It's because of an inability to anthropomorphize a doll, despite it being constructed in such a purpose. Your inability to see recognizable human traits in a doll shaped like a human disturbs you subconsciously. It looks human, but nothing about it looks as if it could truly operate as a living creature. You cannot see any semblance of personality in it.

Ugh dolls, forgot about them.

I watched First Born last night, that made me even more creeped out by baby dolls even though it doesn't even do anything scary.

When I was about 8 my best mates mam had porcelein dolls all over the house DX

I have a Tinkerbell doll though.

Yea, Dolls. I absolutely despise the ones that look like this:
Spoiler: "Be gone Satan!"

I think this is actually an extrapolation of my mild phobia of those life-size dummies at those museums which like to show snapshots of old life. As a toddler I was petrified of these vague humanoids who looked not quite human enough, but just enough that I could imagine them alive. Just thinking about them makes my blood run cold and me feel nauseous.

I'm not afraid of dolls, I fear nothing physical.
I can break a doll, cure a disease, climb a mountain...
But memory is one thing I cannot replace, cannot regain or replicate.

It disturbs me to no end that I have forgotten more things then I remember.
Names,
Friends,
Games played as children,
Pictures,
Poetry,
Songs,
Dreams,
Hopes.

All of these things decay in my mind, and nothing I can ever do will stop it.
I am destined to forget, all things.

But in my soul, they remain.
Pure and clean, all things what were once my memory.

These echoes of memory will remain past life, as they echo on in everyone I meet.

I am scared of indoor heights. For example, looking off a cliff? No problemo. Rollercoaster? Easy. But inside a shopping department, looking down to ground floor from a balcony? Nooo way. I don't know why its indoors I am scared of, but there you have it.

Dolls I am fine with. Some look creepy, but I mainly laugh at the creeper looking ones.

Mainly I have a fear of heights, the higher the scarier. (Lot of people with this fear too.)

I am also afraid of not succeeding in life. A lot of people tell me I'll be fine, but there's no way of knowing for sure yet.

My fears, they tend to change;

-Snakes (DAMN YOU, ZAK BAGANS!) But yeah, snakes scare me, AND I WILL RUN FOR MY LIFE IF I SEE ONE.

-Demonic possession (Oh shi-.) There's no telling what could happen if that happens. Then again, most might call this fear dumb, since this follows along things like ghosts and stuff.

-Spiders (Ahaha.) Especially big one. Scorpions get this fear too.

-Being hugged by strangers *larger* than me (Not in the sense of being taller, but being heavier-set and bigger than me.) I'm sorry, but I can't help it. I don't wanna die in the arms of a really big person.

-Guns, knives, and other big sharp objects (Self-explanatory.) Needles don't scare me as much.

-Stalkers (Yeah.) I'ma stab the next person I don't know who tries to stalk me.

-Rape, having kids, especially twins, and being left to care for a child past 13 or 12.

-The Living Dead Dolls tend to scare me, but they're not really that scary once you're used to them.

Question; What's creepypastas? Is it something really bad?

I thought I didn't have that many fears, but after reading all this... I guess I fear a lot of things.
Spiders; mainly huntsmans and tarantulas. I've never seen a tarantula except for it being in a glass box, but they're creepy. I think it's the ginormous body and thick hairy legs that creep me out.
Heights; not a big fear as it once was, but it's still a little scary.
Depths; like, the ocean. If I'm on a boat and I can't see any land anywhere, I'd probably panic. I'm afraid of getting bitten by a shark. Or being dragged down by mutant seaweed.
Public speaking; enough said. :sadshoe:

I know it's childish, but I am waaaaaaay too easily scared. A frightening picture, movie, story or voice will repeat in my memory all night while I try to sleep. TRY being the keyword there.

