving was done, I brought it back inside until someone came to pick it up.

If you're sensitive to descriptions of traffic accidents and stuff, do not read this:

Spoiler: What happened today
So I was driving today through this big traffic jam this morning (my third time driving alone, actually). The street opposite to my direction was empty and watching all those cars going by while I was stuck on a complete stop was annoying.

Then suddenly these two motorcyclists slammed into each other, one on the way out of a small plaza and the other going in. Both were going REAAAAAALLY fast. Who the hell speeds out of a parking lot without looking both ways and who the hell speeds into a parking lot? So as you can imagine, neither of the two morons were wearing a fucking helmet. It happened so fast, one guy just fell on the spot while the other was thrown a couple of meters and his head hit a curb.

I don't remember what happened to the guy who fell on the spot (I think he walked away unscathed). As for the guy who flew... I could see his legs shaking violently as three men carried him off the street and laid him down on the sidewalk. My first reaction was to step out of the car, pick my phone and call emergency, even though I knew it would probably be useless. I was slightly annoyed at how everybody seemed to treat the guy like a piece of a museum exhibition...
Then the attendant on the phone asked for graphic details, so I had to catch a closer look. I moved a bit closer, then I saw the guy's head open up and blood started pumping out.

It was crazy, maybe the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life, his whole body was shaking uncontrollably and blood going everywhere. Nobody did anything, they just laid him down and were apparently too afraid to go near him.

For some reason though I didn't feel anything as I watched this guy's life ending. It almost felt like everything was a movie and I was watching the scene from outside. I was extremely calm, giving all the possible details over the phone. I always thought that seeing someone die (especially in this kind of manner) would get me really disturbed and make me panic. I was surprised (and I still am) at how indifferent I was watching this whole thing in person. Now I'm thinking: is there something wrong with me? Maybe it's because I didn't know the guy and they were both clearly at fault. Or maybe I'm just really cold.

I wouldn't know. I've been in a few minor accidents (i. e. no one is injured), and my memory is that I've always been pretty calm in those situations, but I don't know if I'd be the same if someone was badly injured. I've also come across all manner of injured or dead animals thanks to my living with cats. Same response: I tend to be calm. It's probably best not to assume your ability to stay calm makes you coldhearted or anything like that, but I imagine that's easier said than done. You also had an emergency worker walking you through the situation, so that probably helped you keep your cool, too.

Yeah, you kinda answered your own question there, hon. Morons who don't wear helmets are also the morons who speed into or out of things.

I'm kinda thinking the realization of it hasn't quite hit you yet. As for staying calm, that's probably something you did because you subconsciously knew that it was the right thing to do. After all, I doubt that screaming and crying hysterically would be a very helpful thing to do in such a situation.

Similar with me, when my mother realized she was gonna faint and told me to call the ambulance, she lay down on the floor (feet up) and I remained rather calm when calling the guys. I was a bit worried while we waited for them to arrive and I think I only began to slightly break down into tears when my mother was in the hospital and I knew other people, who were much more qualified than I, were taking care of her. Similarly, when she went into a slight shock some other time due to loss of blood (tooth operation, the wound was bleeding again), I instinctively grabbed a bathrobe and blanket and put it on her to keep her warm.

Maybe? Because I still don't feel like I have seen this accident right in front of my eyes. Even knowing I did see everything happen, I feel like it was something from a movie, a video or a fiction story when I talk about it.

I think my selective memory has already taken out plenty from the accident. Good I guess. I think though if I wasn't in the safety and comfort of inside the car listening to a happy song, I could've taken it much differently. So there was a barrier between me and the victim - I would've definitely freaked the hell out if I saw someone get shot in front of me, for example.

I hope this won't bother me somewhere in the future, like being called to testify about the accident as a witness. Not a good thing to be constantly reminded of...

.....Damn, this thread got dark really quickly. One second the topic is about a deaf-mute person spilling garbage, and the next second it's about watching someone die right in front of you. Damn. :payne:

I hear you there. I can't stand the heat, and the same holds true for bright sunlight. One upside of where I live is that the summers are relatively mild. The downside is that seasons are almost nonexistent here.

Out of curiosity, how hot is it on your end? And don't worry about converting to Fahrenheit; I'm familiar with the Celsius scale.
