I miss being in primary school, we used to do art and design Valentine's Day cards every year. It used to be great fun. My cards were always great, I'd always write these cheesy poems for everyone. =]

Another thing I found slightly odd on Facebook, an event called "Tell Her She's Beautiful" is happening tomorrow. While the concept is innocent and nice, the ideals are just like Valentine's Day. Why do we need a day to tell someone that they're beautiful, or that you love them?
For all of you spending Valentine's inside, don't hate the holiday, it's just because people take advantage of what it used to be.

It's only natural that humans communicate their feelings better over text than face-to-face. When we are hurt, when we are nervous, or even when we're happy, we express through text. Everyone's like that, don't think you're messed up, you're not.

If you do something extra nice in any of the 364 days (or 365, every 4 years) that are not February 14, your couple might get used to it. And then, if you don't have dinner in a fancy restaurant every week, she will be all "WTF WRES MY DINNER LOL", and there's a high chance that she's dumping you in a month's time.
Now, in Valentine's Day, you can time and/or money to show in an unusual way that you love/really care for somebody, and they won't get used to it! Because the sudden love explosion was just for that day! If they expect you to be that romantic any other day, it's their problem!
