I'm a huge computer geek, and my favorite number is 256. Therefore, I randomly transposed that into 16BitSquared. Confused as to why it appears as "16BitsQuaRed" on the box to the right of this?

...WELL YOU SHOULD BE! *starts laughing maniacally*

That part's because, like many people, I claim to be halfway crazy. But I'm not. I'm more like three-eighths, or 37.5%.

*Pulls up a chair*

Alrighty. So a while back I had this roleplay and a character of whom I dubbed "Vixen." Not sure why I chose that name, but it just seemed to fit at the time. So as that progressed I began using Vixen as my name for everything. That is, until I got seriously sick of it. "Vixen" had a special meaning to me, but to everyone else it means some silly fox-obsessed girl. Plus I got bored of looking at it.

At the same time, it was difficult to use "Vixen" as a username because it was always taken. My solution? Put something random in front of it. Originally it was "Fullmetal" obviously for my liking of FMA. I got sick of that pretty quickly and wanted to replace it with something more... original.

One of our little... let's call it "vocabulary words" in my English class was "Melancholy." I had always loved that word as depressing as the meaning was. So, I thought of that and replaced Fullmetal with Melancholy. I still sometimes use "Melancholyvixen" as my username, so if you see one of those somewhere it's prolly me.

Back to my sick-of-vixen, I shortened it to just "MelancholyV" because I hated the v-word and "Melancholy" alone was always taken.

Phew. :Hoboright:

Um.... does mine need explaining? At all? Well, except my inability to come up with usernames, does it REALLY need explaining? Okay, maybe it does.

1. Grab my inability to make up usernames and you put it in a bowl. And you mix it up, mix it up
2. Take my love for Phoenix Wright and throw them in too. And you mix it up, mix it up
3. Grab the character limit for usernames and chuck em' in as well. And you mix it up, mix it up

Then you feed it pony. Feed it to a pony. Feed it to a pony. Feed it to a pony. Feed it to a pony. Feed it to a pony. Feed it to a pony, yeah. Feed it to a pony, yeah.

Then you get Wright'sNo.1Fan!! Get it? Get it? Get it?

I'm going to be very blunt with you; thanks to my brain enjoying fucking with me (as do most human brains), when I first read your username, the words nigger, big, and dick popped out at me. It's a clever anagram mind you.

I don't even remember the VH part, but I do remember the Taffy part, and that is thanks to a great counterstrike player I saw when I was like eight. Emulation ftw

It never appeared in the series like that.

It's a reference to a Silent Hill Let's Play. The dude was reading out the text, and every time a door was jammed, he'd say "jammededed". Thus it became my general online nickname.

Back when I was young there was this forum on Nintendo's website known as the "Nintendo Nsider forums". I was a little kid and I really wanted to join since I REALLY loved Nintendo! (still do) So I got my sister to help me sign up. As my username, she put "Davidgui" which is my name and the first three letters of my last name. After a while, I started to dislike my username just a little. I then thought "Maybe I should tell people to call me something else..." Then the dumbest (yet greatest) idea popped up. My name is David and I'm a man. Put it together and you get "D-Man".

Stupid? Yes. Catchy? I think so. As for Davidgui, I started using that username as a second resort whenever a website already had someone with the username "D-Man". So yeah, that's my uninteresting story. :grossburg:

When I was really young, my brother played this online game for a long time. He played it so much, I got kind of jealous ( it looked kinda fun :sillytrucy: ) so I asked if he could make me an account. After a short discussion, we resorted to have the main name as "Ducky" and the numbers after it (because the name "Ducky" was taken :sadshoe: ) would be "2432" since it was named after my brother's username, and it was quite catchy. Thus, the name "Ducky2432" was born! :edgy:

A long time ago in a far away video game called LittleBigPlanet, I played with a friend on PSN. When we first met, I was using my dad's unused account, tfvang (which I still use right now). He quickly cameup with a catchier name from that; Fang. Now I use "Fang" as my partial online ID everywhere, with variations such as GrandMageFang (youtube).

As for Stiltzskin, ever played Final Fantasy IX? Stiltzskin was quite the moogle. :maya:

Haah.
This could take a long post.

Basically, when I was signing up to YouTube out of boredom eons ago, I was stuck on a username. Everything I first thought of was taken, so I thought about it for a while. I was a massive fangirl of the Artemis Fowl series back then, and I had a cipher for the made-up language in it, called Gnommish.

GnommishReader = I can read Gnommish.

Since then it's kind of become my habitual username everywhere, first thing I go for whenever signing up and I've never seen it been taken anywhere else. :3
And that is the story behind my long username.