Here's a few things that gave me troubles; I really wish I wasn't so easily frightened by trivial things:

- Reading about a huge spider that actually follows you in the desert because it likes your shadow. It can keep up with cars at regular speeds. (50-70 km/h)
- Reading a few disturbing stories on Creepypasta. I have a really good imagination and often end up replaying the stories in my mind with images attached.
- Watching the Saw series at school with a few friends. I don't know why, but now I always fear that somebody like Jigsaw might exist in the real world.
- Dreaming about a fall from a great height. I was in a mall, on a high ledge near the roof for some reason. I suddenly fell, and as I hit the ground, I suddenly awoke.
- The fear of getting shot. Yes. I'm much better now, but even a few years back, I was afraid a car might drive by and a passenger would unexpectedly shoot me.
- Windows/Doors in the dark. Every freaking time I look at one at night, I just picture something slowly looking through it.
- The dark in general. A noise I don't know, wind outside, shadows, or just anything that isn't right.
- The fear of waking up, and being completely alone. Imagine waking up one day, and NOBODY was around. Nobody answers on your computer.

Wow, I'm sure there's more too. You all have permission to laugh at my weaknesses.

Camel spiders!!! :zenitora:

Ahem anyways, my fears:

- Being operated on
- Passing out or falling unconscious (I dunno it's just always scared me)
- Clowns (at an early age)
- My own health
- Panic attacks (I've had a lot in the past and they never failed to scare me shitless when they happened)
- The unknown, namely what happens after you die

EDIT: Oh yes, and FRIGGIN' CAMEL SPIDERS!

Oh yay, some of these sound similar to dreams or fears I've had.
-F***ing spiders! I just remembered that in 4th grade, my class had a tarantula for a pet, and we named it Bob. Then Bob died. Now he lays in a coffin near the elementary gym.
-My imagination's kinda like that, only I think it's a bit too overactive. YAY FOR GORY URBAN LEGENDS!
-I'm pretty sure that someone either has or will later on. But for now, Think Happy Thoughs!!
-I've had that dream before, only it involved a really tall flagpole, and then it came loose and started falling towards the ground, then when I hit the ground, I woke up too.
-............Ooooooh, now I'm gonna have thoughts that Kayako Saeki or Samara is hiding the shadows of my room.
-That last one worries me now.

Okay, now I'm freaked after hearing about that spider.... And I'm not even afraid of them really :3 Desert Spider will haunt my dreams tonight >.<

And you know I'll always answer =)

Forgot to mention, roller coasters scare the bejeezers out of me *shudders* My aunt and mother by some black magic managed to smuggle me onto the Dragon rollercoaster at Legoland when I was five (WHO LETS A FIVE YEAR OLD ON A PROPER ROLLERCOASTER ANYWAY) and, yeah... they turn me into a quivering mass with the mental capacity of a jelly. EDIT: Oh, and huntsman spiders get me every time... *shudders* If I encounter one in Thailand next year, I may just cry.

Death by a long-term, wasting illness. O_O I don't care if I die fast and young. I would rather live, of course, but I won't be a coward just for the sake of a fragile silver thread-for the sake of my 'life'. [Ooh, I think I just inspired myself.] I love doing things that people might call scary: the best times of my life feature some major adrenaline rushes. I wanna go skydiving someday~
But the idea of slowly dying, a little bit at a time, immobilized, with stuff hooked up to me...Image Even worse is the idea of a coma. I have informed my parents that should I ever enter a coma, and the doctors say there's not much hope, I want them to pull the plug and donate my organs.

At least then I'll make some kid somewhere healthy and can live on in them.

Also, I have a recurring dream about throwing myself in front of a bullet to save people. The person I save is always different. After the shooting in my neighborhood, this dream has REALLY freaked me out.

Okay, that camel spider is massively creepy. I'm glad I live about as far from the desert as one can get. O_O

My intel report (thank you PandaPrinzessin, you are a brave soul) has just informed me of possibly the most frightening spider ever.

Beware of Goliath spiders. They have a leg span of about 30 cm, make defensive hissing noise, are incredibly venomous, eat birds and rats, and are insanely aggressive. They can also live for about 25 years. Be warned that these are spiders that will eat each other if necessary. They also create burrows and wait for their prey. They can also have up to around 120 underlings with them at once.

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

Ohgodspiders. I'm still f*cking traumatized by that picture with the huge spider's legs sticking out from behind the wall-clock. Most of you probably know that pic, it's been going around on the internet for a long time.
I'm not hysterically afraid of spiders cause we don't have any seriously poisonous species in Finland, but they definitely give me the creeps.
There was once this big spider in the sink, and when I tried to swat it with something the bitch jumped onto my arm. I screamed and ran. :ron-jazz:

Oh and Looby: screw you. Now I can't get the thought of papercut in the eye out of my mind. ;_;

I'm terrified of being outside in the dark. There's something about being alone in the dark with a pitch black forest surrounding me (I live out in the middle of the woods) that just puts me on edge and makes me run back into the house.

When I used to have to wait for the schoolbus before the crack of dawn I would beg my parents to take me up the driveway. Most of the time I had to walk up to my bus stop with a flashlight to see, and I would sometimes see eyes glowing out in the darkness... *shudder* Living in a place where rabid animals are completely possible is quite terrifying.

My other one is a crippling fear of bees and hornets. I can't stand em' at all. I run every time one gets near me.

I'm afraid of those films in general. I don't like to see people dying, except for things like Rush Hour or when it is a film about a detective who has to find a killer, like Sherlock Holmes.
However, I only have this problem if it's a film or a TV series with actual actors. If I see an anime, read a book, or play a game, I don't have said fear.

And I'm afraid of Candirus. I don't have a problem with spiders, though.

I'm afraid of those films in general.I don't like to see people dying, except for things like Rush Hour or when it is a film about a detective who has to find a killer, like Sherlock Holmes.
However, I only have this problem if it's a film or a TV series with actual actors.

Oooh, then you wouldn't like the movie "Live Wire". DX BAD THINGS HAPPEN IN THAT MOVIES!

My worst fears:
- Anything involving the wrist. Seeing it, touching it, anything. I have no idea why. At least I know I'll never be emo.
- Knives. Seriously, if you brought one within a foot of me, I would start crying. And I never cry.
- Being alone.
- Elevators. I'm always terrified that they'll suddenly drop.

Minor fears:
- Bugs that bite. I could snuggle a tarantula no problem, but if it bites, just... no.
- Being on a high floor with a window taking up a whole wall. It looks like you could easily just fall out D=
- Calling people on the phone. Seriously.
- A certain friend of mine. She knows all of my fears and she uses them to her advantage D=
- Needles.
- Feeling helpless.
- Small spaces. Haha claustrophobia.
- Fear of long words AKA Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.

Yeah, that's all I can think of. Oh, and the last one was just a joke. Sorta.

Letting down my parents- Hoo boy. I don't like to say my life is driven by fear, but everything I do, I do to keep my parents happy. I hid the existence of this site, delete a large amount of my browser history, tell my parents nothing that's going wrong and try my best to do perfectly in school. I want to talk to them about this, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

...yeah, my parents believe I'm popular. It's not like I'm hated or teased, but popular is far from correct.

Anyways, my largest fear is leeches. Think about it. They're little black things with no eyes or anything, and get one near your skin and it'll suck your blood. Unfortunately for me, my dad and two-thirds of my cousins (all 33 of them) enjoy fishing. Yay. Next is wasps (I've been stung by 4 bees, 15 wasps, and 1 hornet),
Spoiler: Lost, Season 1 (Hey, somebody might just be starting it...)
then Ethan from Lost.
Anyone who's seen the show knows who I'm talking about.
Spoiler: Lost, up to Season 3
Smoke Monster? Pffft. Eko p0wned that thing. But Ethan...