Hmm...about my username...
Well, I usually ''borrow'' another person's username for other websites, or just mix two usernames I like.
But anyway...
A couple of years ago, I was trying to come up with a cool and original username for some website. I thought first on something that I would like and that other people would, but my first ideas were already taken.
Then I thought of mixing random words. And after a (not really) long time, I came up with ''KokoroKiwi''.
''Kokoro'' means ''heart'' in japanese, and I added ''Kiwi'' to the name just because it sounded good together.

I'm sure many of you have marveled at the ingenious workings of a pseudonym such as the one I possess. What sort of brilliant mind came up with a name like that? you may find yourself asking. The name itself is so simple, not unlike Heath Ledger's idea on how to deal with a bothersome vigilante who dresses up like a flying nocturnal mammal. And yet... it's so dignified. The harsh pronunciation of the primary letter R is complimented by the soothing sound of the low, unrounded vowel O followed by the soft drop-off of the V.

Well, if you care to know the tale, I will regale you with the story in its entirety. As a boy I had a variety of hobbies, some which I carried over into adulthood, and some which I no longer pursue. The friends I made as I grew up generally had the same interests as I, which is probably the reason why I found it easy to get along with them. My friends were all people with whom I shared a bond of mutual affection, and thus was the reason we would spend ample amounts of time sharing experiences together and generally enjoying the company of each other.

One of these particular instances, in fact the very instance in which my pseudonym was coined, was spent with two of my friends in the den of the first one's home. We were enjoying a sporting match of Hal Laboratory's Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Nintendo GameCube video game console. At the time I was extremely novice with the game; I would generally choose only to play as the characters I was familiar with. I had my proverbial buttocks served to me for the duration of what was almost certainly every match. It was as if I had been inhabiting an island populated by nobody else except for butlers, and they wanted nothing more than to serve me.

In any case, it was then that I decided to select another character to become my instrument of battle. A character that I would manipulate in such a way that a harmonious melody of attacks, parries, and dodges would give me the upper hand in this virtual combat simulator. We entered the character select screen. I moved my cursor through the characters until I arrived at one who I was unfamiliar with. The cathode-ray tubing system that powered the screen of the moderately sized television illuminated the character's name with a mixture of red, green, and blue bars of light, arranged in a horizontal pattern simulating a white light to the eyes of anyone who was located a certain distance away from the screen.

I, being located several feet away from the television set, did perceive the light as white, as well as the letterforms that the light created with its pattern. Or so I thought. The first letter of the character's name was simple enough to comprehend: a stem rising upward and arching to the right, closing upon itself at about half the length of the stem to create a semi-circular area, and then extending with a foot-like protrusion from the reconnection in a downward slant that ended at the imaginary baseline where the stem began, and extended as far from the stem as the aforementioned arch-enclosure. That letter was R.

The second letter was an even simpler feat of perception: A tall, rounded formation with no discernible beginning nor end; an infinite loop of a letter. Not a perfect circle, no, it was far more ovular in shape, having a greater horizontal distance between the top-most point and the bottom-most than its vertical width between the furthest left and right points. This letter was O.

Thirdly, the final letter of the character's name was shaped in a way that I comprehended to be two slanted lines rising up from a single base-point to form an unenclosed triangular shape. In actuality, the slanted lines arose from the apex of a short vertical stem that would normally be responsible for nearly half the letter's height. On this display, however, the stem was only a fraction of the height that is common, and so was easily mistaken for non-existent. What had been a Y looked comparatively like a V.

I was quickly corrected by my friends after making the mistake of reading the name "ROY" as "ROV", however, being the intellectual prodigy that I was, I felt that the occasion of the mistake was an opportunity for creation. Thus, after selecting the character Roy (who I later learned was the star of North America's first Fire Emblem game) I selected the naming feature located in the character selection menu and created the handle of Rov, stylized in all-capital letters. From that point on, whenever I had the opportunity to do so, I would always use Rov as my personal identifier while playing games in the Super Smash Bros. series of platforming-fighters.

Throughout my youth I used several other pseudonyms as personal identifiers while communing over the internet, but none of them lasted very long. I would eventually grow tired of one and cast it away, discarding my former identity. I was a snake. A snake that went through the rain and occasionally fed on tree frogs. In order for me to grow it would be mandatory for me to shed my old skin. I gave up my former selves, my lives, if you will, not for honour, but for you. In my time, there will be no one else. Crime, it's the way I fly to you. I'm still in a dream, snake eater.

When I was young and reckless, namely 9 years old, I wished ever so much to go on a particular online game. With my current obession with the musical 'Cats', I decided that the best username for myself was to use one of the character names and I chose 'Rumpleteazer'. And due to my prone to error self, I acidentally spelt it as Rupleteaser.
I was rather naive and didn't realise the mistake for quite some time, untill I became a few years older. Thankfully I am passed the stage of the particular online chat room and I grew to like the typo enough to keep it as my user name for other places. And when I joined CR around a year ago, I changed the 'Teaser' to 'Badger' to fit in more with AA.

Not much of a story, but it's something.
